Our unit is a very nice, beautifully furnished condo in a gated community. Views are of the ocean, mountains and golf courses. Very safe, very secure community. Unit has a large lanai for outside dining. This part of the Kona/Kohala Coast rarely receives rain, only 9" a year.
Weather is good all year round... You HAVE to drive 45 miles to receive rain most everyday !! It's a unique location !!! There are eleven of the world's 13 climate zones on "The Big Island" of Hawaii with volcanoes, rainforests, snowcapped mountains, deserts, and beaches for you to discover.
The unit is large 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a sleeper sofa(1500 SqFt). It is located on the second floor with views of the Hualalai Mountains and the ocean in the distance. 15+ restaurants are within walking distance as well as fine shopping at the King's & Queen's Shops. The beach is a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute car drive.
GOLF! GOLF! GOLF! Two 18 hole golf courses, the Waikoloa Beach Course and the Waikoloa Kings Course are a 5 minute walk away... discounts are available. Many more are within a 20 minute drive, including the Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani and Hapuna Prince courses!!
Tha amenities of the Marriott & Hilton Waikoloa are within a 10 minute walk.

We stayed at this unit for about 2 weeks in the latter part of June 2011. The outline of the unit by the owner is accurate and the owner was easy to reach and communicate with. This unit has a good view of the golf course and a partial view of the ocean. It is view roomy and was maintained well. The only issue we had was the presence of small ants. Upon contacting the the owner's agent, they set out traps and checked back with us the next several days. The owner was informed of this situation and based on the rapid responses to my questions during the rental process I trust that problem is resolved. The owner appears to be a very upfront and honest person. I would rent from this person again or refer this place to a friend
