We have been in Cancun eight times. This accommodation by far was the best of all our destinations. You have the ocean view for sunrise and the lagoon view for sunset. The condo has been decorated with taste and beauty. Everything was as described in the listing. I would not hesitate to recommend this to other tourists.

Richard & Grace's condo is unlike any other condo we have stayed in during our other two trips to Cancun. Their condo is very spacious, clean down to the detail and beautifully decorated --- the photos do not do this home justice! The 3 large bedrooms (each with private bath) were ideal for our group of 6. Two of the bedrooms also offer walk-in closets & great views with one bedroom overlooking the ocean and the other overlooking the bay / street. We had just as much fun sitting on the deck overlooking the bay, street & nightlife as we did on the two decks that are oceanfront! The full kitchen (washer & dryer also) worked out great, not to mention it is gorgeous with granite countertops & stainless steel appliances. Bay View Grand is a beautiful & clean community. The 2 huge infinity pools each have a large whirlpool / hot tub. Access to the beach is just steps from the pools. The bar/restaurant is located between the 2 pools. We ate breakfast & lunch there several days. The food was always excellent & reasonably priced. It offers room service, outdoor seating with a view of the ocean or the waiter will deliver poolside. The Spa offers manicures, pedicures and all types of massages very reasonably priced. The location is great for walking to restaurants and shopping. Some of the restaurants within walking distance: Senor Frogs, Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, Cold Stone Creamery, Outback Steakhouse, Bubba Gump, Margaritaville, a McDonalds and a US pizza chain restaurant. If you choose to take a bus (your cheapest mode of transportation & so much fun!) there are countless eating establishments and shopping to choose from. There are also 2 quick stores right next to Bay View Grand on the same side of the street. We made daily trips to "OXXO" and "EXTRA" for a newspaper and ice cream! The morning after arrival we took the bus to "Market 28" which is located near downtown Cancun and it is where the best bargaining can be done with the local vendors (pottery, silver) then we went to Wal-Mart for our grocery items for the week. We never rented from VRBO before but our first conversation with Richard & Grace put our minds at ease. Richard called before we departed to see if we had any questions & offered invaluable advice from good eating spots to what a fair taxi fair would be. He called again after to see how our trip had been. Our next trip to Cancun we will definetely be staying at Richard & Grace's!

Incredible property!

We just returned from 7 days during spring break at this property with a family of 5 and another family of 4. This is our 4th consecutive year in Mexico and this unit was the best yet! The condo is very well appointed, clean, and comfortable with great views. The Bayview Grand property is immaculate, the pools are huge (and heated), the beach out front is perfect, and the security could not have been better. I was also very impressed with the workout facility as we used it every morning. The snack bar in the pool area was also very convenient and the staff was great. One of the best things about the location (near the end of the hotel zone) is that you can walk a short distance and get away from the "waterfront chain restaurants" and get better food at less than half the price.There are also 2 convenience stores about 150 yards from the main gate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Beautifully furnished with all the ammenities. Property was exactly as listed. Easy access to local restaurants, etc. Beautiful swimming pools complete with a friendly staffed bar with lunch menu at bargain prices. Direct access to beach and water sports. Security staff at front gate and beach access gates 24-7 assured that only residents and renters had facility access. Secure elevators with new key card sytsem was just installed prior to our visit. Felt very safe walking to the center or riding the local bus. Owner was very helpful,providing suggestions for restaurants and attractions. Property manager was extremely helpful and professional. We enjoyed a day at Xcaret, travel to Tulum and Playa DelCarmen and Isla Mejuerres. This is the perfect base of operation for a family vacation. The lagoon facing bedroom can be a little noisy at night from the night club music which carries from three blocks away, but the teenagers in that room just used their ipods during bed time. A very minor issue. We would return to this property if travelling to Cancun in the future.

We had a wonderful time in Cancun and the condo was perfect for our needs. Great location and the grill/bar downstairs at the pool was very reasonable and the food was great. The pool was clean and security was visible at all times. The condo itself was very roomy, clean and comfortable for the 6 of us. We could walk to restaurants and bars as well as shopping in about 5 minutes and the bus is also very convenient for going to other locations in the general area. RIchard was very helpful and quick to offer assistance when called upon both before, during and after the trip.

This propery is in a great location; many restaurants within a short walk. The condo itself is well stocked with everything needed to be comfortable. The Bay View Grand Complex is well-maintained, very clean, with a wonderful pool and beach access. The local property manager greeted us promptly at both arrival and departure and is very nice. Would definitely return.

Let me start by saying that richard is very easy to work with, honest and trustworthy!!! all questions and concerns ( we have never rented a condo over the internet before!!!) were answered honestly-our minds were put at ease!! the condo is nicer then the pictures, very clean and wonderfully decorated with every ammenity you could need. there were 6 of us (2 kids) and we all had plenty of room. we went to the walmart superstore the first day for breakfast and lunch supplies (20$$ return taxi ride- the driver waited for us), and we ate out everynight (wonderful restaraunts minutes down the way!!!) the pools and beach were fantastic!!! snacks by the pool were served by waiters (reasonably priced 4$$ for most) hotdogs, nachos, quesidillas ect. blender drinks for 5$$. the spa was great, great workout facillities, and the kids had a blast!!! there were other kids of all ages there, a great mix of families and friends, we all knew each other by the end of the week!!! we will defiantely do our vacation this way again next year and would not hesitate to rent from richard and grace again!!! the only bad part was that we had to go home!!! 10 days would be perfect next year!!! i honestly can't think of anything bad to say about our vacation!!! thanks alot!!!

We went for New Years 2009. 8 of us - all adults. We had the best time. The weather was perfect and the location was ideal. We all could come and go as we pleased with out the use of taxis. Saved us a lot of money, because with 8 we would always need 2 taxis. Inside was decorated like a magazine spread. The view off the deck was so great and you had the other view off the back of the town and bay - so we got it all. We were all so pleased and The owners were a dream to work with. Never met them but feel like they are our friends. Would tell anyone to go and we will have to plan this again. It was all perfect.

My husband, my two children and I had the pleasure of staying here. The condo is beautiful! It is tastefully decorated with plenty of room. The community is great. Fabulous pools and beaches. The onsite spa is wonderful and very inexpensive. Location is great - close enough to walk to many things. Richard is very easy to work with. We cannot thank you enough for the vacation of a lifetime. When we return to Cancun, we will definitely stay here again!

Nice place - but beware of fictitious damage claims when trying to get your security deposit returned. Specifically, the owner alleged that a drapery was damaged but provided no evidence that damage had occurred or that the alleged damage was not a result of the group that stayed in this unit immediately prior to our arrival. If you do stay here, I recommend that you look at every detail in every room with the property manager when checking in. You may wish to take a digital camera to document the entire place. Plan on taking a couple hours for this process during check-in.

Owner response:In adressing the above comment. A sheer was ripped during the party's stay. It was repaired at a nominal fee which was charged back to the clients.The remaing security deposit was returned to them in full.
