Our Estate Vineyards is located in Tuscany between the two renowned renaissance cities of Florence and Siena, La valle a Polvereto resides in the heart of the Chianti wine region on a closed property (22 hectares) with private road, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, is an heaven especially for those that are looking for a quiet and safe place . The farm produces good red wine (Chianti DOCG) and excellent Extra virgin olive oil.
Originally part of the “Alle Valli” wine estate ( since 1320) owned by renaissance Monna Lapa of the Gianfigliazzi Family, La valle a Polvereto has been charmingly restored to its former glory by its owner who has retained the colonial essence of the past while creatively adding colorful accents and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.Relax and experience the pleasures and breathtaking vistas of romantic 'Chiantishire,' and top it off with a refreshing swim in our superb landscaped swimming pool.
The neighboring towns of Tavarnelle Val Di Pesa ( 5 Km) , Certaldo ( 9 km) and Montespertoli ( 14 Km) have recently become culinary landmarks on the map of 'where to go' in Tuscany by food and wine appassionatos worldwide.
Here along the famous wine road Strada del Chianti, you may spend time visiting wineries, dining on Tuscan cuisine, horseback riding, hiking, biking, or playing golf at world class golf courses.
This is a farmhouse that dates back to 1200 surrounded by olive groves and vineyards in the Chianti Hills. A very peaceful place for relaxing and yet very near to art centres such as Florence 20Kms and Siena 55Kms .

We have been there for only four nights. It is an Italian villa, our house was in the first floor, all rooms very well decorated, charming, with a cozy atmosphere, even inside we felt we were in Tuscany. Brunella is very friendly and not "invasive" - only a person very polite and elegant is able to be like that. She was very attentive with my mother (81 years old) and all our needs. We go to Italy every year and my daughters said it was the best place we´d ever stay. Some reviews say it is difficult to find, but we did not have any problem with it, we called the hotel when we were in Florence and she gave us directions to follow, all the way is very well signed. I´d like to thanks Brunella for the bed cover she gave us, for helping us to Know Franco (a special driver that bring my mother to the north and take her back - a real gentleman) and for being there every time we needed. About the owner: I am Brunella,the owner with flower passion, garden and cooking.
Why the Owner Chose Montespertoli:
We arrived at la Valle in 1987, we fell in love with the countryside and bought the first part of the hamlet with all the surrounding land, we were young and full of enthusiasm and it is here that our two daughters Daniela and Jessica were born. Over the years we have managed to re-unite all the hamlet and after 16 years of re-building have decided to open for hospitality, we have tried to do our best to make you feel at home, but there is still plenty to do, there are vineyards which we have started to replace, the old ones are obsolete, we need to build a wine cellar to house the wine we produce and lastly we need to re-build the chicken houses so that finally we will be able to sample our own produce.
While our daughters were growing we created around us a natural garden with whole collections of roses, clematis, lavender and sage.
Willingly we became pupils of the famous landscaper Penelope Hobhouse, or at least we are trying, to rise early with the sound of the swallows, admire the flight of the hot air balloons which pass over the valley, smell the perfume of the newly flowered roses, and in our free time snooze around the pool side with a good book or a do it yourself catalogue, because what you see is mostly due to our own efforts.
Our origins are not from old Tuscan or noble families, and we had no roots before we arrived at La Valle and we did not receive a warm welcome from the local Tuscans.
We are a couple who met at a fair, struck by cupid we looked for our nest, our chicks were born and have now started to fly from the nest with their own wings, we are happy to welcome families with chicks from all over the world .
