We used the property for a family get together. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The house was very nice, and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Sitting out on the back deck was very peaceful. The hot tub was a hit. There was more than enough room for the eleven of us. The owners were very easy to work with and quick to answer questions. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our youth group settled right in again this year as though they owned the house:) Everything was perfect and we were able to relax and enjoy our retreat together!!! Thanks

I rented Wooded Splendor to celebrate a milestone birthday with family and friends and be near the ski slopes. What a great place. We had so much space, the pictures really don't do it justice! There was plenty of room to hang out and yet there were places to go for some peace and quiet, if necessary. The setting was beautiful and the house was well maintained and clean. We were a short 5 minute drive from Hidden Valley. Phone service is VERY limited, as mentioned in the description. Don't count on being able to give directions to anyone once you are at the house.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Great Secluded Family Getaway but Minutes to Everything!!

The house was great and the pictures do not do it justice. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and I even managed to get most of my laundry done before returning home! We have a mini-family reunion so there was a total of 14 of us all together. We had plenty of room and the ladies enjoyed the hot tub almost as much as the men seemed to enjoy the firepit. The location was great and convenient to everthing. If you travel with children you must make a trip to the animal park. I think the adults enjoyed it as much as the kids! The only negative was that the house lacks internet service and cell phone service (as stated) was spotty at best so it made checking in with work and keeping up with emails a bit tedious, but the location is well worth it. If your looking for a quiet, mountain get away, then look no further.

Great home away from home

We were on a retreat w/nine women and the property really fit the bill. There was room for all to spread out and a good gathering area as well. The setting was ideal. We enjoyed being able to have a camp fire and being able to sit on the deck. The property was well main tained which we appreciated.

Ski Retreat 2011

We decided to rent this house again this year for our youth group. It easily and comfortably slept all 17 of us. This house is well maintained, very clean, easy to get to and an affordable price. Our teens looked forward to returning this year and had a great time. Thanks so much for the great property! We will most likely rent this property again for next years retreat!

The house is very well maintained in a nice secluded area. We had a family get together during Thanks Giving weekend, and all of us had a great time.

Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

The property was lovely. Fits the description accurately and was perfect for five couples. It is tucked away in the woods with lots of privacy. Close to flight 93 memorial. Falling Water was a great experience. We highly recommed Out of the Fire Cafe in Donegel.

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful few days between Christmas and New Years. We love getting our children,and their families in one place(eight adults and nine children). 10 inches of snow, opening Christmas gifts playing Wii, good movies, good food, and family fun time together. The house is great and everyone had a great time. We enjoy being together and catching up on our lives. Plenty of room and everything needed. A wonderful location in the woods.

We are a group of three families who rented the house last summer and plan to rent it again. It was fabulous. The bedroom accommodations and all amenities far exceeded our expectations, and the lower level was a great asset, especially for all the kids.

Oct, 2009 - We(7 women) just returned from our annual shopping trip to the USA. This year we decided to rent Wooded Splendor and we were all thrilled with the house. It is beautiful, spacious, clean and private. Everything exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this house and we have already booked for October 2010.

We had a great weekend at the Fern Mountain. This was the first time we ever rented through vacationrentals.com so we did not have high expectations but were pleasantly surprised by how nice the house was. It was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful to deal with. We would definitely stay here again for a great weekend.

My family (11 Adults and 4 Children under age 5) spent a summer week at the cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabin has plenty of space and is convienient to many state parks, and other activities...yet peaceful and quiet on the property itself. We look forward to going back again!

I rented this house with several friends from around the country. Everyone just loved the house; it exceeded all our expectations. The house is spacious, well-equipped, well-laid out, clean, comfortable and close to several attractions. I will absolutely stay there again.

We had five families stay at this fantastic cabin. The kids (6 of the little rug rats)had a great time. They could be down stairs in the game room and the adults upstairs enjoying the great wood burning fireplace. Our stay was so pleasant we are going back in the fall. We, 3 families 14 people rented Wooded Splendor for our yearly Ski Vacation New Years week,07-08.Everyone had a great time. Very Clean, Cozy and comfortable,with that new feeling.The Wood Burning Fireplace,Hot Tub, 20" Snow Storm and a good bottle of Red or three, went together perfectly.Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The house is equiped with everything you need,plus.The covered access from the Garage to house made for easy load and unload in Snowy weather.Very private and quiet,Only 15 minutes away from Seven Springs Ski Resort. My vote, Wooded Splendor, Great place!!!

We just returned from a relaxing scrapbook weekend at wooded splendor. There was plenty of room for 14 women to sleep and scrap. We throughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the hot tub! We'll be back in the spring.

The house is better than any pictures or details this website gives. The house is very spacious for your guests with everything you could imagine in it. It is also away from your typical block of rental houses which also allow for more peace and quite. However, it still is not to far away from restaurants and daily necessities. I encourage you to rent this space and know that you will have a great time there. All my guests and I still talk about the great time we had in the house.
