We had a fabulous vacation and and its true what they say... Waipouli Beach Resort and this condo are first-class and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations! We enjoyed the location of the resort, where travel to the north and south sides of the island were very easy and relatively quick. The condo is well appointed to the pool and other amenities and we enjoyed the private garden style view, compared to many condos that viewed the parking lot. We could hear the ocean as we slept and that was a real treat! We can't wait to go back! Thanks for everything Peter!

Great time in Kauai!

Loved our time at the Waipouli Beach Resort in November 2011. The pool was the highlight for our 5 year old son. Great location on the island, close to everything. Peter was responsive and helpful, we even had the damage deposit back in our Paypal account upon our return. Condo itself was fantastic and spotless. Definitely recommended.

This was a great condo for our vacation. The unit was immaculate and everything is just as described. The pictures do not do it justice. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were good quality. There were beach items in the closet which are not mentioned in the description. There was no hairdryer but the owner warned us that it's one item that goes missing often when people check out. The britta filter pitcher in the fridge helped save money on buying bottled water. We really stressed over choosing a unit with a pool view or ocean view but after going there, this was the much better choice. The location of the unit on a ground floor was so much better than dealing with an elevator. You can walk to the beach or the parking lot or the restaurant without having to go through the complex. The private grassy "patio" was wonderful. We were gone all day so the extra money spent on a deck overlooking the ocean would have been wasted but the quiet privacy of sitting outside the bedroom with no one looking in on you was an unexpected extra. The owner is very easy to work with and communicates well throughout the entire process. The Waipouli Beach Resort is a great location for exploring the whole island. Safeway and Starbucks are across the street. Go to Bobby V's one block away for a $7.99 all you can eat breakfast. The Oasis on the Beach restaurant at the resort is fabulous for beachfront fine dining and happy hour.

We LUV Oasis on the Beach, our fave for pupus! & glad you had a good breakfast at BobbyV's, but we've rcvd mixed reviews regarding their food, so we'd recommend to "proceed with caution" as your mileage may vary:-) We suggest Ono Family Restaurant in Kapaa as its been much more consistent. We had to wait a very long time to take a vacation by ourselves. We looked at alot of condos and hotels. This was the best with an awesome price. We finally got to go sept. of 2011. We had such a relaxing time. This condo is very private and steps away from the beautiful pool, and the private beach. The pics on this site don't do it justice, it's much more prettier :) The room was very clean and comfortable too. Peter was exceptionally kind and was able to answer all my many many questions. I've told many friends about this place and will continue to recomend it highly.

Amazing place and time

My wife and I booked here the beginning of May. the Condo was fantastic as was the resort in general. This was our first time to Kauai, despite it storming most of the time due to some abnormal low weather front which stalled above Kauai for a few weeks ( which is not the norm according to the locals for it to rain that hard for several weeks straight) we had an amazing time. The Island is very easy to get around, and having the super marker right across the street from the condo was a huge plus. The island is very lush and we were able to see some water falls which have not ran in years due to the rain fall which was an added bonus. We highly recommend Captain Andy's Cat tour on the Southern Star !!! Amazing crew, boat and time. For those divers we recommend Bubbles Below and dive the Napali coast totally worth the money. Did not get to enjoy tho l pool but the MiTies at the bare are to die for. WE highly recommend renting from Peter ! He is great and the fresh flowers were a very nice touch when we arrived. We will defiantly be back again to rent from Peter. MAHALOS - M & M

Simply Amazing

My husband and I stayed here in April and we already want to go back. The room was amazing and so was the resort There is even a little private patio area great for relaxing. Having a ground floor room was very convenient as we could just walk out to the beach or the pool. We will definitly return as soon as possible. You could not ask for a better location or a more perfect room!

Great vacation and loved the condo

It was a great location as it is central to everything. It worked out good for us as we would head out to south if it is raining in the north and head to north if it the surf is high in the south. Peter was great to work with, he was prompt and responded right away. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and meals. They also had boggie boards, beach mats and umbrella that were very useful. The location of the unit is secluded with steps away from the beach. You can walk out of the lanai and go to the beach in less than a minute. The pool and slides are fun for the kids and we enjoyed the hot tubs at the end of the day everyday. One suggestion we have is to invest in a good quality sofa bed. It is good for small kids but not that comfortable for adults and older kids. My boys are growing and big now, they would have prefferred little more comfort. They complained once but I know they slept like babies after a fun day at the beach and all the hiking. Overall we had a positive experience at the condo and we would recommend it to other visitors

Wonderful, Centrally Located Condo!

The Waipouli Beach Resort has one of the nicest pool areas we've ever seen and we would HIGHLY recommend this location for families and adults alike. The grounds are amazing and the ocean is only steps away from your lanai. We loved being very central on the island. It is an easy drive up to the north Princeville and Hanalei area as well as a quick drive down to the Poipu area. I also loved being able to walk across the street to Safeway, Starbucks and Long Drugs. My only negative note about the complex is the gym is a tiny, dingy room with no windows. I felt like I was working out in a box. However, Peter's unit is GOREOUS! Having two bathrooms is very convenient, having two tv's was also convenient for when our son wanted to relax and watch tv. The kitchen and appliances are top-notch and the linens are very well stocked. We loved being on the ground floor - extremely convenient to come & go from the pool or the ocean and yet very private when others walked by. I would highly recommend it for a family with one child like us (our son slept on the pull out couch-bed) or a family with two small children.

Fabulous Honeymoon Retreat!

This condo was the cherry on the top of our wedding cake! Absolutely everything Peter told us and more!! The location was perfect for privacy at a resort, better than expected. We had our own private lawn area for morning coffee and evening martinis, the condo even has martini glasses!! We could hear the waves at night from our bedroom. I have to stop reviewing because its making me sad we had to leave. But we will be back for many years, it was simply that good! Mahalo Peter!

Best Resort in Kauai

We had a great time at this resort. The unit is conveniently located near the pool. I don't know what was more amazing, the pool or the condo itself. Our kids played in the pool for hours of every day. The condo was very comfortable and it is off the charts for quality. I have never seen a nicer kitchen outside the "Parade of Homes". There is an on-site restaurant that serves delicious food every evening. On Wednesdays they have 1/2 priced entrees during happy hour. I would highly recommend this unit and this resort to everyone.

Incredible Island Getaway!

We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon in September 2010. From our first interactions with the owners on VRBO, our experience was nothing but wonderful! The owners were very communicative and easy to work with online in advance of our visit. Once we arrived, we were stunned to find that the unit was even more beautiful that the pictures online! The interior is luxuriously appointed and spacious and the private garden has lovely views of both the pool area and the ocean. The resort itself is centrally located to many sites on the island, as well as many restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We loved every minute and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We can't recommend this highly enough and can't wait to go back!

We stayed in this condo in September 2010 for our honeymoon - it was incredible! The owners were very communicative and easy to work with in advance of our visit. This was our first visit to Hawaii , so we did several islands over a 3 wk. period and Peter's place on Kuaii was our favorite. Great condo, beautiful property and pool area. Very convenient to everything including shopping and restaurants. Would highly recommend it to couples or families with children.

Fun, upscale resort

Should start this out by saying my wife and I have no kids, but we love to be around them, so this may slant our our review a bit. There are usually lots of kids at this resort and they can get loud here and there, but there are plenty of places to get away to and he pool has many neat little hiding spot you can find away from the noise. The resort is located mid-island on the east-side, so it is in a perfect place to truly explore both sides of the island for all there is to do, we really appreciated this by the end of the week.This was an amazing resort, we stayed in one of the condo rentals and Peter was very helpful in securing this rental and provided lots of information on what things to do and see. The condos are fully outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances, washer/dryer, stove, fridge, double-drawer dishwasher. Kitchen had beautiful marble counter tops and the beds were really comfy. Ceiling fans in both rooms helped to circulate air and the jacuzzi bath was my wife's favorite amenity. The resort has a marvelous pool area and the pool is lots of fun, as seen in the promo pic, it's a long winding pool that has all sorts of treats along the way. The kids there really enjoyed the watersides and plenty of space for the adults to get-away. There are two BBQ's for general use, and they are usually lines so get your meal prepared early, Foodland (across road) or Costco are the best places to get meat or fish, Safeway is expensive and limited, much as at home. Beach was not really usable this time of year (April 1-10), to rough and windy. No worries, lots of beaches close by that are amazing. This is a beautiful island with lots to explore and do. Snorkel at Tunnels, it won't disappoint!! The on-site restaurant is expensive, but very good. For other food ideas, recommend The Beach House (make a sunset reservation early, crazy beautiful), Gaylords Plantation, and Brennecke's for dinner, Kapuki Joes for lunch and any sports watching (we were there for Final Four..wow!!), and Eggberts down the street has a mean breaky menu and good too. Wailpouli Beach Resort did not disappoint, beautiful, clean, and lots of help if you need things to do, the staff are friendly and diligent. Wonderful stay, would go back in a heartbeat.

just returned from a wonderful 25yr anniversary on the island of kauai. our home for 10nts was this wonderful condo at the waipouli beach resort. it was everything as stated and more! Peter just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo, and to also thank you for making sure that all the details were taken care of for our arrival. The resort and central location to everything was an unexpected delight, the shopping center across the street and local restrauants were a hugh plus. One of the hidden beautys was the 5 mile walk along the coast each morning on the walking and biking path was such a delight, you could watch the sunrise in the morning as you walked along the coast, by the way the sun rise is so beautiful its hard to tell the difference between the sunrise and sunset.. My husband and I had a fabulous vacation in Kauai. This resort is amazing, with a lazy river pool, water falls, slides, great ocean location, convienently located across from a grocery store. One of the best day spa's on site- Aveda. The condo is extremely nice with gorgeous upgrades! The price, probably one of the best on the island! We can't wait to bring more of our family back. The property was spotless and well-maintained. The owner provided his emaila nd cell phone just incase we needed to contact him that week. The grill on location is a great little grill if you don't want quick service and a good little dinner or lunch.

The condo was beautiful and the staff was great. It was conveniently located to hiking trails and only 30 minuted to Poipu. The condo we rented was infront of the pebble beach pool which was perfect for our 3 year old. Our son loved it so much that everywhere we went on the island, he asked to go back to the condo. The only drawback was that there was no room service, but they do have a onsite restaurant with a limited menu, the Ahi appetizer was delicious! I would definitely stay there again when I come back to the island.

We had a great time here! The pool area is amazing. The grounds are well maintained. The condo is beautiful and VERY clean. The kitchen is incredible! Everyone was so nice. We stayed at a condo up the road for our first week on the island and stayed here for the last three nights of our vacation - we loved our last three nights the best! We'd love to come back and visit again.

We absolutely loved the condo. Every room was beautiful, but the kitchen was high class, even down to the kitchen utensils! It was really nice having a unit so close to the pool. Tom, We enjoyed our stay so much! The condo was clean, the decor was beautiful and up-to-date. Loved the appliances, the grounds could not have been more grand. Loved the location, we were centrally located to all the activities, 2-3 miles from the Luau. We went kayaking, hiking, zip-lining, & snorkeling off a beautiful catamaran.
