Pricing - Our pricing structure is based upon the assumption of full occupancy, and minimum stay intervals. WE MAKE DEALS. We always will offer some discounting for smaller groups, and longer stays. That said, if there are just two of you, you can probably save money by choosing a location that is smaller than our 3 bedroom condo. Our place is really perfect for 6 guests, especially if there are two couples, or two pairs of people that don't mind sharing a bed. Remember: Queen bed, double bed, two twin beds in the bedrooms, and a couch that converts to a queen bed. If you have more than 8 guests in your party, please plan on booking additional space. An overcrowded accommodation is not good.

We have a door code lock, so key mailing, and key return is unnecessary!! You can book today, and arrive today!! We can return your security deposit as soon as housekeeping has given us the OK... Also, this means we can rent on short notice, so if the days are open on the calendar, give us a call!

Note: SportMart here in WV is offering any-day lift tickets for $68.90 (includes the 6% tax) this season. The price for a weekend, 1 day ticket on the mountain is $79, tax included ($74 for days 2+ on a multi-day ticket). If you book with us, and give us payment for tickets and insured mail 3 weeks before your arrival, we can pick up tickets for you and mail them (with less lead time you would need to pay for expedited mail. That's almost a 13% discount! Not bad... We don't charge anything for going to pick them up. That's a value-add benefit of booking with us.
Booking has begun for the 2011-12 Ski Season! Holiday dates go first and fast, so consider reserving soon. Weekday rates will offer a great savings again this year, so consider a stay when rates are low, and the lift lines won't slow you down. You can really get some runs in during the week, so if you're a serious skier, and want a great value, the weekday booking is for you! If you want to try something different, we have a place that will accommodate 4 people at the Canaan Valley / Timberline area, about 90 miles north of Snowshoe. Just ask, if you are looking for something for fewer people in the northern part of the state.
Snowshoe Mountain Resort is the best skiing south of northern New England, and is visited regularly by vacationers from Pennsylvania to Florida, and west to Indiana, Michigan and beyond. High in Pocahontas County (the highest county east of the Mississippi) the headwaters for 8 rivers can be found. Very lush green and naturally cool in the summer, snow-white and exhilerating in the winter, this vacationland is everything you'd expect when you think "Wild and Wonderful." The Summit Condominium complex received a major facelift in 2005-2006, including new windows, siding and decks on all units. The Summit provides views to the west that are ever-changing and always spectacular. Deer and the occasional bear wander around the grounds, providing excitement and closeness to nature, plus many photo ops.
Summit is located in the central village, so the shops, restaurants, and slopes are a five-minute walk away! Or catch the shuttle that regularly passes by the front door. Easy to get home for lunch, warm-up, snack, or nap!
Our place is on the top floor, south-facing end of the building. This gives additional natural light, and provides a quietness and privacy enhancement. This location is perfect for the spectacular views over the valley below and across the mountains as far as the eye can see. You will see hawks at eye level from this vantage point.
The sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with queen bed, another with a double bed, and the third with two twin beds. A pullout sofa provides a queen-sized sleeping arrangement in the living room.
Linens and basic supplies (dish cleaner, toilet paper and trash bags) are provided.
We reserve the right to add a cleaning fee to non-ski season rentals of fewer than four nights.
We offer reduced deposit and a 5% discount to returning customers - 10% if you leave a guest comment online.

Both Jim and Freda work in information technology fields. As travelers we have taken trips to France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Nicaragua, Great Britain, Ireland New Zealand, Chile, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, and all over the amazing USA!
Why the Owner Chose Snowshoe
We love the location of the Summit, and the exceptional views that are provided, while being in the central village, a healthy 5 minute walk from everything.. We especially like our location in the Summit, which is one of only 4 units in the 96 unit complex with a top floor, southern exposure, for lots of sunlight, and airiness, and the very best viewpoint. We also have a neighbor on only one side, so there is less of a feeling of being in an "apartment" setting.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The views, all the extra windows and light, as well as the breezes in the summer. The sauna is a unique benefit. The new granite counters and removal of the partition wall between the dining room and kitchen brighten the food zone, and enhance convenience and aesthetics. We like the tile floors in the bathrooms, kitchen, and deck/sauna entry that we installed, and the oak entry at the "front" of the place. We like the original paneling that is nicely preserved in our place, and we like the convenience of a washer and dryer right there, so we can dry out wet stuff if needed, and start the next day dry. :)

There are certainly more swanky places at Snowshoe, but this unit was perfect for our family. I brought my wife and kids (0 and 2), grandmother, and two adult friends met us there. We had room to spare and enjoyed several big meals in the unit. Love the black-out curtain in the bedrooms, let us sleep in until the kids woke up... and the walk to the main village was not a big deal (5 minutes). We discovered the shuttle system after a few days! Hope to go back next year!

Will is right, it is a vintage place (30 years old, or so), with the original panel walls, and a lived-in feel, but we've upgraded many aspects in our 11 years of ownership, and it has become a better place with each year. I have rented lots of places at Snowshoe. This one tops them all. My family could easily catch the shuttle service to anywhere. My children wanted to ski longer and later than me at Silver Creek. No problem I caught the shuttle back to the condo and they caught a later shuttle. GREAT location because we could easily walk to the Snowshoe slopes and village. It was a quiet location because of the third floor and end unit location.The owners were very easy to work with. The refund of the security deposit was very quick. We hope to rent again.

My friends and I have used the condo for 3 years now and plan to use it for many more. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather with snow two nights and clear blue skies during the day which made for great views from the condo's dinning area. Owners are very easy to work with and the condo is always clean and as described.

Great place to stay! Condo was comfortable and cozy with plenty of space. Everything was well maintained and all the necessities were provided. Location was very convenient, all we had to do was walk up the stairs and cross the road and we'd be at center village. We also saw beautiful deer in the backyard. Our group enjoyed the stay there and would definitely come back!

Great place to stay. We enjoyed it very much. Conveniently located to village. We were greeted by LOTS of deer everyday, they were the neighborhood pets :) Saw 4 bucks in the mix of deers as well. Never had seen so many deer at once. Beautiful views. Very comfy condo with great communication by the owners. Will definitely stay again. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Summit 301C over Martin Luther King weekend in Jan 2010, this is a cosy, clean and well kept apartment, kitchen was well equipped for preparing and cooking meals, rooms were comfy, all appliances worked, great fireplace and views too! We saw lots of deer.

Jim(the owner) may be one of the most reliable hosts in the resort. He knows how to converse with people. I met many guesthouse owners in Nepal and Pakistan who opened their business because they like meeting people and showing hospitality and I felt something similar from Jim. He will make sure he does everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. Don't hesitate to make a deal with this guy. He will not only make a good deal with you but often do a favor for you.

We stayed at this location February 18-22,2009 and absolutely loved it. Mr. Winter treated us well with record snow fall the weekend we were visiting. It is very convenient to the village and we enjoyed seeing the deer out back every day. We would definately stay here again.

Went to condo for fall foliage and were not disappointed. Saw colors change everyday and also saw the deer everyday. The views were amazing. You could even see the valley from the dining area. Fantastic location. Stairs lead right up to the village. We got a special surprise right away when we saw a gray wolf skulking in the woods below early in the morning! The baby deer shot up below our balcony while the mother sped away to get the wolf to chase her. The baby deer just stood below in shock crying. We thought we were going to see a National Geographic moment and didn't want to look. After ten minutes the baby ran away and no more wolf. We also saw two foxes come up at night. If you want views, a comfortable stay, some animal encounters and easy access to the village...this is the place!
