A Mountaintop Retreat
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Raystown Lake
My husband and I live a hectic lifestyle, but have always enjoyed a quiet retreat by the water as a sanctuary from the business of everyday life. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase this beautiful property in 2006 and have been stealing time away whenever possible since! We are thrilled to be able to offer this retreat to family, friends, church members and guests so that they can enjoy the privacy and tranquility of our property while a short walk/drive away from all the excitement of Raystown Lake!

We all had a GREAT time. The retreat was BEAUTIFUL. A home away from home but only better no cell phones, no interenet & no kids. What more could u ask for. Maybe snow. We would love to come back & maybe stay longer. The time went by so fast. The kitchen had everything we needed & there was always enough hot water for showers & there was 10 of us. I would recommend the retreat to anyone. Very clean & no signs of any critters. Thats a BIG plus. I recieved my security deposit with in a week after we got home. Another BIG plus. This was our first time there and it was a GREAT first impression. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent the Retreat, The Groves, Dunlaps, Taylors & the Heffners.

I wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin on Trout Lane. It was spacious and clean and we were all very impressed. Some of us really missed our cell phone and 3G connections, but the atmosphere was worth the sacrifice! We will definitely be back around the same time next year. Thank you very much!

Hi Liz, My family and I just returned from Raystown and our 3 day weekend at the house. It was so nice and cozy. There were 4 adults and 1 13 year old and we had more than enough room to spread out and have fun. The area is incredible and we enjoyed the 90 minute boat tour of the lake on Sat. The bedrooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. We made apple dumplings on Sat. evening and found everything that we needed! Our 85 year old mother came along and she didn't want to leave! She had a wonderful time there and was very comfortable. Thank you once again and we will be back! The Starrs and Witmans
Owner response:Thank you so much for your great review! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay~ We always do when we go.

Liz, Thank you so much for a great time. The groom and best-man had time to catch up before the wedding. It was a peaceful way to start our wedding whirlwind weekend. Great accommodations, we felt right at home.

Hello Liz, Thank you for renting the mountain house to us this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We really enjoyed the house, and had two great days of hiking in the park. I hope you find everything else with the way we left the house to your satisfaction. Regards, Rob

Hi Liz, I just wanted to extend my thanks to you for the wonderful accommodations at the rental this weekend. Our group had an amazing time relaxing and enjoying each other's company. I believe we left everything as instructed, but please let me know if you find anything that seems out of place. Thank you again for providing us with this wonderful house, I would love to rent again in the future! Best, Noelle Received On Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 11:10 AM
