Location: Beech Mountain, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA (Search for "Beech Mountain Bliss Vacation" on Google Maps)
Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-10)
Keywords: 3-Level Chalet Style Condo
True Bliss on Beech Mountain! Enjoy spectacular views from all 3 levels of our Alpine Chalet style condo, which is located just a couple of minutes from Ski Beech. We privately own and rent out our condo, as well as stay there ourselves when we get the chance - and with 2 spacious bedrooms and a king-sized loft, there's plenty of room for friends and family.
Our Beech Mountain condo is only a short drive from lots of different activities and attractions, including Sugar Mountain (a 20-min drive), Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Linville Caverns & Falls. And we're literally minutes from skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tubing, ice skating, hiking trails, mountain biking, golf – not to mention a spectacular recreation center and the Beech Mountain Club, each of which offer a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities and programs that you can enjoy for a nominal fee.
Instead of settling for a cramped hotel room, come enjoy all the amenities of a year-round home. And because this is a home to our family, a lot of thought has gone into the practical necessities and the creature comforts that you want when you're atop a mountain. For the athletic, we offer a lockable outdoor storage room for your skis and bikes. For the hungry, there is a well-appointed kitchen, complete with microwave, blender and a crock pot (as well as a great selection of restaurants nearby, offering both casual and more upscale fare). For the kids, there are books, games, and puzzles to be discovered in drawers and cupboards around the condo.
Come and enjoy this beautiful place, with its mile-high view and cozy-cottage interior. On cold mornings, step out onto the deck with a hot drink, gaze at the mountains, and breathe in the clean, crisp mountain air! When the high country temps become too real, you can quickly pop back inside to warm up by the fire (and still keep an eye on that view through all those windows). We've got electric heat in every room on all three floors, plus an attractive gas fireplace on the main floor, to keep all 1,500 square feet cozy and warm.
Parking is right in front. Just a few steps across and up to the door, and you (and your luggage) are in! Absolutely no catwalks, twisty icy paths, or precarious rotting log steps.
Inside, rustic painted wood walls and exposed wooden beams support a vaulted ceiling. A beautiful stone fireplace with gas logs graces the main living area (recently improved with new worry-free wood flooring), while a wall of windows, and a door out to the deck, allow you to survey the grandeur of the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond into Tennessee.
Above the main floor, a cozy loft accommodates a king sized bed and en suite full bath. Downstairs boasts two spacious bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with 2 Extra Long twin beds, plus a second full bath. (Note: We have a "bed bridge" available upon request, which allows us to convert the two XL Twin beds into a third King-sized bed for you.)
Step outside from either of these bedrooms and enjoy a lovely view of the mountains from our patio. Two sofa-beds (the Queen-sized is a pull-out, and the Double is a "click-clack") are also available in the living room on the main floor, on the same floor as the half-bath.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
Our family consists of my husband Alex and me, and our little girl, Emily. We live near Raleigh, NC, and feel fortunate to live in a State with such easy access to both the Mountains and the Coast.
Why the Owner Chose Beech Mountain
We discovered Beech Mountain, NC, through friends back in the Summer of 2006; and fell in love our first weekend there. From then on, we started a search for a little place we could call our own and finally found our little piece of Bliss that Fall. We escape to Beech Mountain whenever we can; but share it with others when we cannot. I have always joked that my ancestors probably lived on icebergs, which is why I find the sultry, mosquito-ridden Summers of the South a bit of a trial. On the Mountain, with its cooler temps, I can enjoy the outdoors in Summer again! And in the Winter, we're more likely to find snowy weather up on Beech than anywhere else in NC; so when the yen to sled, skate or ski strikes family & friends, our cozy condo is the natural place to be.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Our favorite thing to do is sit on our deck and gaze at our spectacular view over the Tennessee Mountains. Whenever we bring along friends, we congratulate ourselves on our choice of condo, with stairs to the loft area, instead of a ladder, 2 1/2 baths, and our decision to furnish it with King-sized beds. Our wall of windows, vaulting ceilings and stone fireplace never fail to impress; and we always end up using our time there as an opportunity to make improvements and add amenities that make our stay there, as well as that of our guests, even more comfortable and convenient.

Beech Mountain Bliss was just that - blissful! Heather is absolutely amazing to work with - patient and accommodating! I had never been to Ski Beech and was very wary of the location as I wanted to be very close to the resort in order to shuttle teenagers back-n-forth all day. Well, THIS is the condo for that! It literally took 3 minutes to get from door to slope. I was thrilled with the location and the condo itself is perfect. It's cozy and homey and has everything we needed to cook, hang out and feel at home. The beds were very confortable! The views are amazing! I will stay here again and again and again (if Heather will let me)! Don't pass this one up!
Owner response:Guests like these folks make it all worthwhile! Thank you! Smiling from ear to ear, Heather

Thanks Heather! Everything was as described- we found your place to be like a "home away from home". You really took time to make sure all the details were covered. We were very comfortable. We even saw deer from the back deck on the first morning. Just beautiful. Not to mention- everything was convenient, with ski beech within minutes from your place.

My family, that included five adults and three children, stayed at Beech Mountain Bliss for a week and loved it. The house is very pleasant, having all the luxuries of home. The views from the chalet are breath taking and its location is perfect. We would recommend this chalet to anyone.

Our family came to Beech Mountain and stayed two wonderful nights at Bliss Mountain. Ski Beech is about a mile down the mountain which was just excellent:) The cabin was a perfect home away from home. Thank you Chapmans!!

6/20/09 Spent a great week here, maps and folder of information helped us get a great start on the week. Awesome sunset views from the deck. Even in June the temps were great, Your condo had all the right mixture to make us right at home. The list of menus you had made it so easy to find the right place for our meals out, we knew what each offered, the prices etc. All we had to do was decide!!!

I stayed here in March 2009 with my 14 yr old son and 2 of his friends for Spring Break. We had such a great time. This condo is absolutely adorable and very clean. The location is just minutes away from Beech Mtn Ski Lodge and several places to eat. At the condo they have a notebook filled with things to do in the area & places to eat which was a tremendous help to us because we had never been there before. All & all we had a great trip & plan to go again!!!!
