This privately-owned villa can be rented directly from its English owners with no agents fees or commissions. It is maintained in lovely condition by the owners and a local professional management company.
The lots/plots on either side of this peaceful villa are both undeveloped and a haven for wildlife. One is owned by the owners of this villa.

Built on a larger than average lot, extensively equipped, tastefully decorated, and including many luxury features, our fully air conditioned villa offers comfort, privacy, and flexibility for our visitors. At the rear of the villa is the electrically-heated pool, jacuzzi/spa, and extensive lawned area leading down to the Rotonda River which extends for 20 miles and where we have caught largemouth bass, catfish, sunfish, grass carp...
The villa comprises a spacious and airy "Great Room" (large lounge) with a cathedral ceiling, a "den/family room" which converts into a fourth double bedroom if required, three bedrooms (one king, one queen, and one twin), two full bathrooms (master with a jacuzzi bath, his and hers vanities and huge walk-in shower, the second with a bath and shower), fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and separate spacious open plan dining area.
The entire rear of the villa is glazed, fitted with four sets of patio doors leading out to the pool deck. As a result the pool area is directly accessible from the master bedroom, second bedroom, dining area and family room.
There is cable TV, a VCR and Hi-Fi, with a TV in 2 of the bedrooms, the den and the great room. Wireless Internet access is also planned for visitors convenience.
The pool faces South-East so enjoys the sun from sunrise until late afternoon - usually between 5 and 6pm. The pool deck is larger than normal at 50' by 20' (approximately) to provide plenty of space for lazing in the sun or shade on the sun beds provided. The "lanai" (covered part of the pool deck) is enclosed on three sides for added privacy and is equipped with a gas BBQ, ceiling fan, outdoor lights and a large table and chairs for outdoor dining. The pool is heated by electricity (rather than relying on solar heating) to ensure warm swimming every single day of the year. In addition there is a "spa" (whirlpool/jacuzzi) with space for eight.
The double garage with remote control opener ensures a cool place to leave your car when at home and also includes a full-sized washer and dryer. We try to keep beach chairs, buckets and spades etc here too but can't guarantee what might be available when you visit.
The unspoilt beaches of the Gulf Coast are a 12 minute drive from the villa. In addition to the golf courses at Rotonda (the nearest is two minutes away) there are over 20 courses within 30 minutes and at least one nearby is lit for night use. Locally, you can enjoy a wide choice at local restaurants, superb shopping, and plenty to see and do to ensure your vacation is a success. For those who can't sit still and need to travel Busch Gardens is 90 minutes, Disney is two and a half hours, Miami is 3 hours and the Everglades around 2 hours away. Venice with its antique shops is around 20 minutes, bustling Sarasota and a terrific outlet mall around 50 minutes and the mall and multiscreen cinema at Port Charlotte around 25 minutes.

Why the Owner Chose Rotonda West
We visited Sarasota a few years ago and fell in love with the area. We both enjoy being on or near water and enjoy wildlife and the outdoors generally. Rotonda has everything we could wish for. There's a canal at the end of the garden which is full of fish and attracts a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Derek is a keen fisherman so the combination of the canal, the nearby beaches 10 minutes drive, and Placida pier just 15 minutes makes it a perfect location for us.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Rotonda is so peaceful and quiet that we can't help but relax when there. Being just a 90 minute drive from Tampa, we can leave the UK in the morning, drive via the supermarket for pizza, chilled beer and wine, and other essentials and be in our villa, unpacked and 'on holiday' the same evening. The whole region - away from the big towns like Sarasota and Naples - is very laid back, a bit like stepping back in time.
