    We have been going to Barbados now for 10 years, leasing a little chattel house just outside Speightstown, which we always loved, but decided we wanted a change, we liked Golden View Apartments after going to the onsite Chinese restaurant for a meal. We were fortunate to find this ground floor apartment on the internet, which we booked for our seven week holiday period from December to February 2011, we certainly have no regrets, the apartment, gardens and swimming pool we excellent, the other people we met, renters and owners alike were very friendly and we had a great holiday. We have no hesitation in booking this accommodation and venue again for the same period December to February 2012, we can't wait.

    This was our first time in Barbados - we feel we had the best location / area possible for sure! The access to the grocery store @ 3 mins. walk away - and then cross the street for a meal /day at Zaccios' where we became regulars & as the food & service was excellent. We do like making our own breakfast in and snack at night. City buses readily available for very little and goes everywhere. Kate- daughter of owner provides excellent customer service to reply to all your questions during your booking. Tina - their rep - goes above & beyond to make your stay the most comfortable possible and is very accessible. Sonia- the housekeeper - also does a great job! The front desk ladies are wonderful too . the courtesy airport pick-up and return was much appreciated. Air conditionning isn't required - the ceiling fans do the job just fine. Patio is great to sit and read - also with some books / magazines provided + sitting under tha palapia outdoors. Wireless access in the lobby was great - would of loved access right in the apartment - but at least it's there. It's a very safe apartment to be at. But for us personally, we prefer a more quiet environment & less populated area to stay in. It was a bit of a shock coming from St-Lucia where we stayed in a studio with 11 apartments only and overlooking the ocean to a complex of 128 apartments. I always wanted to visit Barbados....and now I have. I'm satisfied. I based my booking on all the reviews...and it was great!

    I also have just returned from a wonderful stay at Goldenview. The apartment was very well equipped with everything I could imagine! I spent a lot of time on the lovely patio in the very comfy chairs. The pool was well maintained and perfect to cool off during the warm afternoons. A real bonus was the free wireless internet offered in the lobby area. The apartment is centrally located and within walking distance to many places such as duty free shopping, grocery store and dining. I didn't even rent a car this time and enjoyed my time on the west coast. I will definately return and highly recommend!! Thanks so much!

    I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this beautiful apartment. I agree with all the comments of the last two reviews. I was worried about being a lone traveller to Barbados. I needn't have. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the apartment was ideal. It had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I loved the pool and the on site Chinese restaurant was a real bonus. The stunning beaches are just a short walk away. I felt safe and secure in lovely Golden View. Stephen, the Rep, couldn't do enough to help and I really appreciated being met at the airport. Thank you so much for letting me share your home in sunny Barbados. I can't wait to return!

    We can only echo the previous review. We have had another wonderful holiday in an idyllic setting. Everything we needed was to hand and the appartment as usual was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and approachable. We particularly enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the complex and the spectacular pool, but also delight in walking the short distance into the gentle hustle and bustle of the village of Holetown.We cannot wait to return next year and thank you Rose for sharing this little secret paradise with us.

    Just returned from another perfect holiday at this wonderful apartment. What more could you ask for, excellent location a short walk from everything that Holetown has to offer. Chinese Restaurant literally right on the doorstep with wonderful dishes at good prices. The pool area is excellent with plenty of loungers for the sun worshipers and those who need the shade. the gardens are really well cared for and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The meet and greet service for those staying the fortnight is really useful and the Rep Tina cant do too much to ensure your holiday goes without a hitch. The apartment is well maintained and Sonia the house keeper does a good job. It is well equipped with everything that you need to produce either snacks or full meals. The air conditioner in the bedroom is a real bonus and the fans throughout help to circulate the cool air. Already booked for next year and cant wait to return for our third visit.

    What a lovely apartment, everything you could want (including frozen beer mugs in the freezer!) all in an excellent setting - tranquil gardens, magnificent pool, fantastic balcony for sipping drinks and reading. Thank you Kate, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to book with you again for next year. We will definitely be back again.

    We had a wonderful time in the apartment and it was nicely located near Holetown and walking distance to many nice restaurants. Great "homebase" for a couple of weeks in Barbados! Tina, the representative on the island, was wonderful and gave us so many great ideas for things to do around the island.

    Dear Rose, Just a quick thank you for the use of your apartment. Excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped; especially liked your patio area – perfect for relaxing, looking over the beautiful gardens and sipping a rum punch! The pool is fantastic, a great size with plenty of sun lounges we also loved going to Payne’s bay and Mullins beach. Everything was within walking distance and the show we went to gave us a free ride there and back. The apartment is fabulously located in the centre of Holetown; the supermarket, bank, post office, designer shops, Sandy Lane and the many renowned restaurants (The Cliff, Daphne’s) are all located within a stones throw away and we spent many a fun night in Cocomo’s – fantastic quality food with reasonable prices. Even though Golden View is so close to all the nearby restaurants and bars, it is very quiet which meant our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Most importantly, the staff are so friendly. Can’t wait to return, we’ll let you know soon. Nicki

    What a lovely apartment, well appointed in an excellent setting. Thankyou Kate, we had a wonderful time and cant wait to book with you again for next year. Good Choice Chinese is still as good and makes for a wonderful first nights meal after a long flight. This was our third visit to Golden view and the location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle but not too far. We will definately be back again

    We have just spent 2 weeks staying in this apartment in the Golden View complex. The apartment was exactly what we expected from the description given. For two people it was spacious with plenty of storage space, but we feel it may be a bit cramped for 4. The kitchen was well equipped and there were two beach chairs and a cool bag for picnics. Being on the ground floor was very pleasant - the gardens are lovely. The swimming pool area is excellent as is the upkeep and maintenance of the whole complex. We would return.

    Had a wonderful time at Golden View. The property was clean, and well positioned for the pool. Also very close to the beaches, shops & resturants of St James. All in all, good holiday.

    Nice property - clean. Not far from the main road and bus stops. Great that beach, local shops/restaurants and main shopping area walking distance. I was abit disappointed that the TV in the living room was faulty - fuzzy images. Even though that was reported at the problem at Golden View it still was not resolved by the time I vacated the property 7 days later

    Owner response: Thank you for your review, fortunately the TV and satalite system has been changed since and TV is in perfect order.
