HI! PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Check availability and make reservations at our Chez Palmiers B&B website link listed below, halfway down the page, under "Links To More Information" (the VRBO calendar is not up-to-date)!
Located at 1744 N. Rampart Street, in New Orleans' historic Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, just two blocks from the French Quarter and four blocks from Frenchman Street (popular with the neighborhood's locals), at Chez Palmiers you will be within easy walking distance of many of the sites, restaurants, bars and clubs, and the characters and music that have made New Orleans famous. More photos and availability on our website.
Owner operators Schuyler Hoffman and David Peterson invite you to relax and enjoy your stay in New Orleans in their traditional Creole Cottage. Originally built in the late 1800's, it was renovated in the mid 1990's. What we have tried to create is a home, not just bedrooms for guests—it is, after all, our home. Furnishings are a mix of some of our favorite antiques and newer things—interesting pieces we find at yard sales, hidden antique shops, and such. Each room contains personal photographs and artwork, and memorabilia and tchotchkes we've accumulated and carried around with us over the years. Everyone looking for a bed and breakfast looks for a place that fits their personality, a place they'll be comfortable in for more than just sleeping each night. We hope many of you will find that place with us.

A great time in NOLA!

This was the 3rd annual trip for a group of 6 women. After lunch at the Palace Cafe on Canal Street on our first day, we each purchased a 3-day Jazzy Pass for $12 at Wal-green's and used it on all 3 streetcar lines and the bus over the course of 3 days. What a great way to see NOLA! We loved the location and comfort of Schuyler & David's B&B, as well as their restaurant recommendations. Being April, the water was too nippy to get in the pool, but we ended each day visiting on the back deck.

Perfect for three couples or family gathering.

This trip was with our adult children and Chez Palmiers was perfect for us. Hosts, Schuyler and David have a restored cajun cottage appointed with an eclectic mix of memorabilia that allows you to get to know them from their travels and interests. They are gracious and warm and you at once feel like you are visiting friends in their home. Breakfast was offered in the dining room with a lovely assortment of fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, cheese, breads, coffee, and daily paper. Both breakfast and cocktails were enjoyed sitting on the deck by the pool sharing conversation and gaining valuable local information. The three guest rooms were ideal for our family. The house is located between the French Quarter and the Faubourg Marginy, an area often overlooked and not to be missed. To sum it up, our 26 year old son said, "I'm sad to leave. I love this place."

My husband and I stayed at Chez Palmiers while we were entertaining our cousins from Switzerland. We found this little gem on vrbo, and were more than impressed when we arrived. Schuyler and David are fabulous hosts, the house is beautiful, and the rates are so reasonable, what a great deal!!! It's within walking distance to the all the french quarter hotspots. The breakfasts were excellent as well, with a great variety. I can't wait to go back!!!!

We were down for the French Quarter Fest mid April this year and stayed in the Loft Suite. We were so very comfortable. The Loft is very spacious and private. Schuyler and David are very gracious and attentive hosts and have decorated beautifully. We certainly plan to return.

This place is not only great, your hosts David and Schuyler are wonderful. One does not need to be told that this is their home, you can feel that. I recently visited NOLA for Jazz Fest 08. We were comfortable from the start. One of the woman that I was traveling with ended up quite ill. David provided all the information for her to seek medical help. This place is tops. Great coffee and better yet two new friends. Hats off. Thanks

We stayed an entire week at Chez Palmiers. The house is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and you couldn't ask for better hosts than David and Schuyler. They go out of their way to make your stay in New Orleans a very memorable one!! Hope to stay again in the future.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Chez Palmiers and couldn't have been more pleased. It was close to many attractions, but far enough from the Quarter to get peace and quiet when needed. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated and the pool was an added plus. Schuyler & Dave were perfect hosts. We can't wait to go back!
