My partner and I stayed here in May for our honeymoon. Mike, the wonderful proprietor of Yvetot, welcomed us with a vase of fresh wild flowers, a bottle of wine and a lovely Congratulations note upon our arrival. Yvetot was a magical place... so serene, romantic and beautiful. The architecture and design (done by Mike's very talented son) was truly amazing. I loved how it blended in with the natural surroundings of the beauty of Inverness. The kitchen was great, and fully stocked with strong, delicious coffee from Mike's daughters coffee shop! We especially loved the outdoor shower, and of course, the hot tub that provided gorgeous views of the misty mountains in the day, and the brilliant stars at night. Thank you Mike (and your wonderful partner) for making us feel at home, loved, and well taken care of. We had such a romantic honeymoon; and we can't wait to go back very soon!!!
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed the visit...we enjoyed you two lovely people! And thanks for the nice comments, too. Most people don't think of doing so on VRBO but do write in the guestbook...I too forget about suggesting to people that they go on-line. But I'm sure it is reassuring for people looking at the site to see nice thoughts such as yours. Come back soon. Mike

What a wonderful home! The listing does not do justice to the vistas, the architecture + all the exquisite amenities of this getaway. Mike is a delight + was very helpful. The visit with my husband was much too short + we are already dreaming of returning to Yvetot, as soon as we are able.

My family stayed at the cottage for 3 nights in June and had an absolutely magical vacation. The cottage is located in a pristine and breathtaking setting in the Inverness hill with a view (from the fabulous wood deck) of the forest. A short walk takes you to an extensive trail system, great for hiking, running, and mountain biking. (It's just 1.5 miles to a panoramic vista of the Pacific Ocean, for example). The cottage itself is beautifully designed -- even lovelier than the pictures -- with a fantastic kitchen for home chefs, warm living and dining room with woodburning stove, fabulous outdoor kitchen, extensive DVD collection, and very comfortable sleeping accommodations. The hosts have thought of everything -- down to binoculars and a daypack in the entry hall, a hammock overlooking the woods, and robes in the master bedroom! We cannot recommend Yvetot's enough, and will definitely return!
Owner response:Wow, I knew you guys had a good time but this is over the top. It was fun to have your family here, and look foreword to your return in August with your buddies. Thanks for the glowing comments! Mike

Mike and Bindy Thank you so much for everything. Your hospitality was wonderful and your cottage was nothing short of amazing. Your son is truly a master at his craft. The only bad part was our stay wasn't long enough. But we are now plotting our next stay. My daughter keeps saying "can we go back to our Point Reyes House" Thanks again for everything. Brina, Audrey and Ariel
Owner response:Thanks for the nice thoughts. I overlooked checking comments, hence the late acknowledgement. Come back soon. Mike

Highly recommended -- we had a great time with a group of friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the house, the big kitchen, the grill and just lounging around in the trees. Mike and Bindy are very nice, too. We plan to return.

I don't want to submit a favorable comment as I know that it simply adds to the competition for future dates at YVETOT. But how can I not? My husband and I spent a perfect week getting reacquainted on the eve of our 29th wedding anniversary. There was absolutely nothing with which I could find fault. Mike and Bindy are naturals in the hospitality department. We are already trying to clear our calendars for another visit. Jan Wiesenfeld
Owner response:Jan and Buzz, So pleased you two enjoyed yourselves and we await your return! I had a great time biking the Marshall Wall loop with Buzz and feel sure he'll kick butt next time. Mike and Bindy.

We Spent a glorious week at Yvetot Guest House and we could not have done better if we had travelled 1,000 miles. It was a magical week of walking on the beach, playing in the ocean, painting, board games and laughter. I really feel as if our family has been knitted back together through the grace of this beautiful house and blessed land. Bindy and Mike could not have been more gracious. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!!!

We arrived in late afternoon in golden sunlight and were immediately at peace at Yvetot, so close, and yet a world away from our SF world. Our 3 year old squealed with delight upon finding drawers of toys for playing with. It is a beautiful and artful cottage, full of thoughtful touches throughout, and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you Mike and Bindy for sharing Yvetot.

What a truly blessed place of peace and beauty. Mike and Bindy have thought of everything in this little home away from home including a fabulous outdoor shower, a kitchen with all the latest gadgets, a great Bose CD player, a wood stove to keep cozy and all with the most awesome view. The beds are heavenly and the best sleep ever. This is our second time and we will be back! In fact, our dog Jake said this is the best place in all of the Point Reyes area.
Owner response:Thanks for the favorable comments! We enjoyed meeting you all and hope to see you again! Mike and Bindy

Me again - wanted to add my name as didn't like the "Anonymous" above. The girls also wanted to share their thoughts. Elsa says the games are really fun - especially "Sorry!" Isabelle says she loves the beautiful site, the hammock and all the games to play. Both girls loved the window seats. Thanks again for sharing Yvetot!
Owner response:Hey, thanks again! We loved the notes the girls left. Mike and Bindy

My daughters and I have just returned from a lovely three days at Yvetot. The place is so nice, I hesitate to write a review as I know it's only a matter of time before it books up! The house is beautiful, well- appointed, and very kid (and dog!) friendly. The ridgetop site (lots of sunlight) and forested grounds are so peaceful, you have to tear yourself away to go to the beach. Great hikes right out the front door, ospreys out the window, delicious coffee and homemade granola in the kitchen. Friendly, thoughtul owners. Perfect.
Owner response:So glad you and the girls enjoyed the stay. Come back again! Mike and Bindy
