What an ideal setting for a family-get-away. In the morning we sat on the deck and watched the hot air balloons take off, deer grazing on the hillside and squirrels and magpies arguing. We spent our days at Deer Creek and Jordanelle Reservoirs water skiing, building sandcastles, lounging, swimming, playing games and riding our water bikes. We cooked our evening meal in the shade on the deck and had plenty of room around the table and the huge kitchen island for everyone. The day was capped off by a dip in the hot tub and marshmallow roasting, Smores, and story telling around the fire pit. The kitchen was well appointed the living and sleeping quarters spacious and comfortable. The owner was more than gracious and accommodating. We will be back.

Fabulous family vacation spot

We rented this cabin to host our Thanksgiving with out of state family were very pleased with the property, plenty of beds and baths for our whole group (10 adults and 6 kids) The kitchen was well equipped and spacious easily accomodated multiple cooks and a large meal. The kids (ages 10-2) loved the bunkroom which had comfy beds for all and plenty of room for them to play in. We also had two babies in our group and the cabin literally had everything we needed for them. The cabin is equipped with two separate tv areas, each with satellite reception, DVD, fireplaces, and comfy sectionals which made for very nice setting to hang out in groups. The basement also has several bedrooms adjacent to its TV area so it would be ideal if there are teenagers in your group. The cabin was very clean and well set up with bedding and towels. I've rented numerous vacation properties before for multi-family groups and its rare to find a place so well layed out and equipped with everything you might need. The hot tub was large enough for 7 of us to be in there at time and we also enjoyed the Zermatt Resort spa which was practically next door. Some of the group went swimming in the hot spring crater at the Homestead resort and had a great time there. Lots of fun things to do nearby and there is a great local market (The Store) just two miles from the property on the main street in Midway. You will definitely need four wheel drive and/or chains to get to the cabin in winter, so plan for that.

Great Place to Gather

The photos don't do it justice. It was perfect for our family reunion because we could all gather in the common area on the ground floor but could still separate using the top and bottom for quiet time. Noise did not carry throughout the house. There's a lovely view that just called you to the deck to enjoy. The house was clean and the linens were in great condition. I would recommend this property to others.

Fabulous site for family reunion - 14 adults and 7 small children

The home was fantastic. We had enough space for all the adults comfortably, and room to play and roam for 7 children. For the smallest, having a room on the main floor within easy listening range, as well as rooms both upstairs and downstairs allowed young parents all the flexibility they needed to take care of their families and still be able to participate in games and visiting. While enjoying the hot tub, there were deer within yards at times. The kitchen and dining area were completely wonderful for dining and some craft activities with the children (very large kitchen bar to sit around). The firepit and area in the back were the site of many squirrel and rabbit sitings, and the deck overlooking Heber Valley was relaxing and beautiful. The owner was wonderful to work with, responding to requests for information immediately and making sure everything was ready for our arrival. Thanks!

This is such a wonderful place to stay. All the comforts of home and a fantastic view. We had several adults and as many kids and this place was very accommodating. We all loved it! Great Home. Owner was great to work with. It made for a great reunion!

PERFECT FAMILY REUNION LOCATION!!!

The home is perfect for family reunions because it has two huge living rooms where everyone can be together, but the bedrooms are split between three levels. This was excellent for our family because then the bedroom areas were all quiet for the babies/kids to take naps without being woken up and provided a little privacy for everyone. They even had a little high chair for the babies to eat. We enjoyed the large hot tub and our huge family all had a seat when it was time for dinner. Wi-fi was a nice add-on since I had to do some work while there. We buried a time capsul, played baseball in the midway park, went hiking, shopped in Park City, roasted marshmallows in the backyard, and rested in the GORGEOUS home. We even saw deer each night looking off the large front deck onto the city. The house is set in a little cabin neighborhood with lots of privacy for each home. The mountains and pine trees were so restful and you just wouldn't believe the sunrise off the porch looking over the valley. I can honestly say that this was the perfect property and the owner was very accommodating. After a HORRIBLE experience with a big company (Utah's Best Vacation Rentals) where they canceled on us the day before our family reunion, we frantically called on this property to try and rent it last minute. The owner was very kind to us and truly wanted us to have a good time. He even called back several times to help us with questions and make sure the stay was working out for us. This was the PERFECT LOCATION. We'll be coming back.

Fabulous Family Reunion House

We had a wonderful time at this fabulous mountain home in Midway. What a beautiful place and so nicely decorated. It was perfect for our family of 21. Location and setting were likewise perfect. Weather was wonderful. Views from the front porch so peaceful and at night with the moon rising made for a wonderful peaceful evening. Great place to gather and talk and enjoy one another's company. The whole week was ideal for our family to come together and enjoy this beautiful mountain retreat. The owners were VERY helpful and accomodating to all of our needs. The grandkids had a ball - especially in the hot tub and making smores in the firepit. Lots of great memories were made. We loved it.. Joel

Youth Group Home Base

We used this home as our home base for a faith-based youth retreat. The owner was outstanding to work with and very accommodating. We had a professional chef among our adult chaperones and he raved about the kitchen and also used the grill on the front deck. Only one small problem with the effectiveness of the freezer. Other than that all went well. Many of the youth (14-18) spent any free time playing with the Foosball table. It was a hit!

2010 Review

This home had a few issues while we were there, but the service was outstanding. The hot tub was out of commission after 2 days for us, which was a drag considering we were on a ski trip:( The owner was very friendly, understanding and respectful of this inconvenience however and gave us a credit for that. The other issues were minor, like low soap in bathrooms, missing game pieces and broken darts, I would assume these things would be handled for future guests:) The view is amazing! The island in the kitchen was gorgeous. There is plenty of space for cooking and eating with a group! The bedrooms were all very comfortable. The location is good, in the middle of quite a bit. A cute town just down the road if you want to stay close, and only about 20-30 minutes away from the larger areas and a few lovely ski resorts. The level of customer service from the homeowner was excellent. Accommodated our group, responded to emails, calls with questions while we were vacationing, gave suggestions on where to go, etc. And remember, they tell you to get 4WD for a reason, awesome to be up, up, and away, but you would get stuck without it, so be sure to listen to them! Thank you for a good vacation:)

Beautiful Cabin! The owner is great to work with. I held a business retreat here and everyone loved it. I highly recommend this cabin and I plan on coming back soon.
