We bought this home as a beach retreat for us and our grandchildren because Sanibel is like nothing else in Florida or we suspect anywhere else in the world, due to its unique environmental atmosphere. 60% is conservation land. And, of course we love the beach, shelling, swimming, biking, etc. Best of all, it's a very short walk from the house. We include both a gas and a charcoal grill, bikes, coolers, beach chairs, beach and pool toys, kid toys, etc.
Our home has just been completely remodeled and redecorated including lots of local and whimsical Florida art. Casual, but sophisticated furnishings and lots of bright beachy colors. Gourmet equipped kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and breakfast bar. All 3 bathrooms are fully updated and have stone countertops, too.
There are many great restaurants nearby, if you prefer, we can recommend many. We also have a library of books,games, CD's and DVD's for your gentle use. Also 3 flat screens and wireless! We have a lovely caged pool where our grankids tend to live 6-10 hours a day.
So come enjoy! We hope you will love our home and Sanibel as much as we do. Works great for families or 3 couples to share.

My husband & I vacationed in this home for 4 weeks in July 2012. We had a wonderful time. Everyday we walked the short distance to the beach. The roads are not busy. We are in our sixties & did not have any difficulty doing this. There were many floats, chairs, & umbrellas to use although we brought our own because from experience we know sometimes not everything is in working order. However, most of these items were usable. The beach was rather private & uncrowded and shelling was great. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was very nice. Seating was more than adequate both inside & out. We had some small issues initially, but the owners addressed them immediately. The location to restaurants & shopping is wonderful. We enjoyed Green Flash, Mucky Duck, Island Cow, Blue Giraffe, Keylime Bistro, Bubble Room, Holy Smoke, & Doc Ford's among others Our daughters & their families joined us for a time. The grandchildren, especially enjoyed the pool which was impeccably clean. The decor of the house is very whimsical and added to the overall feeling of a beach and vacation theme. We would certainly stay again. This property being on one floor was very nice for everyone. Someone with a disability could use the pool as it has both steps and a ladder.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Dec and April.... $1375/wk* Jan .... $1625/wk* Feb and Mar .... $1875/wk* May-Nov ...... $1,000/wk* Cleaning fee is $250.00 and a security deposit is required. * 4 wks minimum rental, from Saturday to Saturday,no rental for less than 28 days!
