Shangri-La is a BRAND NEW (2006) gated community in the heart of Marina Vallarta, between Marriott Casamagna and the Melia. As you enter the bright eleventh floor paradise from your private elevator, you will be greeted with an expansive space overlooking the blue ocean and Puerto Vallarta. This well appointed home spans over 2200 square feet with TWO separated OCEANVIEW master bedroom suites. When choosing a Shangri-La 2 or 3 bedroom condo, ensure you know which tower the condo is in. Tower 3 has great views of Puerto Vallarta and the banderas bay for viewing sunsets. Ensure you choose a center unit as they are the largest condos, and the only condos that offer TWO OCEANVIEW bedroom suites and large usable terraces. These center condos do not get the hot afternoon sun.

The magnificent bedrooms are furnished with one KING bed and two QUEEN beds all with five star hotel quality pillow-top mattresses and quality linens and pillows. Each bedroom also has a new television, custom furniture and large walk-in closets with built-in shelving and drawers.

This retreat has polished marble floors throughout, a beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The expansive private balcony is over 500 square feet, directly looking over the largest pool in Marina Vallarta, overseeing the blue ocean, the charming views of Puerto Vallarta, and the lush mountains beyond. Enjoy relaxing on stylish chaise lounges and a quiet dinner under the stars.

The well appointed livingroom boasts new furniture with plenty of seating and a large LCD TV with CD/DVD Player and ceiling stereo speakers. The large dining room table seats 8 for those holiday family gatherings. Enjoy Wi-Fi internet access throughout the condo.

This gated community is directly across from the championship Golf Course with oceanfront holes and the Marina with great shopping and restaurants only steps away.   • WOW! The Ragone Condo at Shargi-La was absolutely FANTASTIC....it was actually paradise! The 11th floor views are incredible and the accomodations/grounds are FIVE star(especially the pool)! This was one of the most memorable vacations we've ever had and we will certainly return to Mike & Katie's perfect vacation home!

  • Mike & Katie your place is immaculate and the view has to be experienced to be believed...The beach was just amazing...I walked to the left and was invited to play beach volleyball at the Marriott right next door...The pool is incredible and I enjoyed it every day letting the minutes fade away while sipping my margarita at the infinity wall...I made it to the gym a couple of times and ran the treadmill overlooking the ocean was wonderful...My favorite time was happy hour on the balcony relaxing with a cocktail before heading out to dinner and listening to "live" bands playing the beach stage at the Marriott... I have decided to make this trip an annual event just a few hours away from the bay area... Muchas Gracias!

  • We just stayed at this property for our 20th anniversary with our three teenaged boys. The unit was immaculate and there was plenty of room for all of us--giving us all privacy when we needed it. The unit is spacious and beautifully decorated. A full-sized laundry and filtered, drinkable water was an added surprise. The view of Banderas Bay from the balcony is absolutely spectacular--we can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The property owners, Mike and Katie, were wonderful to work with. They gave some great recommendations for area restaurants, all of which exceeded our expectations. The property staff were helpful and always available--whether we needed a cab (everything is a 5 - 10 minute cab ride away), information about shopping, or drinks and shade umbrellas at the pool. We would highly recommend a stay at the Ragones' Shangri La property--truly a vacation in paradise!

  • I had the pleasure of staying at the Ragone condominium in early January of 2009. Let me start by stating that the Shangri La is very convenient to the Airport in the beautiful Marina District of Puerto Vallarta (approx. 5 minute cab ride). The Marina district's restaurant's, shops, and tours (fishing charters, whale watching, ...) are a short walk from the Shagri La. The Ragone's condo is located on the 11th floor with a large patio overlooking the pool and bay. Sipping on a cold drink while watching the sun set each evening was a surreal experience. The condo is well appointed with amenities you would expect in a luxury resort hotel. The pool-side restaurant and bar offers a complete menu with prices that are a fraction of the neighboring Marriott resort. The staff at the Shangi La are very attentive to any request that a guest might have. I look forward to my next visit to the Ragone's condo in Pueto Vallarta!

  • We found this property via VRBO and were delighted. Sometimes pictures look better than reality but I must say we were completly impressed. The condo is great, the pool is awesome and grounds and staff excellent. The location is very good.

  • Stayed here with my husband from Nov. 19, 2007 thru Nov. 26, 2007. All I can say is: WOW. The pictures do this condo no justice. It is by far more beautiful than a luxury suite in a six-star resort. Being in the third high-rise and the eleventh floor gives the best views of the beach and pool. The marina is a short walk for restaurants and great shopping. The staff in the lobby will do anything to accommadate you, even calling cabs. If you don't like air conditioning, every room has a huge fan, plus two on the balcony. Every night we were there we saw fireworks. Very few people at the pool, just ask and they will bring you an umbrella. Loved the condo, the Ragone's and the location.

  • We just returned from one of the most relaxing family vacations we have ever had. The Rangone's Shangri-La Condo was the perfect place for a family vacation. The condo itself is spacious, clean, well decorated and appointed with all the luxuries of home. There were huge walk in closets to unpack and stow you bags so you never felt as if you were living out of a suitcase. The view from the condo is beautiful and the huge glass balcony allows you to enjoy it unobstructed. The building and surrounding property is well maintained and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The pool is much nicer then that of the surrounding resort hotels. One end is a gradual walk in pool, the other end is an infinity pool that spills on to the beach. All along the sides are shallow sundecks that allow you to sun while in the water. Or if you are like us and have a small child it is the perfect kids swimming area varying in depth from 6-18 inches. We frequently ate lunch at the poolside restaurant- the prices were great and the food is even better. We usually enjoyed the pool most of the day with only a few other scattered guests. The location of Shangri-La is prime. We walked everywhere to the marina to eat and shop, and to the Marriott and Westin to enjoy the hotel lounges and restaurants. Downtown was a quick cab ride but we actually preferred the Marina over the crowds of downtown. The Rangones are professional and easy to work with. They ensure that you have all the info you need and emergency contact numbers as well. They also made some great restaurant and general travel tips. We visited in the end of September beginning of October which is "rainy" season. It rained one morning- and got cloudy a few afternoons. It was hot though but it really didn't bother me too much by the pool with a frosty cocktail in my hand!

  • Our stay in Shangri La far exceeded any expectations that we had. The Ragone condo is truly like staying in a 5-Star Resort for a 3-Star price. The condo itself is fully equipped with anything that you could possibly need. It was neat, clean, comfortable and luxurious. And the Ragones, were such a pleasure to work with. We were provided with all of the information necessary in advance and given multiple numbers in the event we had a problem. The staff at Shangri La was extremely helpful and very friendly. We spent a few days at the pool and enjoyed a delicious, yet reasonably priced lunch while sunbathing. They also offer spa service on site for 1/2 the cost of what we would normally pay in the US. The onsite gym is also incredible. The front wall is made of glass and allows you to enjoy a 180 degree view of Banderas Bay and the mountains. And if you are interested in leaving the resort, the marina is across the street, downtown is only a 10-15 minute bus or cab ride away, canopy tours are 45 minutes away and if you are really adventurous, you can rent a jeep and be in the mountains within 30 minutes. We went in August which is supposed to be the rainy / hot season. While it was a little hot, the rain was mainly late at night which had no damper on our plans. We had the pool and the city to ourselves which we enjoyed. Another important luxury, is that the Shangri La is a NO TIMESHARE ZONE. After reading Foders and articles online, we were a little worried about the number of timeshare salespersons we might be approached by. Shangri La is private and is therefore not open to anyone but guests. The water in the Ragone condo is filtered which was also a nice surprise as we did not have to purchase bottled water to use at the condo. So in a nutshell, if you like to kick back and relax, have fun, drink some homemade daiquiris from an 11th floor balcony with a 270 degree view of the ocean and mountains or sunbathe by an enormous pool, then the Ragone condo is the place for you!   • Just returned from Spring Break in Puerto Vallarta and it was the best so far! The Ragone's condo was perfect the best view in PV. We loved sitting and watching the cruise ships come and go, and the city lights at night were beautiful! The furnishing were very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We love having all that space by the pool! ( we haved stayed at resorts were we had to run down and reserve our spot by 7AM) We are looking forward to our next visit at the Shangrila!
