Charming two-bedroom home two blocks to Glen Ellen Village! Walk to several excellent restaurants: (Fig Cafe,Glen Ellen Inn Restaurant,Saffron), a wine tasting room and upscale Glen Ellen Market. Within a few miles of several wineries, Jack London State Park, and Sonoma State Park. Drive 15 minutes to the town of Sonoma with its historic square, 5 minutes to Oak Hill (organic) Farm and 30 minutes to Santa Rosa, offering an abundance of shopping, some museums and Luther Burbank Theatre.
Located on a 1/2 acre, very private with a rose garden.The rear patio off the family room has a picnic table and umbrella-close to the kitchen. The cabana has a gas grill and a picnic table that seats 12 and a separate comfortable seating area. On hot summer days, this provides the perfect shade and area to nap. There are other comfortable areas to lounge in and in the summer feel free to pick vegatables from the raised bed garden.
The spacious, remodeled family room has a sofa bed and dining area- room for ten. Play board games or assemble puzzles as provided. In addition there is a living room with a fireplace, sofa, loveseat and comfy chair for a quiet area away from the activites of the family room (TV,DVD's).The remodeled kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen ware, wine glsses, pottery barn dishes, bakeware, cloth napkins-everything for a full Thanksgiving dinner! Feel free to use condiments in the pantry and refigerator. All linens are provided including beach towels, bath towels and table cloths. The cottage style bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap for your use. Feel free to use the soft sided (small) cooler and plastic dishes for any outdoor picnics. Mortons Warm Springs (check website) is 15 mins away and provides swimming in a bulcolic, country setting.
(There is a separate caretaker cottage on the property-most likely you would never see the occupant.)She is a licensed message therapist and offers private in-home messages with advance notice.

Why the Owner Chose Glen Ellen
We were introduced to Mortons Warm Springs by a friend and would go there in the summer to get out of the freezing SF summers. The ride was beautiful and only a little over an hour away. Having gone to Napa Valley and Calistoga for the same reason for 25 years, we liked the covenience and slower pace of Sonoma. It's what Napa was 25 years ago. Of course the restaurants and wineries are an attraction. Sonoma has the sophitication of SF without the congestion and hassel.

We live in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco. It's ironic that we have a house in Glen Park and Glen Ellen. Both are very charming and friendly. My husband Don and I are both in residential real estate. Our 15 year old daughter, Kristina, is very creative both physcially with ballroom dancing, and with art,clothing design and knitting. We have 3 dogs (yeah a little crazy)but have a beautiful park a few blocks away called Glen Park Canyon.
