I have done some travel in my life and this is by far the best place I have been to. First, Costa Rica is a lovely and diversified country with friendly people. You will find the best part on the most westerly tip of the country - Santa Teresa; a small, genuine and super cool village along the beach. The right place to stay at on this strip of beach is Papa Pochote - great location, great architecture and truly great people.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed at Papa Pochote for two weeks and had the time of our life, if your coming here to surf or just be close to the nature you wont be disappointed. Our stay on Papa Pochote couldent been better, the garden is big and cowered by big pochote threes and offers you some well needed shade from the sun. If you want to work on the tan just walk thru the gate and your on the beach with surf breaking in front of the property. Big thanks to the owners as well, made us feel welcome and at home. papa p is such a great spot, well placed sort of.. on the beach or just next to it. You will here the waves crushing in when the sun sets.. and the surfers are waiting for the last big one to catch.. The cabins are cosy and enough space for three or more if two can considering to share bed in the smaller room. the street above is full of restaurants and nice places for dinner out, or take away as well. We rented Papa Pochote for 10 days for a girls surf trip and had the best holiday ever. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Since it is located right on the beach so we could check the waves first thing when we woke up in the morning. Great waves right in front! We didnt need to travel around looking for surf spots. There are super markets and restaurants in walking distance. Perfect place.. highly recommend it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

If you are looking for a relaxing tropical getaway with activities and and surfing within arms reach this place is for you. The property is right on the beach. The accommodations are clean and you can hear the waves crashing from your bed. Stores are nearby and your only worry is deciding between a morning yoga class, a full day of surfing, a walk on the beach at sun set or a quiet afternoon in a hammock with a good book. Plus the management is local, friendly and accommodating. I would go back in a heat beat. Great service, beautiful interior design, gorgeous surroundings, cute town. I loved the visit to the waterfall, the nature, surfing and outdoor clubs. The food was great and the healthy, calm lifestyle really inspiring. Really nice place to stay, good staff, good accommodation. Santa theresa is a really beautiful place offering a great lifestyle for most people. I can strongly recommend to stay at Papapochote if you decide to visit Santa Theresa, located right on the beach in front of the best sandbanks in the village.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I was at Papa Pochote for 14 days in February, really great place. Rooms were great, clean, comfortable and cute. The farm is huge, we were 16 surfers staying at Papa Pochote, there are good places to hangout on the farm and at the same time no problem finding spots were you can chill with a good book and the nice sound of waves breaking, in one of many hammock spread out all over the farms garden. Easy walking distance to cafés, restaurants and stores, but why bother, just make your own coffee and walk 30 sec and enjoy it at my new favourite beach Santa Teresa.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

I stayed at Papa Pochote for almost 1 week in January 2010 and it was absolutely fantastic. The fact that you can wake up and have breakfeast outside while watching the monkeys is just a priceless experience. I very much enjoyed the fact that there was a yoga teacher available whenever needed and and she was very good! My best experience was riding on the beach in the sunset, amazing! I can't wait to go back and bring the rest of the family this time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners.
