Located in Dana Point, CA (1/2 mile South of Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel & the St. Regis Monarch Beach). This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground level condo in the well maintained Niguel Beach Terrace at Strands Beach complex that comfortably sleeps 6 persons.
Located on a palm lined street on the beach side of Pacific Coast Highway, you have the ocean to the right and our condominium complex on the left. At this point you are 'steps' away from the Strands Beach at Salt Creek Beach Park.
This area of Dana Point with it prominent coastal bluffs, is also known as The Headlands and is part of what is referred to as the 'Gold Coast' or 'California Riviera'. With Laguna Beach to the north and San Clemente to the south, this is the ideal location for your Southern CA visit. You are central to all of Southern California and its attractions! 60 miles from Los Angeles International Airport and 60 miles from Sea World in San Diego.
From here you can day trip to Joshua Tree National Park (2.5 Hrs), Palm Springs (2.3 Hrs) or Snow Ski (2.5 Hrs). Las Vegas is only 5.5 Hrs away.
Strands Beach, favored by locals, is actually the Southern portion of the Salt Creek Beach Park. It is a popular surfing beach that consistently rates an A+ in water quality. It is not uncommon to see dolphins or seals while visiting the beach. This is the same beach that guests from the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and The St. Regis at Monarch Beach use.
Our condo underwent an extensive remodel a few years back were everything was rebuilt and improved. This Strands Beach Condo has the look and feel of a quality California hotel while delivering a comfortable home-like atmosphere.
LIVING ROOM - We have porcelain tile flooring throughout for a clean sanitary environment. Lighting is recessed and dimmable. The sofa converts to a queen size sleeper. We've added a comfortable arm chair and some ottomans for additional seating. We have a 42' LCD TV, DVD Player, an AM/FM/MP3 player, Wireless Broadband, board games, playing cards, assorted children's and general DVD titles as well as a Wii gaming system.
KITCHEN****We've modified the floor plan to open the kitchen to the living area and patio so you're always in the conversation. New cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with a good selection of pots, pans and utensils. The dining area seats six, has dimmable lights and ceiling fan.
BEDROOMS**** The master bedroom has a king size bed with pillow top mattress. Our guest bedroom has a queen size bed with pillow top mattress as well. Recessed, dimmable lighting with ceiling fans, porcelain tile floors with large area rugs. Both open to private patios. Our large master bedroom has a flat panel TV and a desk . AM/FM clock radios are provided.
BATHROOMS****The master bath has a shower with frameless enclosure, The guest bath has tub w/ shower. Both have extensive tile work, granite, satin nickel finishes and recessed dimmable lighting. Lighted makeup mirror, blow dryer are provided. Plenty of soft towels also.
PATIOS**** We have two outdoor patio areas. One connects off the kitchen/dining area and has a gas barbeque and seating. The other is off the living room and guest bedroom. this one is more of a garden environment, ideal for reading, relaxing, conversing.
AMENITIES: Beach towels, beach chairs, Boogey boards, beach umbrella, a soft sided cooler w/wheels are included. A washer and dryer are also provided.

Nicely appointed two bedroom ideal for two couples. We walked the beach boardwalk daily, nice parking and wonderful heated pool. Enjoyed washer dryer in the unit, albeit small. Used patio grille each night for salmon and scallops. Loved that it was all ground level as we got our stairs going to the beach. We rented this unit last minute as our Santa Barbara home fell thru and Patrick was terrific with exceptional service. Ralph's grocery close on the PCH and we loaded up on arrival. Great location super close to San Clemente, Laguna Beach hot spots and the Mission at San Juan. Weather was fantastic enjoyed the sea breezes for our sleeping. We will return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed here for a week in July and had a great time. The condo is close to the beach as well as to all amenities in Dana Point. Clean and well-appointed. Would stay here again.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This condo is beautiful. Every detail was perfect from the decor to the location. We truly enjoyed our stay here and hope to make it an annual vacation. My boys were so excited to wear the wetsuits and body surf with the boogie boards, the beach was beautiful, they found lots of sea shells and crabs too. We loved that the condo had everything we needed, even beach chairs! I'll definitely rrcommend this condo to anyone visiting so cal! This property is absolutely stunning, well-appointed and as clean as a whistle. I stayed at the 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo for several weeks due to a plumbing disaster in my own (local) home...I can tell you, there may be "no place like home," but during a very difficult time, there was absolutely no place I'd rather be than this luxurious vacation property! The owner was very generous and responsive to any questions. The linens outstanding, very comfortable beds, wonderful flat screen TV & high-speed wi-fi. A kind word of warning to travelers: all properties are not often "as advertised"---and photographs that CAN appear lovely can be misleading---this property is not---it actually may be even more outstanding than advertised. As a local resident, I can tell you, south Orange County--and this location in particular is the place to stay when coming to Southern Californial...you are conveniently located exactly halfway between Los Angeles & San Diego and all the activities each place bring. You are also very close to wonderful Palm Springs and viva Las Vegas is a quick day trip or over-nighter, too. However Laguna, Newport and Dana Point are very hard to beat, and as a person who demands quallity and cleanliness, this property is impossible to beat! I highly recommend it, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself and be most pleased you decided to stay here....Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife, 3 year old son, and I had a great time staying in this condo in May. The closet full of beach gear came in handy. The condo was in great condition. Everything you can think of is provided, even discount club cards for grocery shopping at Ralphs and Albertson's! Patrick was great to work with. The only negatives were the much longer walk to get to Strand Beach (due to construction) and the fact that the condo pool was under renovation. A membership to a local health club was provided, but it was not the ideal setting for a 3 year old to play in the pool with lap swimmers. These are not big issues, unless you are planning to stay with young ones, then it might be a minor issue. Overall, a great place that we would stay at again and recommend to anyone.Owner response: Andy,when you arrived last May the construction on the path was almost complete as well as the pool. I'm happy to say that the closest path to the beach is complete along with a nice shower area and restrooms. Our pool/jacuzzi refurbishment was completed last June. Next time you visit, you'll see the incredible upgrades that have been made to our community.

Well located for beach and restaurants. Accommodation had everything we needed it was decorated to a very high standard. We enjoyed a weeks stay in Dana Point at this condo over Easter week 2009. It is a lovely, centerally located place to stay in southern California. My husband and 2 children (2 and 5) had a great time. It is very well stocked, impecably decorated and in a delightful location. The owners were accessable and it was an easy process!
