This is our second time to rent Jim and Becky's Chalet. It is still one of the most wonderful places to vacation and kick back that you can imagine. From the moment that you walk in you feel like you are at home. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and rest. It is also so close to Red River and Taos if you need some sight seeing or shopping.

Well I have to say Jim and Becky's place was totally AMAZING and better than we ever could have hoped for. We fell in love with it the instant we arrived. We spent a week in early June 2011 and the weather was perfect. After a wonderful weeks stay, I am still unable to find even the smallest fault. You must travel the Enchanted Loop and take in the beauty of Eagles Nest, Red River, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. We traveled to Cimarron and were awed by the beauty of the canyon walls. so many other wonderful things were within a short driving distance. One week was not enough to take it all in. Next time we go we will stay at Jim and Becky's for two weeks. Make sure you stop by the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial that is almost within walking distance of the cabin. You will find out why there are so many kleenex boxes when you visit and understand the reasons for the memorials existance. It is a must see. We took an enclosed trailer and our ATV's to roam the National Forrest it was totally amazing and there is plenty of room at Jim and Becky's to park it all. We could have spent weeks on the trails. No problem with space on that lot. We watched tv and used the wireless internet and it was flawless. We enjoyed it so much that we are getting ready to put in an offer on a house in their neighborhood and our only concern was that it would not hold all of the family. Problem solved, if we need more room we will have our own place and rent this cabin for the overflow. Five stars is not enough for this mountain retreat, 10 would be more appropriate. We wanted to buy this cabin but Jim and Becky wont turn it loose. It will someday be their full time mountain paradise so you should rent it while you still have a chance. You will always remember it. Jim and Becky are the best to work with. My wife and I have decided it was one of the best vactions we have ever had. Hats off to the owners.

We were overwhelmed with the comfort of this home. We had a great time playing in and around the area. With elk sightings in the morning, 4-wheeling in the afternoon to Gooose Lake, and overall quietness, this is definitely a place we want to return to.

THE GRANDKIDS THINK THE CHALET IS THEIR HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

My husband and I, our son, our daughter and her husband, and their three girls have just returned from our seventh stay at Jim and Becky's lovely home nestled in the mountains above Angel Fire. The chalet is surrounded by pine trees overlooking the ski slopes and valley below. If you are looking for a place to stay that is very quiet except for the mooing of an occasional cow, humming from the hummingbirds, or chirping of various birds, this is the place to stay!! It has been a wonderful retreat for our busy lives, and we look forward to our summer visit in August and our ski visit in January each year. Jim and Becky treat us like family and always make sure everything is ready for us when we arrive, they will call the first day to make sure all was ready. If there is any problems at all, we just give them a call and the problem is immediately handled. I do most of the cooking and everything you need is supplied for you in the kitchen area. The laundry area is also well-equipped as are all three bathrooms. The den area is large enough for all of us to enjoy a movie together. We all enjoy our turn on the lovely swing on the porch. There are several large deck areas where the girls love to play and still be close to the family. From our retreat we take day trips to Santa Fe, Taos, and Red River. There we rent jeeps and climb up to Goose Lake where our daughter and her husband climbed to the top of the mountain while we watched from the beautiful clear lake below. We also watched several mountain sheep climbing up the mountain. Take a day trip through Valle Vidal, a forest above Eagle Nest and Cimarron that has mountains and meadows that rival the Alps. A beautiful place if you can stand the washboard road. Take 1950 from Questa, go halfway and turn around and come back as this area is the prettiest. We saw mule deer in this area. One day travel by steam engine train from Antonito, Colorado to Osier, Colorade. Enjoy a wonderful buffet lunch before returning to Antonito in late afternoon. We saw a lot of wildlife on the trip including a golden eagle. For the young at heart travel to the river between Taos and Santa Fe and spend a half or entire day rafting down the river. Our 5, 6, and 8 year old granddaughters loved rafting for the first time. Lots of hiking trails are in and around the area. But be aware, 7AM one morning my husband and I looked out the den window and saw a black bear ambling across the vacant lot next to our chalet. What a sight!!

We stayed in this Chalet the week of July 11,2010. We could not have ask for a better place to spend a week with our grown sons and their families. Every one of us found plenty of things to do, from hiking to wine tours. The Chalet had everything we needed for a group of six adults, a teenager, a two year old and a four month old. The cribs for the little ones were so handy. This Grandmother cooked in the kitchen and found everything there to fix breakfast and dinner. The table was big enough to fit all of us. We never ran out of hot water. The owners have done a very nice job of thinking of all the things a family need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. If you are looking for a place to spend a cool vacation look no farther you found it. The weather was just warm enough during the day to enjoy being outside and oh so cool at night. This Chalet is just as it looks and every word written about it is the whole truth and more. The beds were so comfortable they were hard to get out of each morning, but with the swing on the deck to enjoy morning coffee it was worth getting up. The two daughters in law want to go back next summer and I am ready to go back now. Thanks for a great time.

We, 2 families of 4 each, stayed in the chalet at the end of July and couldn't have had a better time. Angel Fire is a peaceful and quite relaxing getaway for anyone. The children enjoyed the chalet and all the space allowed for the kids and parents to spend quiet time together or apart. The layout of the chalet is perfect and the view is spectacular. The area is not far from the center of the resort yet it felt as though we were miles away from everything because we never heard more than the rustle of the trees or the hummingbirds chasing one another. Jim and Becky were very easy to arrange our stay with and they were so kind to make sure that there were no problems once we arrived. I know that they love this place and we could tell that they were concerned that we had a great time as though we were family. I highly recommend their chalet to anyone who wants to enjoy their time in Angel Fire, it was most delightful!! Thank you Jim and Becky....we will be back!

We had a great time during our stay at the chalet. It was a great price and just a short drive to the slopes. Becky and Jim were the sweetest people to work with.
