Beautiful Lodging Three Blocks to the Plaza!
This lovely town home is a very nice alternative to small and expensive Santa Fe hotel rooms. Everything is of high quality and decorated with local art, ensuring a pleasant stay in a perfect location.
Pueblo-style architecture, viga log ceilings, real plaster walls, slate tile floors, kiva fireplaces and original New Mexican art ensure a true "Santa Fe" experience!
Enjoy all of the amenities you'd hope for in a high end lodging: Luxury baths, full kitchen with all utensils and appliances, internet connection, high thread count sheets, washer/dryer, A/C, radiant heat, private patio and more.
Walk around the corner and be at the Plaza without having to worry about parking with your two underground, secured spaces. Absolutely the best location in town for the new Convention Center, too; it's right across the street!
Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with great separation of space. The master bedroom has it's own fireplace, jetted tub and private deck. Each of the two guest rooms also have their own baths. The third, main floor bedroom/office is the smallest and doesn't have a window but has access to the living areas and it's own bath with shower.
Relax on the patio (with outdoor gas fireplace!) or on the upstairs deck.
Entertain and prepare meals in the fully stocked, large kitchen with sitting area and built-in computer desk.
Stroll to museums, restaurants, shopping and galleries and then head back to the peace of your own "home" in Santa Fe.
A stay here is like having the best "Luxury Suite" in any of the hotels within walking distance to the Plaza, but with much more space, privacy and style!

Walk to Plaza from Luxury Townhome in the Heart of Downtown!
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose El Corazon de Santa Fe
We had been coming to New Mexico and Santa Fe for almost twenty years and decided we wanted a place to call our own!
We collect New Mexican art and artists and love the amazing work that they do. New Mexico is like no other state and I'm happy to be a small part of it. We travel a lot and the arts, restaurant and cultural scenes in Santa Fe are world class and it's surprising how well it is known around the world. We recently rented an apartment in Bordeaux, France and the French owner was on his way to....the Santa Fe Opera!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We chose El Corazon because of it's wonderful location; we can walk to almost everything in town. We were just tired of expensive hotel rooms, too, and wanted more space and a kitchen while we were in Santa Fe. We can relax by the fire, in the patio or entertain in the kitchen. Plus now I have an official place to put more of the stuff we collect! We only own one place in Santa Fe, so we're not part of a big rental company, ensuring a personalized "Santa Fe" stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Santa Fe and the condo was ideally situated to everything we wanted to do -- both in walking and in driving. The accommodation and amenities of the place were outstanding. It was a little odd to have to leave the condo so that it could be viewed by perspective buyers however. The first time was no big deal since we had already made plans and it was later in the afternoon. The second time -- around lunch time -- was inconvenient since we had to rearrange our schedules to accommodate. I understood, once we arrived, that the unit is on the market and that the renter is in the business to sell it. If you are looking for an uninterrupted, relaxing, no hassle vacation rental I am unable to endorse or recommend this service due to this issue. Other than that the condo was delightful. I did receive my $600 deposit back in a timely fashion –- without any mention of the inconvenience however.
Owner response:Very sorry about the showings! My agent did ask for permission in advance and was told it was OK by the renters. However we never would allow for this normally and it was a mistake on our part so sorry about in inconvenience.

My wife and I spent the month of Nov and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. We had various friends visit throughout our stay and they commented have nice and functional the house was. It is very convenient to walking to the plaza and you can walk to the grocery store if you are only purchasing a small item or two. We had a problem with the refridgerator during our stay and the local manager immediately took care of the problem. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Fe.
Owner response:Wayne, I'm so glad your month in Santa Fe worked out so well. Thanks so much for the kudos and thanks for the patience with the frig issue! I would love to see you come back again anytime. Chip

This condo allows you to park and walk everywhere around the plaza. Property is the best vacation rental I have stayed at (been here 2 years in a row). Chip is great and easy to work with. Property allows for 2 or 3 couples with plenty of room. Appears professionally decorated and equiped with everything needed to feel at home. Would recommend this unit to anyone wanting a first class property.
Owner response:Mike, What a great guest you are to have in Santa Fe again! Thank you for the kind review, which I highly appreciate. I tried to keep the decor simple but still reflecting the Santa Fe style, so it's nice to hear good comments on it. Sincerely, Chip

This experience was a first for our family, we were in Santa Fe for my son's wedding at the Loretto Chapel so I was trying to make it as stress free as possible. The bride's family stayed at the Loretto Inn for almost as much per night as we paid and were so jealous of our accommodations for the price. The townhome was so convenient to the square and everything we needed to get to. We could not get over how quiet and peaceful it was inside and out, almost like we were away from the city. The underground parking gave us great relief so that we never had to worry about the car. The privacy and security was beyond any of our expectations!!! So much more relaxing than a hotel room. We try not to eat out so it was great to have the use of a beautiful kitchen with amazing Jenn Aire appliances at our fingertips. The owner provided a wonderful bottle of wine and crackers from Trader Joe's upon our arrival, also. The bedding was exquisite and very comfortable!!! It was so cozy, just like being at home, to come back in the cool evenings in Santa Fe and turn on the gas fireplaces which warmed the room immediately. I would rent this home again and recommend it in a heartbeat!! The owner and I e-mailed back and forth a few times beforehand, so by the time we stayed here I almost felt like I was staying at a relatives home. Jill the local manager was very polite and helpful with anything that we had questions about. This rental is exactly as it is portrayed in the photos and a whole lot more, trust me you will not be disappointed!!!!!!
Owner response:Kathy, Thank you so much for the nice comments! It's always good to hear when someone appreciates our work to make our home an enjoyable stay in Santa Fe. I've stayed in homes all over and so try to make mine an experience that I would enjoy myself. And I'm with you and rarely stay in hotels anymore! What a nice thing to hear from an even nicer guest. Thanks again! Chip

We were just thrilled with this spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated condo. Wonderful touches of Santa Fe and the Southwest throughout. We had everything we needed and more to have a comfortable relaxed stay for our group of five adults. The location could not have been better even during this busy Wine and Chile Festival weekend. The owners were great to deal with and we appreciated their suggestions of restaurants, places to shop and things to do in the area. We all would return here.

One of the nicest furnished and best equipped rental I have stayed at. Excellent location only a few blocks from plaza. Had slight problem 1st night due to unit not being cleaned from last tenant, but property manager and staff of El Corazon were able to put us in another unit (2br/2ba) for the 1st night, then we moved to this unit next day. Owners were accommodating for our problems. Would recommend this unit to anyone, especially more than 4 adults. I feel certain that the owners and management will be sure unit is clean before any new arrivals.

Our party of 5 arrived at El Corazon and felt as if we had just checked in to a lovely luxury hotel. The place was spotlessly clean, well stocked with fresh towels and all bathroom needs, the beds were comfy, the rooms light and airy, and the location convenient to all the attractions of Santa Fe. It is an incredible deal -- very good value for the cost. (Only caveat: the third bedroom, which is downstairs, is smallish -- basically an alcove/office used as a bedroom -- It has no window, but its double doors open wide into the living room and the adjoining full bath has a good-sized window that opens onto the front courtyard). The kitchen is well appointed -- being in Santa Fe, we ate out a lot (highly recommend The Shed, Cowgirlz BBQ, Tomasita's, Coyote Cafe in Santa Fe; Tesuque Village Market in Tesuque) -- but we did cook a farmers market feast for ourselves one night and the kitchen made it easy. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in town, from dinner at the Coyote Cafe to an afternoon at the very close-by Georgia O'Keeffe museum to leisurely daily strolls around the plaza, etc etc. The owner was most gracious and helpful through the whole reservation process, and even let the couple in our party who were arriving by car from Colorado "check in" early. Once we were all back home, he promptly sent us the check refunding our security deposit. Would we stay at El Corazon again? Yes! Would we recommend it to our incredibly picky in-laws and most discerning friends? Absolutely!

I take an annual trip with my girlfriends and we generally stay in hotel rooms. I was responsible for booking our accomodations this year. That's pressure. This was our FIRST time to rent a townhome and quite frankly I was a little nervous. A couple of my friends are neat freaks and I was concerned that we would arrive and .... well you know. -- What a RELIEF. This place was fantastic. It was spaceous, spotless, and cozy. Being able to spend mornings and evenings together in the family room was such a bonus (compared to the hotel rooms of the past). Again the place was fantastic! and I was the hero! They haven't stopped talking about it. Thanks so much for sharing it with others. The girls from Texas.
Owner response:So glad you're the hero! And glad your first time in a rental vs. a hotel was such a good experience for you...I've been a convert for a while now and love it!

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed El Corazon #30 for our trip! Lovely place and all the family enjoyed the accomodations and closeness to the plaza. We have already said we'd like to stay there again some time - and I gave your phone and address to all the relatives that might want to take separate trips. We just can't say enough good things about the place! We've rented privately owned places before - but yours tops the list. We had all the supplies we needed and then some and everything was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed having enough room for a big dinner gathering one night - and also loved the coziness and quietness of the complex. Even the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly....we just couldn't have asked for more. Oh and the master bathroom - OH MY did we enjoy THAT! I think that bathroom is the size of our bedroom at home - LOL! And the closet! Oh what a place!
Owner response:Thank you so much Marcia!

Six of us stayed at this condo over Thanksgiving. It was a fabulous experience! The place is ideal for 3 couples or a family needing 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Beautiful accomodations, gourmet kitchen, nice linens, fully wired for computers, fireplace--really, the condo exceeded our expectations. I think anyone would enjoy staying here. Close walk to the plaza. Covered parking. Many conveniences and amenities. If you're deciding between 3 hotel rooms vs. 1 condo--pick this condo. That was our big quandry. So glad we chose this instead.
