Marvelous multi generational family vacation

Our family of 10 just returned from a wonderful vacation at this gorgeous home. The children were 6, 7, 9 and 11. The home is very well divided so that each group - adults and children - could have plenty of space and privacy. The home has three floors. The first floor has the entry from the garage with a large mudroom with cubbyholes for shoes. That level also has a bar and entertaining area with TV and foosball game and popcorn machine, chairs and couches. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds and ensuite baths as well. The next level is the main area with a huge kitchen/family room/bigscreen TV/dining area. The kitchen is very well equipped. We fixed many of our own meals and had plenty of high quality pots, pans, skillets, pasta pots, etc. Also utensils for baking including measuring cups and spoons. The kitchen table easily accommodates eight. The children ate at the very spacious bar that has six barstools. Also on that level is the spectacular master suite with a king bed. Next to the master is a wonderful, cozy room with two beautiful leather couches. Great area for quiet talks. A staircase between the master and this "den" leads to another queen bedroom and bath. Off the greatroom/kitchen area is a staircase leading to the third level. It consists of a large room with one king bed and two twins and a TV, There are two baths and walk-in closets there as well. A double sided fireplace divides that room from a private office. Off the office is a deck with a marvelous view of the mountains. The four children slept in that room and had a ball being together. Outdoors off the kitchen is a wonderful table and chairs, a brand new gas grill, a deck area with two chairs and small table for more intimate talks. The kids had a ball roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in the fire pit area. We saw several deer in the back on the hillside. The house is beautifully decorated and maintained. All the fireplaces, kitchen and bath counters, etc., are heavy, solid granite in various shades of browns and greens. I believe that this home lends itself to almost any group but is best if the children are at least five. We did daytrips to Breckenridge and Vail. Our weather was gorgeous with bright blue skies and puffy white clouds. Getting used to the high altitude wasn't easy, so try to relax and not plan too much for the first couple of days and drink water!! All in all, we had a spectacular vacation at an equally spectacular home.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
