Our Cape Cod cottage, is a casually elegant and eclectic place to spend a week or two away from you know what. It is located on the South shore of Crystal Lake about half way between Frankfort and Beulah. It’s on a quaint secluded private little unpaved lane to just 24 cottages and it's called Onkeonwe Beach.
The '50s era cottage sits up on a 20’ bluff overlooking Crystal Lake. At the beach area in front of the cottage is our private wooden dock with its 10’ by 10’ platform at the outer end. The dock extends 80’ out into Crystal Lake. It’s great place for swimming, sunbathing and sundowner happy hours. Up on the bluff beside the cottage and facing the lake is a small side deck with a chaise lounge, cocktail table and chairs, a nice place for lunch al fresco.
Immediately behind the cottage is a crushed stone patio area with pine picnic table, natural gas grill, and then the back yard with parking for two vehicles at the rear.
The cottage interior is completely built with original '50s Puritan Pine paneling.
There have been seriously updates over the last four years to include, new berber carpeting, new furnace, appliance and entertainment upgrades including two 32" LCD/DVD combo flat screen TVs with full basic cable, plus a stereo system with 5 disc CD player. There is a computer room adjacent to the living room and it is complete with a desktop computer, LCD flat screen monitor, laser printer, and cable modem with wireless (wi-fi) Internet connection.
Four new mattress sets have been purchased in 2009.
There are two bedrooms downstairs, with a bathroom & shower.
The front bedroom, with a brand new queen size bed, has a window wall providing a lovely view of Crystal Lake with lots of Birch trees, and, vertical blinds for privacy. The second bedroom has a new double bed. Upstairs there is a basic open style dorm area with 2 ceiling fans and 5 additional beds: 1 Queen, 2 doubles (new), 2 twins. Additionally, there's is a second bath with tub and shower. And most recently, a thermostatically controlled 'whole house' attic exhasut fan system.
The kitchen is complete with all necessary conveniences including side by side refrigerator with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, toaster oven and microwave, etc.
The enclosed back porch was redone recently and has a large dining table which seats 6 to 8, a 32' LCD/DVD combo TV, ceiling fan and wood burning stove.
Cottage rates and restrictions>
Cottage is restricted to six occupants. More at addl. charge (see rate info below)
NO SMOKING of any kind within the cottage or back porch.
NO PETS ALLOWED (unless previous consent from owner is obtained).
During the summer season, the cottage is only rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday.

Cottage Pontoon Boat Rental: 20' Pontoon boat with 30 HP outboard.....$50 per day or $250 per week, plus gas.
Cottage Kayak Rental: 2008 Heritage tandem 2 person kayak....$75.00 per week
Cottage Bicycle(s) Rental: Two 2007 Trek Discovery Hybrid trail bikes(his/hers)....$75.00 per week for both or $50.00 per week individually.
Linens and towels are furnished (folded) at $10.00 additional per bed used, or bring your own.

Summer Rates: June through September: $1600 per week (six occupants)
Off Season Rates: October through May: $1250 per week (six occupants)
2 night weekend $300 (six occupants)
3 night weekend $400 (six occupants)
Holiday 3 night weekend $450 (six occupants)
Maximum number of occupants is 9 (nine),with landlord's permission.
Addl. occupants; $10 per night.
Mandatory professional cleaning fee after stay is $75.00
