  Our family of 4 with 2 preteens all loved our stay. Beautiful location, well-appointed home, incredible views and you can't beat having a hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean. Highly recommended.

  Our family of 4 had a great time at the Irish Beach house. The description is just as it says - you can see the ocean from every room and the hot tub location was amazing. We loved all the windows and enjoyed being able to relax and enjoy. The entire house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and snacks. The master bathroom was great with the shower and all the amenities. We traveled up and down the coast on day excursions and enjoyed going to the big trees, visiting the towns in the area as well as the wine country. The internet access was not good and we did have some trouble with mobile phone access but we had been told that prior to our visit. I would recommend this home for friends and family.

  We loved it! What a relaxing and fantastic place. So beautiful, so relaxing. Loved the hot tub, the fireplace, the deck, the beach, the house. The pictures don't do it justice! We can't wait to go back.

  We've visited the Mendocino area at least twelve times and, as usual, we had a lovely visit -- even though it was cold and rainy much of the time -- unusual in our experience in April. However, that's true all over the world. Even having cold and rainy weather, staying in this home made our vacation perfect, because there are so many comfortable and scenic couches, window seats, chairs and special areas where we read and talked, enjoyed beverages, and often nodded off to the sound of the ocean. The views from this house are wonderful, because it is an oceanfront home and there are ocean views from every room except one -- Thank you for designing the home this way. We very much enjoyed our stay and left rested and relaxed. ALSO - the owners are wonderful and very attentive to their guests. They are so nice, it is like making friends you haven't met in person yet.

  We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home. The views are amazing. The design of the house is exeptional. And the sound of the surf has made returning to Texas a real challenge. The owner was easy to work with on both the front and back ends and she returned our deposit promptly. The kitchen was well equiped and there was some good reading material in the bookshelves. Perhaps our favorite touch was the spare coats left in the closet. While we didn't end up needing them I would suspect we just got lucky. One concern going in, despite assurances from Margie, was that the Manchester grocery store wouldn't have very much variety because we planned to cook in 2 of 3 nights. Happily, she was absolutely accurate that they have "pretty much everything you would need." Oh, and looking at the stars while in the hot tub was pretty hard to beat! Overall, a wonderful vacation and an inspiration for a retirement home (someday!)

  We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Irish Beach home! When I reserved our stay, I knew that the house was situated on a bluff over looking the ocean . . . but you don’t realize how spectacular that view is until you actually see it! It’s like having an amazing backyard, so to speak. The house it’s self is also lovely. The furnishings are very comfortable and the kitchen is well supplied. The layout is perfect for a large group or just a few people, with two separate seating areas and a large dining table with chairs. There are two large window seats that beg you to sit, read and sip wine . . . at least that’s what they said to me . . . one in the master suite and the other in the living room. Both have beautiful views of the ocean, but actually, most of the other windows do as well. The beach is also wonderful with large amounts of huge driftwood. It looked like an elephant graveyard and was usually deserted; a little chilly though. Margie was excellent to work with and very accommodating. She answered all my last minute questions and gave me the ‘lay of the land’ concerning Manchester and neighboring towns. I would return here again and again! But having said that, I would bring 2 items that were needed for me and my family. 1. eye shades for sleeping in, sun comes up very early 2. a good sharp knife or knife sharpener for the ones that are there. There are plenty of knives, but typical with a rental, they’re never very sharp.

  We have been renting this property for approximately 12 years and have had a wonderful experience each time. Each visit seems to get better and better. The house has always been clean, with the basic supplies needed and has a warm, home-like decor. The owners have been very easy to work with and have been flexible with the dates we were looking for. I don't remember ever having a problem with the house, but am confidant if something was wrong it would be handled as quickly as possible. We first started going to this property before we had kids, and had a nice, quiet, relaxing time. When our sons were babies and toddlers the house was a perfect size and the layout was nice to keep an eye on them, it was a fun, relaxing place for family time, and now that they are 10 & 11 we love to go spend the day building sand castles, walking the beach looking for seashells, tide pooling and football/frisbee fun. We have vacationed here both in the Summer months and Fall months and every time the beach has been without a lot of people and when there were other families, the beach is so large that you still feel like you have the beach to yourselves. Since our kids are older now we can go golfing in Little River and have found some fun places to hike. It has been our experience that the best part about going to this house is we can do absolutely nothing and still have a good time, just playing board games, doing puzzles together, reading, watching movies and enjoying the starry night from the hot tub. It is our favorite place to go and every year our sons can't wait to get back.

  The photos of this property, as beautiful as they are, do not begin to do justice to this place - being inside the house is like being in a ship, with panoramic ocean views from every window and the sound of the ocean permeating every room. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, and the owners have thought of every amenity (including a rainfall shower in the master bath, another unadvertised perk!). We spent a week here with our two children, and enjoyed hours of world class tide pooling on the beach right below the house, plus long beach walks along the private, gated Irish Beach. After some blustery walks it was wonderful to come back to the house and soak in the hot tub overlooking the ocean. We've stayed at a number of places along the Mendocino coast over the years and this was by far our best experience, we can't recommend it highly enough!

  We have stayed at this beautiful home three times now, the last in 8/09. This is the best place to relax and get away from it all! The view from the deck, and many rooms from the house is amazing. The amenities are wonderful, kitchen is well stocked, and there is tons of information at the house for things to do around the area. We will be going back next year, it is our favorite spot!! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOME! BETTER THAN ANY OTHER WE HAVE STAYED IN! Irish Beach is GORGEOUS! :)
