La Valle is a beautiful old farm estate extending 28 hectares, covered with vineyards, olive groves, orchards, grassy areas and woodland. The garden is an ideal place in which to relax and for the more energetic there is a footpath leading through the estate for you to explore. La Valle is set in the hills in a most picturesque area between Montespertoli(14 km), Tavarnelle Val di Pesa(5 km)Certaldo (9km) San Gimignano (18Km) Florence(25Km) Siena (38km).
The farmhouse has been carefully restored to maintain many of its original features. The owners have created a lovely English garden with a variety of roses, clematises, herbs and shrubs. There is a good swimming pool in the garden (7m x 14m) from where you can enjoy superb views across the valley an our vineyards
Montespertoli, which is famous for its wine festivals, and Tavarnelle are nearby and offer good shopping facilities and a variety of restaurants.
The farmhouse has been carefully divided into eight properties all of which are comfortably furnished to a high standard with a selection of antique rustic furniture and good modern kitchens. There are terracotta floors throughout and most rooms have beamed ceilings. One of the property is occupied by the owners and the other seven are available for letting. Each property has its own entrance and space for eating out of doors. The estate is reached by a small country lane.La Valle a Polvereto is the place for real connoisseurs of the countryside and the famous wines of the region.

Why the Owner Chose Montespertoli
We arrived at la Valle in 1987, we fell in love with the countryside and bought the first part of the hamlet with all the surrounding land, we were young and full of enthusiasm and it is here that our two daughters Daniela and Jessica were born. Over the years we have managed to re-unite all the hamlet and after 16 years of re-building have decided to open for hospitality, we have tried to do our best to make you feel at home, but there is still plenty to do, there are vineyards which we have started to replace, the old ones are obsolete, we need to build a wine cellar to house the wine we produce and lastly we need to re-build the chicken houses so that finally we will be able to sample our own produce.
While our daughters were growing we created around us a natural garden with whole collections of roses, clematis, lavender and sage.
Willingly we became pupils of the famous landscaper Penelope Hobhouse, or at least we are trying, to rise early with the sound of the swallows, admire the flight of the hot air balloons which pass over the valley, smell the perfume of the newly flowered roses, and in our free time snooze around the pool side with a good book or a do it yourself catalogue, because what you see is mostly due to our own efforts.
Our origins are not from old Tuscan or noble families, and we had no roots before we arrived at La Valle and we did not receive a warm welcome from the local Tuscans.
We are a couple who met at a fair, struck by cupid we looked for our nest, our chicks were born and have now started to fly from the nest with their own wings, we are happy to welcome families with chicks from all over the world .

A very peaceful place for relaxing and yet very near to art centres such as Florence 20Kms and Siena 55Kms .
The farmhouse ( very farmhouse),has been very well restored by its present owners, keeping the original Tuscan design. It has been divided into 7 spacious properties.
