Large log home sits on top of a ridge with morning sunrise views coming over the Nantahala Gorge from your deck, and sunsets that catch the last setting rays over 50 miles away viewed from your covered porch! This three story home is constructed of round logs (both inside and out), and does not have one piece of drywall. Everywhere you look are never ending views of the Snowbird and Valley mountains, or some of the most beautiful wood you can imagine.
The top floor has two bedrooms with double and twin beds, a full bath with separate shower and jet spa bath, and a loft with a pullout bed. The main floor has the Master bedroom with queen bed, walk-in closet and full bath; fully equipped kitchen with island; dining table that seats 10; half bath and great room with reclining sofas, gas fireplace, lofted ceiling and satellite TV. The basement has a finished walkout playroom with two pull-out sofas, bunkbed, TV, half bath and wood burning fireplace. A garage is also located on the first floor.
Outside is a rock patio with a large hammock under the oak trees and a man-made waterfall that will lull you to sleep.
We are close to some of the best fly fishing east of the Mississippi; excellent white water rafting and kayaking on the Nantahala; hiking and mountain biking trails; the Cherohala Skyway; John C. Campbell Folk School, and much more. This is probably also one of the quietest spots that you will ever experience.
