I was invited to a BBQ the year before at this property and made a promise with friends to rent it ourselves the next summer. We gathered 10 good friends and got in touch with Curtis, from the first phone conversation he was more then helpful with planning our stay. When we got to the house it was more amazing then we remembered it from the BBQ the year before, Curtis was there and gave us all a walk through of the property along with a list of his favorite places for coffee , lunch and local bars all with-in a couple minutes walk. I suggest planning your trip 3-4 months in advance because this place fills up fast! It was really sad when it was time to go but we are already planning our trip for next year but a full week this time! Ps You have to try a sandwich at Rubicon deli which is located right on mission blvd!

Great place to get away from the cold Canadian winter. Curtis is amazing to deal with and went above and beyond. He even went as far as to provide a mattress from his own home for one of our party members to have a comfortable place to sleep. Watching dolphins from the large hot tub in the morning can not be beat. The trip was an overall great experience with fantastic accommodations.

Lovely large home located right on Mission Beach boardwalk! We spent 1 week over Christmas with our family -- enjoyed cooking together on Christmas day. It was fabulous laying out on the 6 chaise lounge chairs sunning, on the upper deck, and grilling on the 2nd floor deck; people watching, surfers, dolphins, ocean waves, as our view. Absolutely delightful ~~ very quiet and private. Great location!

We rented this place over the Memorial Day weekend since we had a few friends coming over from the SFO area. This place is the best house. 3 levels of everything you can ask for. Absolutely gorgeous views, great decor, everything in place and working, jacuzzi on the roof with a view of the great pacific! Curtis the owner is a great guy and was extremely helpful too. We called him to get the jacuzzi cleaned up during our stay and it was done!! Thanks a ton Curtis.. Our friends really had a great time and so did we. You can walk for food drink and even Belmont park is just a 15 minute walk from the house! Bayside with the mission bay aquatic center is also within 5 minute walk from this house. This was a great weekend. We are going to come back to this place again and again. Curtis Thanks a ton for everything. Hope to rent this place from you soon !

We rented this home for a week for two families. Plenty of room for all and very relaxing. Located right in the middle of Mission beach with plenty of activities for all ages. Curtis, the owner was very pleasant. He met us at the property the first day to give us a tour and was always available if we had any issues. Sand, surf, and warm weather....what could be better after a long winter in northern Idaho.

We rented the house for my boyfriend's 40th birthday. It exceeded all expectations. We hope to be able to do this every year. Wonderful views, beautifully furnished and big enough to spend the weekend with lots of friends. The house is kept immaculate, the jucuzzi tub is awesome, and the sound of the surf can be heard from all rooms. The house is all teak with copper flurushes, an incredibly upscale place for the price. Great value!

I am the director of a modeling troupe in Los Angeles, and must say we throughly enjoyed our getaway time from the city, mostly because the Tuscan Villa is the home away from home that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing retreat. The comfortable sofa's in the living area and the entertainment system in front of the large window that looks out to the ocean was great. There was 10 of us there and you can imagine how sensitive we can get in close quarters. This place had space beyond our dreams and Curtis the owner was right on point. He has a great attitude and gave us great information on all the eating places in the area. We are looking forward to booking again next year. I highly recommend this place to you if you are looking for a place in the San Diego Mission Beach area. We are avid jazz listeners, and it was amazing how many people walking the board walk slowed down to listen to the music and look at how wonderful the place was. Lots of friendly people in the area. I always say be friendly make a friend. Thanks Curtis for sending my contacts and other items. You are definately one of the friendliest owners we have met. Same time, same place 2012 ;-)
Owner response:Ej my pleasure it was good meeting you & your crew , see you next year . Curtis

We really enjoyed our stay at this amazing house. The view of the ocean from the second and third decks is perfect. In addition to everything else, there is a great sound system and the owner is very friendly and responsive. I would recommend to anyone.

This house was amazing!!! Six of us decided to get away from the husbands and kids for a "girl's" getaway. We arrived and were greeted by the owner who gave us a tour of the house. The furniture in the living room and bedrooms was woodsy, a very masculine, yet comfortable feel. Each room had a TV and there was also a huge TV in the living room. The kitchen included all of the necessary appliances for us to feel at home. On the second floor I immediately fell in love with the master bedroom and claimed it for my own. It had a jacuzzi tub along the tinted windows which looked out onto the ocean. "My" newly found room had French doors that opened up to a perfect view of the ocean. Each morning I just sat up in bed, drinking coffee, watching the waves roll in. The view of runners and bikini clad 20 & 30 year olds wasn't bad either, as it brought back memories of wilder, slimmer days. We spent our days drinking margaritas at the bistro tables on the 2nd floor and laying out (topless, at times) on the third floor because people on the boardwalk were unable to see. Evenings usually included a few bottles of wine in the jacuzzi located on the third floor. Of course, it also sat on the edge of the deck. So, we had the same fabulous view. In case you couldn't tell, I had the best time ever. I will definitely return next year!

THE HOME WAS MORE SPECTACULAR IN PERSON THAN IN PICTURES! LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION! WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING. THE HOME COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLE WANT FOR SPENDING TIME AT THE BEACH. CURTIS AND RAY MAKE THIS HOME SPARKLE AND RUN LIKE A TOP. WHAT A PLEASURE IN DEALING WITH BOTH OF YOU, THANK YOU! OUR PARTY HAD PEOPLE RANGING IN AGES FROM 4 TO 84 AND EACH ONE OF THEM HAD THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES AND NOT ONE DULL MOMENT FROM THE GLORIOUS SUNRISE TO SPECTACULAR SUNSET. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOME TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO THOURGHLY ENJOY THEIR VISIT TO SAN DIEGO. SO MUCH SO THAT I AM GOING TO SUBMIT MY REQUEST TO STAY AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER 2010.

We had our wedding at this location and it was amazing. There was plenty of room on the 2nd and 3rd level decks for our guests to enjoy the ocean view and festivities! The master bedroom faces the ocean for an incredible view. The zen den also served as a perfect place for the girls to get ready and the decor was very complimentary to the photos taken! Definitely recommend this location and would love to return!
Owner response:Nicole , im glad everything went well for your wedding ,the place was left in great shape ,i appreciate that . Thanks again Curtis

This is an absolutely amazing house, and the location is perfect. You are right on the boardwalk and minutes away from restaurants and stores. The views from the house are incredible, especially the second deck, you can relax, watch the sun raise and set, BBQ, or people watch all while enjoying a breathtaking oceanfront view. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, beach towels, chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards. Curtis was a joy to deal with, and we would definitely stay here again. This is a vacation that our family and friends will not soon forget!

We stayed here with a number of friends earlier this year. You really could not ask for a better location and setup. Unlike most homes around it, which are long and deep minimizing ocean front exposure, this home sits longways across the beach. Every window boasts a fantastic view. There is also a porch with direct access to the boardwalk, and 2 additional expansive decks on the 2nd level and rooftop. Extremely well equipped: 2 BBQs, hot tub, cooking supplies. The location is in close proximity to great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The owner was also a pleasure to work with. I will honestly never stay in a hotel in the San Diego area again.
