Why the Owner Chose TavernierWe chose to buy a vacation rental in this area because it is centrally located between Key Largo and Islamorada and not to far from Miami Airport.
The Unique Benefits at this CondoThe benefits we like about Ocean Pointe is that it is a resort style condo, with a Jr Olympic size swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, a small beach with a marina and a cafe. It is a large complex, plenty of room to move around.

Our names are Christine & Anthony Bassett. We have owned this property since 1997 and live in Key Largo originally from N.Y. We obviously love it here, Thats why we moved here. We treat everyone that comes on vacation here just like we would want to be treated and want everyone to have a great experience.

I’ve been coming down to the Keys for more than17 years, to Fish. For the first dozen or so years Key Largo was only a Key that I drove through. A few years ago I met Captain Chan and Fluff, who developed a perfect way to catch Yellowtail Snapper aboard the Gulfstream in Key Largo. That year I new I would need a place to stay in Key Largo. After looking at a few places I made a reservation for the following year. It turned out OK but not really what I needed. Then I met Christine and she let me see her condo at Ocean Pointe. My first reaction was this is way more than I need, but on those days when the wind is blowin and I can’t get out to fish, this would be a perfect place. The condo is clean as a whistle and has all you will need to have a perfect stay. For handicap guest the parking, elevators and grounds make getting around perfect. After a day at sea I bring my catch to one of the two fish cleaning stations at the harbor. By the 2nd or 3rd day the Pelicans are waiting there for me. Large schools of snapper frequent the gin waters of the harbor. Young anglers have numerous places throughout the resort to target a catch. As you travel thru the resort you can’t help to notice the parking areas for boats on trailers, and how they are perfectly laid out. I use their wash down stations to clean my tackle after every trip. The boat ramp at the club house is in perfect shape and a stones through to the ocean. I like to go for a walk each day, throughout the resort for the false dawn and always feel safe and a bit adventurous before watching the new day’s sun. When the tide is out you can walk a mile checking out the sea life as the water is only about knee deep. If you bring someone along you won’t be alone, as the resort has the only access. Perfectly private. For my guest who may not fish, they will find relaxing throughout the resort grounds is perfect

A home away from home, there was nothing lacking and I mean nothing. My grandkids found a treasure closet in the guest room ( from fishing poles to dolls and water guns) they had a ball. The fishing for the kids was great from the docks and a wonderful place to introduce them to fishing. We had a day at the beach on the second day and there were umbrellas and a small ice chest sand pails and all. Thanks Jim and Julie for making our quick getaway so great. I also have to mention the professional way the contracts were done and honoured, directions and instructions were precise. Thanks again and we will be back
