Our Cape Cod cottage, is a casually elegant and eclectic place to spend a week or two away from you know what. It is located on the South shore of Crystal Lake about half way between Frankfort and Beulah. It’s on a quaint secluded private unpaved lane to just 24 cottages and it's called Onkeonwe Beach.
The '50s era cottage sits up on a 20’ bluff overlooking Crystal Lake. At the beach area in front of the cottage is our private wooden dock with a 10’ by 10’ platform at the outer end. The dock extends 80’ out into Crystal Lake. It’s great place for swimming, sunbathing and sundowner happy hours. Up on the bluff beside the cottage and facing the lake is a small side deck with a chaise lounge, cocktail table and chairs, a nice place for lunch al fresco.
Immediately behind the cottage is a crushed stone patio area with pine picnic table, natural gas grill, and then the back yard with parking for two vehicles at the rear and additional parking in front below the bluff.
The cottage interior is completely built with original '50s Puritan Pine paneling.
There have been seriousl updates over the last 6 years to include, new berber carpeting, new furnace, appliance and entertainment upgrades including living roon 32" LCD flat screen TV with DVD player plus another 32" LCD/DVD Combo flat screen TV on the porch both with full basic cable and NetFlix, plus a stereo system with 5 disc CD player. There is a computer room adjacent to the living room and it is complete with a desktop computer, flat screen monitor, laser printer, and cable modem with wireless (wi-fi) Internet connection for your laptop.
There are two bedrooms downstairs, with a bathroom & shower.
The front bedroom, with a new queen size bed, has a window wall providing a lovely view of Crystal Lake with lots of Birch trees, and, vertical blinds for privacy. The second bedroom has a new double bed. Upstairs there is an open style dorm area with 2 ceiling fans and 4 additional beds: 1 Queen, 2 doubles (new), 1 twin. Additionally, there's is a second bath with tub and shower. And most recently, a thermostatically controlled 'whole house' attic exhasut fan system.
The kitchen is complete with all necessary conveniences including side by side refrigerator with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, toaster oven and microwave, etc.
The enclosed back porch was redone recently and has a large dining table which seats 6 to 8, a 32' LCD TV, ceiling fan and wood burning stove.
2012 Cottage rates and restrictions>
Cottage is restricted to SIX occupants. May be increased to a total of NINE occupants only with owners permission and at addl. charge (see rate info below)
NO SMOKING of any kind within the cottage or back porch.
NO PETS ALLOWED (unless previous consent from owner is obtained).
During the summer season, the cottage is only rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday.

Cottage Pontoon Boat: 20' Pontoon boat with 30 HP outboard. Gas not included.
Cottage Kayaks: Two 2010 Pelican one person kayaks and one 2008 Heritage tandem 2 person kayak.
Cottage pedal/paddle boat, canoe and rowing dinghy.
Cottage Bicycles: Two 2007 Trek Discovery Hybrid trail bikes (his/hers).
Bed linens and towels are furnished (folded), or bring your own.
(NOT INCLUDED BUT AVAILABLE Cottage Barnett 14' sailboat because not everyone is into sailing.)
It's suitable for beginers who would like to learn to sail, and quick and fun for those who know how to. Carries up to a crew of three and is simple to rig and sail.
