Former owners of an Airstream trailer will love to relive the experience. This Vintage Airstream, built in 1960, is very petite and cozy, yet comfortable and fully equipped. It is anchored to the high desert of Abiquiu, and protected against the intense New Mexico sun by an authentic ramada.
Amelia the Airstream is camping out in pleasant comfort. From the also small patio the views are wide and far. Hiking can start from Amelia. More splendor is just a short drive away, with Sierra Negra to climb, and Plaza Blanca to lose yourself in a maze of white sandstone canyons. The Chama River invites you if you want to kayak downstream, Abiquiu Lake is a dream, and is there any more colorful landscape than that of nearby Ghost Ranch?
Amelia the Airstream offers a beautiful and cozy retreat. 360 degree panoramic views of the Chama River, Pedernal (the loved mountain, painted many times by Georgia O'Keeffe). Nestled in the rolling Mesas. A unique getaway experience. Fully appointed kitchen and linens. Outdoor living space on the covered flagstone portal. You can hike out the front door or lounge on the portal, and grill a fabulous meal on the hand crafted stone barbeque.
