Dear Fernando: Thank you for allowing us to stay at the Lodge over Thanksgiving. You have a very nice facility, and we found everything to be in order. We took care of it as if it were our own house, and I don't think we had any breakage or other problems; if you discover that something is amiss, please let me know. We appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was, and how the shelves were labelled. It certainly helped out when we were unloading the dishwasher. The only change I would make is to provide some additional seating in the living room, as there was only comfortable seating for four. Thanks again, Eric Christensen

Hey Fernando We are back from our FABULOUS weekend at Lorimer Ridge. Every year that place just gets better & better. LOVE the new TV's and the bedding was warm & cozy. It smelled so fresh when we checked in. Carrie was AWESOME!! Try and keep this one. She was amazing to us. I have the new dates for 2010 so whenever you can you can send me the new contract and I will get you the cashola from the girls. The dates are check in Thursday SEPTEMBER 16TH to check out Monday SEPTEMBER 20TH. 2010 will be our 5th year at Lorimer Ridge. We just got home and we are already working on next year. Fernando Just wanted to say thank you, we had a wonderful time at Lorimer Ridge, it worked perfectly, all the family was so pleased ……may return sooner then we think. Wonderful place with everything we needed, lots of room and beds. I trust we left everything in order and nothing was left behind??? Anyway, will keep your place on file for our future family events or perhaps guests request from the hotel. Hi Lorimer, We had a wonderful stay at Lorimer Lodge from 4 -12 April, it's a tremendous property - perfect for our group. It's well designed, well looked after and had everything we needed for our ski trip. Carrie was helpful and did a great job. We were fortunate to get some great snow and lots of sunshine, so it was the perfect trip. Thanks for your help, and I hope we'll be able to stay at Lorimer Lodge again in the future. We were very disappointed with our stay just over a year ago (this owner has changed the profile name of the listing so that negative reviews would be erased.). The house was not clean when we arrived, in fact the live in manager was downstairs drinking and playng pool with friends. The game room, sauna, and hot tub were all closed off for the first night ("it still needed to be cleaned") while they partied. Also, when contacting one of the owners- he was completely unhelpful and did nothing. Apparently the group before us trashed the place so the hot tub was down for the majority of our stay and we had multiple plumbing issues (toilets overflowing.). Beware- no refunds and guarantee of all rooms in house and amenities being available. Would not recommend based on very bad experience with management after dropping several thousand dollars into our stay. It's a shame- the house has a lot of potential. Former listing of this property was under Lorimer Ridge Lodge.

Owner response:The caretaker that was managing Lorimer Ridge Lodge (name has never been changed since we started advertising with VRBO in 2006) is no longer working for us. With that said, Kristi Marino is exaggerating the circumstances - her group arrived 2 ½ hours early - the second and third floors were prepared and the first floor was being completed at the time of her arrival. The games room, sauna and hot tub (all part of the first floor) were ready for the group's usage at their 4 pm check-in time. It is true that two toilets (of the 11 total toilets) did back up during their stay, a plumber was called to repair both the same day and did the repairs the same day. One toilet was not determined why it was backed up and the second was backed due to a tampon being flushed (it should be noted that this was a couple of days into this group's stay). It is true that we have a no refund policy this is aimed at eliminating cancellations. Any amenities that we advertise are always in proper working condition. Although rare, items due occasionally break down during guest stays we have a team of repair people in Whistler that are willing to go the extra mile and make repairs the same day. Kristi Marino wrote her review over 18 months after her stay. Why she took so long, I am not certain, but I do recall her not being satisfied after she had requested a refund and I pointed out to her that the home was ready for her group at the arrival time of 4 pm and that at least one of the two toilets were backed due to her group's usage noting that both were repaired the same day of her complaint. She became very unhappy when I denied her request for a refund as a basis for one did not exist.

Dear Fernando We are back home after a long 24 hour trip. I just want to touch base and tell you how happy we were at the Lorimer Ridge Lodge. The 11 bedrooms were just what we needed being a family of 19 with 4 nannies, who became good friends with Carrie. We were all very comfortable. Fernando, Wanted to let you know that we had a great time (again) at Lorimer lodge. It is a very fine facility and it met all our expectations. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain but we managed to enjoy ourselves anyway. One of my guests wanted me to tell you that she took the room key from room #1 and put it on the shelves in the bathroom by the hot tub and forgot to put it back in the door. Hi Fernando, Everything was absolutely great. We really enjoyed the way the house worked out for us in terms of keeping everyone together and letting them all experience Whistler as well as the event we put on! I plan on sending you a whole bunch of pictures as I get them. We won't have the ones from our professional photographer for a few weeks as he needs to get through the sorting and editing along with working on other projects, but I'll pass some along as soon as we've got them. Hello Fernando, Thank you for all the help with putting this weekend together. We were absolutely amazed with the accomodations (the biggest hits were the private bathrooms & locking bedroom doors!!), and the amount of space was ideal for our needs. The kitchen 'equipment' was amazing and was perfect for the huge meals we were preparing every day. Also, Shelley was a great addition and we all wanted to pass along our thanks for her in cleaning up. We tried to keep that task to a minimum, but we appreciate her help nonetheless. I will definately be keeping your contact info, and have a suspicion you will hear from again in the future - I'll also pass this along to anyone needing accomodations of this size, which are very difficult to find! Hi Fernando, The accommodation was excellent and Cindy was very helpful. The only small shortcomings were that no firewood was delivered and the driveway had not been sanded when we arrived so most of our group spent a bit of time spinning on the ice. Other wise the place was perfect! We are already looking at our calendars to see when we can come up again. I trust all was in order when we left. Can I expect the damage deposit will be processed back to my same credit card?
