Welcome to Devon Hills Lodge, a unique country retreat offering luxury accommodation overlooking Dartmoor & the Devon Hills. Set within an 850 acre working organic farm on a beautiful estate in Devon, Devon Hills Lodge offers exclusive hire for groups of up to 28 in three houses on the estate - the lodge, the coach house and the cottage.
Enjoy our award winning organic food and explore the many local attractions. including a fantastic country pub - The Clovelly Inn that offers home cooked food using local produce. We recommend you pre-book as they get very busy!
The house is set an idyllic rural setting with peace & tranquillity, stunning scenery, comfort and luxury, crisp white linen, fluffy white towels & soft beds. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax.
The Lodge, Sleeps 16
The house comprises of 8 bedrooms all with their own bathroom. The style is elegant and understated being simple, clean and uncluttered. Each room has stunning views towards Dartmoor or over the fields and orchards of the estate.
The games room and bar provide the ideal area to relax and enjoy a game of pool, cards or one of the many board games available. Alternatively you can chill out with a drink on one of our comfortable sofas and peruse a magazine or read a book. If the weather is good you might stroll out to the terrace to enjoy the evening sun and take in the fantastic views.
The Cottage, Sleeps 4
The cottage nestles in the courtyard next to the Lodge. The accommodation is appointed to a high standard and well equipped for self catering, with most facilities on the ground floor offering easy access from the parking area. The open plan ground floor living area has a cosy lounge & dining table with a small yet practical kitchen. A large TV/DVD & CD player is provided with books, films and CDs to choose from.
The ground floor also has a master bedroom with comfortable double bed and a lovely outlook across to Dartmoor. There's a family sized bathroom and stairs leading to a mezzanine floor with two single beds.
Patio doors open out onto decking and the garden that overlooks Dartmoor, where guests can wander and enjoy the plants, flowers and wild birds that visit our large pond - perfect for photographers and artists.
The Coach House, Sleeps 8
The Coach House is set in an attractive courtyard of old stone buildings in the grounds of the Manor House. The luxury accommodation has 2 double bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) and 1 twin room that can sleep 2 or 4 guests in single beds. There's a family sized bathroom and fully equipped kitchen with an elegant and spacious dining area. The living room has 4 comfortable sofas and a large TV/DVD player.
Outside, to the rear of the Coach House, guests can enjoy their own sheltered, private courtyard. At the front there is ample parking and easy access onto a public footpath which winds across lovely farmland to the village pub.
Outside in the 850 acre estate a small stream meanders through the pretty shrubs to a natural pond that is a magnet for birds. To the rear of the Lodge is a large well-furnished dining terrace, surrounded by flower pots where you will enjoy al fresco meals!
Wedding Venue
If you are looking for absolute exclusivity then there is no need to look any further – the property is situated along a mile long lane surrounded by 850 acres of organic parkland overlooking the rolling hills of Dartmoor.
We have the choice of three idyllic settings for your special day:
- Our large natural gardens can accommodate marquees with the additional use of the Lodge for extra comfort.
- For smaller intimate receptions you can have exclusive hire of the Lodge or our converted Napoleonic barn.
- To the back of the Lodge there is a large furnished terrace, surrounded by seasonal flowers overlooking Dartmoor and the Estate presenting the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs!
Our highly awarded chef can provide exceptional, locally sourced seasonal menus.
