Two main wishes in our renovation of the flat: the architectural volume and the decoration in harmony with the age of the building: the 18th century. The architecture of the space is organized around the main idea of flexibility and space. The 18th century style has started with the choice of the old original ‘terres cuites’ tiles, coming from an ancient building of the Marais in a sort of continuity over the time with the style and with the construction period of the building. Concerning the architecture, how to take advantage of the whole volume and of the light during the day and create an intimate feeling by separating the bedroom from the living room at night? The importance then of an evolving space which dress itself up according to our evolving needs related to the various functions and to the time during a day. During the day you take advantage of the surface of the entire apartment. The two sofa beds (size 140x200) transform themselves from very comfortable beds to sofas. You will enjoy the perspective of the wooden ceiling, which is a particularity in old historical building in The Marais. To make the idea of the 18th century style come alive in the decoration, our main guidelines were the followings: - the search of ancient and original materials, like the tiles of the floor, which has their own history to tell..; - the choice of working the colours on the wooden surfaces of the customized piece of furniture and on the wooden parts of the flat and reminding those typical of The Marais : the greens, the reds, the greys ; - the search of original 18th styled objects and accessories. The decoration aims to remind an ancient luxury lifestyle of 18th century and to maintain the dialogue between the past and the present need of ‘légèreté’ in the modern decoration styles. Thus, every piece of furniture is related to the whole harmony of colours and to the perspective of the wooden ceiling. The work of colours on the doors of the furniture and on the wooden part of the flat has been made with the manual technique of ‘patine’ , in other words, the idea of a used coloured surface over the time. To accompany this handcraft /oeuvre work, the colour of the walls propose with the nowadays brightness the colors used during the 18th century rooms. The ancient piece of furniture come from the personal search in ‘brocantes’ and from Drouot’s auctions, the flowered curtains, the wooden golden decorated frames, the wall lamps, the various objects you will find in the flat complete our theme of 18th century style as a sort of jewel, “bijoux” coming from the past. We hope you will feel the “charme” of this place and of the area.

You are in a “breath” where Jewish ancient religious traditions, very animated Jewish restaurants, nice shops, patisserie and daily life are all melted together.
The characteristic of the Marais district is the XVIII century architecture, charming and fascinating. This is the main difference of this part of Paris compared to the West area and the Haussman style, nearly three centuries of history are still to be contemplated
Fortunately in the Marais district Napoleon 3rd (with the help of his Haussmann Minister) has not had the time to destroy the urbanism of this part of Paris, that make the old Marais so close to the human need of beauty, harmony and colours.
The ancient green, red of some entrance doors of the buildings, the rose and the beige of the typical Marais building inspire in us elegance and our mind can imagine the XVIII century lifestyle.
Rue des Rosier crosses ‘Rue Vieille du Temple’, the animated coffee bar and restaurants. You will see the very old bar ‘Le Fer à Cheval’ with its bar at ‘U’ form that is a sort wood craft “Chef d’oeuvre”.
Going from rue Vieille du Temple you will cross “rue de la Croix de la Brétonnerie the known Theatre ‘Point et Virgule’ (where famous actors start to play) . Continuing from these little streets you reach the Modern Art Pompidou Museum.
Continuing to walk from rue Vieille du Temple, you reach Rue des Francs Bourgeois, rue des Archives where you can visit the Old Archives of Paris, Picasso Museum, Carnevalet Museum (history of Frances) , many Art Galeries and shops that introduce us to the fascinating Place des Vosges. Look of the height of the windows and imagine the volume of the apartments behind...
Now you just have to come and visit this wonderful area of “the Marais”.

About: The website asks me to write something about me.... ...
OK let's do it!
I am Italian from Treviso (near Venice) and after my studies in Marketing and Economy I decided to follow my passion in interior decoration. So I started to buy a very upside-down flat and to renovate it! After eight months of work, I understood I could do things pretty well. Then I continued!
Why Paris Arrondissement 4: Because I need Beauty in my life. The area is full of history and a world apart from the other area of Paris. The building is historical monument and so nice to look at it. The heavy and so old entrance door, the façade 18th century style, its marble decoration make this building like a bijoux where to live in.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: When you enter the building you feel the power of history coming in the air. When I entered the apartment the first time I was fascinated from the wooden ceiling and the quiet of the street. I was close to Rosiers street but sufficiently far away from the noise of the streets around. The size of the flat made me feel as protected and surrounded of a message coming from the past to invite me to adhere to it to create a dialogue between the a decoration coming from 18th century and today need of lightness.
