Welcome to luxury living at Bella Lago at Bay Beach. Bella Lago is a brand new Mediterranean style condominium overlooking a lake view with fountain and golf course. The second floor luxury condominium is at the up-scale south end of Fort Myers Beach and just steps away from the sandy beach, large heated pool, hot tub, fitness center and club house.
The unit has new furnishings done in Tommy Bahama style to make you feel warm and welcome. There is ceramic tile throughout the living area with carpet in the bedrooms. The master bedroom features a queen size bed, walk-in closet and TV armoire. The large bathroom has double sinks and a walk-in tiled shower with 'rain' shower head and bench. The guest bedroom has twin beds and a separate bathroom with bath or shower. This area can also be closed off for privacy by using the pocket door. This is perfect for families or couples traveling together. There is also a queen sofa sleeper for additional space if needed.
The unit is filled with amenities to make your stay comfortable. There is a breakfast nook to enjoy the 'peek a boo' beach view. The kitchen is fully equipped with new GE appliances, dinnerware, cookware, glasses and cooking utensils. The living and dining areas are tastefully decorated in island style. The living room has a large entertainment center with TV and DVD player/VCR for your enjoyment. A full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board are located in the unit as well as all linens. Sit out on the lanai, enjoy the fountain-sprayed lake view and watch the blue herons and egrets fish for their dinner. The unit also includes beach towels, beach chairs, pool floats and an ice cooler to make days at the beach fun!
Located steps away is a public golf course, tennis courts, fishing pier and walking paths. The Gulf of Mexico is a short walk across the street to our private beach access where you can take morning or evening strolls along the sandy white beaches. The sunsets from the beach are awesome! Great dining, shopping and a marina with boat rentals are nearby as well. There is a trolley that will take you to Times Square (the happening place on the beach) or over to Lover's Key State Park for 25 cents.
Bella Lago is a four-story building with 12 units per building and is only accessible with a security code. The building is furnished with an elevator and covered parking garage. A large private storage unit in the garage holds the beach chairs and other beach amenities. A no smoking, no pet policy has been implemented for the health and comfort of all our guests.

This was our first stay on Fort Myers Beach although we have previously rented condos on Marco and Anna Maria Islands in Florida, as well as California. the listing was accurate: the condo is bright, clean and spacious, we especially liked the large balcony. The complex was attractive with a large pool and lots of lounger beds and it was very well maintained. We were there during November and the complex was pretty quiet, which is how we like it! There is a small gym in one of the buildings which would meet the needs of all but the most fanatical fitness enthusiasts. The beach is right across the street and is fabulous. There is an abundance of birdlife and we also saw a dolphin just offshore. The condo has beach chairs and inflatable matresses. The location, at the southern end of the island was ideal for us as it was quiet but there were restaurants within walking distance. We particularly liked Charley's Boat House, The Fish House, Skye's Mexican and South Beach Grill(e?). There is a Publix about 2 miles north and a CVS within walking distance. Most of the "Action" is at the north end of the island, by the pier. This is about 6 miles away. We particularly liked Nervous Nellies there. A trolley runs back and forth but the frequency outside the peak season is diminished. Getting on and off the Island could be a problem in high season but that goes for anywhere I guess. There are plenty of attractions which I'm sure visitors will have researched for themselves but please don't miss Naples Botanical Gardens. Birdlovers should take in Corkscrew Swamp(Audubon) ,Ding Darling on Santini and Six Mile Cypress reserve. We would unhesitatingly recommend this condo to anyone (except perhaps a bunch of teenagers holydaying alone!)
