My wife and I came to snowshoe for our anniversary. She was very surprised how cozy the condo was. She felt right at home. The condo was walking distance to the village and around the corner from the slopes. The condo was very nicely decorated and the view from the balcony was breathtaking.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway.

This is a great unit. So well thought out. Felt so homey and had everything we needed. Great location for the price. Plenty of space for four. FYI-paper products are there so you don't need to bring coffee filters or paper towels...

Condo was nice and clean and very much updated with appliances. Definitely close to ski lifts as listed. My mom said the fold out couch was uncomfortable so she didn't feel inclined to pull it out of couch. The main bedroom was super hot even though we had the thermostat all the way down on it's lowest notch. We couldn't figure that one out and would wake up so hot in the middle of the night. Also, I would hope the owners would invest in a simple hairdryer for condo, most all properties have this. We finally figured out to go downstairs and put a $5.00 deposit for one, but I wish the owners would list this w/ a simple sign in the bathroom. If you happen to need a pack n play you can rent one at the main lobby for $5.00 a day. Lastly, some dishwashing liquid soap would be nice if they supplied so we could clean the cookware. These are things you don't think about when you go to the grocery store, and then its too late you don't want to get back out. They had a place it could have had some in but it was all empty. Maid service comes everyday with clean towels and takes your trash so this is nice..

The unit itself is very good, tasteful, and warm. The kitchen and bathroom are very good and clean. Everything works well. The only negative thing was that heavy cooking (possibly fried cooking) from other units made the inside of the Mountain Lodge (common areas) smell like a cheap apartment building. That smell even came into the unit when we opened the door. Not sure what can be done about this but I thought I'd mention. Otherwise very good stay overall.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

Condo was warm and inviting. We spent a few days relaxing, very quiet and the autumn views were great. I had no idea West Virginia was so beautiful. We have spent a lot of time in upper state New York and Snowshoe was on par with the scenery in that part of the country - and a whole lot closer! Owner was extremely accomodating and we had a wonderful visit. Would stay in this property again and would love to go during the winter and do some skiing. Took my brother who has some issues with mobility and we had no problems and the propery includes elevators for going from floor to floor. I especially enjoyed the pool facilities across the parking lot from the property. We will visit again!

My husband and I stayed during "off season" to attend a wedding (my brother). The owners were very easy to work with - the condo was very cozy, nicely decorated, clean, and very well-maintained. The view from the balcony was beautiful (exactly as shown in the picture). The chapel was right across the street and the village was within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time, and would definately recommend it!
