Its proximity to year-round activities makes it truly special. Monarch ski area is 10 minutes away with a local ski rental shop just a minute away. And it is only a few minutes to the Arkansas River with its great fishing opportunities. The trailhead to Mount Shavano and the Colorado Trail are both near by and hiking/ biking trails are accessible right out the front door. With everything so close, all you have to do is get up and go! This new home has a spacious lodge-style layout with a vaulted ceiling and large full-height windows. The orientation of our vacation rental home maximizes the incredible close up views of Mount Shavano and the Continental Divide. This panorama is astounding in all seasons and in all directions! Oh and bring your binoculars to catch a lasting memory of the grazing deer and elk. This is a quality built log home, with the creative work of experienced craftsmen displayed in the details. There is beautiful tile flooring throughout the open main area and tongue and groove aspen on all interior walls. The post and beam construction of the loft adds to the beauty of the natural look and feel of the logs. The quietness of a custom log home is something to be experienced! The solar gain adds warmth and a sunny atmosphere that really brightens everyones day that stays in our vacation home. Plenty of room with an oversized downstairs bedroom that has a queen-size bed and two doubles. The large upstairs bedroom has a queen and a pull-out futon mattress (for kids). Imagine your family relaxing in our log home after a great day of skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, fishing ..........whatever you enjoy doing!
