We were two families staying with 3 kids in each family. The house was perfect for us as not only did each kid have his or her own bed, but they had their own fun living area too. Maggie takes emaculate care of the property and I loved that she gave instructions for each guest to help keep the home in tip top shape. Her communication was outstanding both before and during the trip. She even passed along great specials, recommendations, and savings tips for our stay. We definitely used the free parking pass which was wonderful, but even on the days we needed two cars, it was very easy to park at the gondola to ride over to the ski area for free. On our last night, we received quite a dumping of snow, and it was impossible to get out of the driveway without four-wheeled drive, but of course Maggie had ice melt in the garage, and thirty minutes later we were out. The house in in close proximity to the ski area, but not really within walking distance if you are walking in the snow with ski equipment. It would be a beautiful walk in the non snowy season, but I walked it one day with my ski gear and it ended up being nearly a mile through deep banks and I am in excellent shape. Just FYI. Needless to say, the accommodations are outstanding with every amenity you could ever need. Thanks again. We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Jara & Brock, Thank you for the wonderfully detailed review. I am thrilled to hear the accommodations/bedroom layout worked well. The town home indeed is perfect for two families and really that "escape second living room" makes all the difference to enjoy times together and apart! Oh my, my instructions....I think I do them for myself as much as for my guests. When we've traveled as a family, I have wished many a times someone would be specific, give helpful hints and details so when I'm vacationing I don't have to think about what's expected for check out, where things are or where they go etc.... I love giving my recommendations....nothing better than getting a locals opinions! WOW, you were blessed with fabulous POW! Yikes, thats why I always recommend if you are travelling in the mountains you need a 4wheel drive for sure! Glad you found the salt. The town home is walking distance to the base, but you are right...I wouldn't suggest it if you are wearing your ski equipment. There are lockers at the base for rent to store your belongings. But all the more reason having the parking pass that we provide for the covered garage at no charge (normally a $20.00 a day fee) is such a great deal! We look forward to your return!

This condo is everything you could ask for - Plenty of room for our large family, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally well prepared for guests. We had quite a bit of snow, but Lakota crews had it cleared in no time. The owner was so nice to work with -We had a wonderful time, and highly recommend this condo!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the nice comments. The town home has such a great layout and is one of only two in Lakota on the rental market like that. It makes it so nice to have a whole separate floor with another full living room for the kids to escape...or adults that want to watch sports in one room and the food channel in another! We hope if you visit the Rockies again, you'll consider being our guests again.

For over 25 years, I have been planning ski trips for a group of guys. This property was the best we have found to date. Enough individual beds for 9, close to the slopes, great amenities, beautiful property and a very helpful owner. Cooking facilities were top of the line. It also would be an excellent choice for families. Winter Park is a first rate mountain for skiers of all levels and Mary Jane ranks with the best of the great western venues for those looking for steep and deep challenges. Azteca restaurant in Frasier should not be missed for those liking authentic Mexican food.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the stellar review. We would only provide what our expectations are when we travel. Winter Park is a very special place and so convenient to get to from Denver. Our restaurants are terrific and I'm thrilled you enjoyed one of the many I suggested! We look forward to your return and don't wait too long to book.

A fabulous condo. This condo is very well maintained. Carpets are clean and the couches were comfortable. The kitchen has a full set of pots and pans with all the dishes and dinnerware one could ever need. We also enjoyed having the large gas grill to cook our steaks! Hand cream is provided in each bathroom with plenty of kleenex in each room. The private hot tub is just a walk out on the patio with a beautiful view of the mountain. The parking pass was a nice addition to the list of extras in this condo. We also enjoyed tubing, snow mobile riding over the Continental Divide and lets not forget the pizza at Hernandos. I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This condo is beautiful! Only a short 5 minute drive to the slopes. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked, the hot tub was clean and hot, the bedding was luxurious, the decorating looked professional, and the view out of the living room window is amazing. It is obvious that the owners take excellent care of this place and want their guests to have a great experience. Maggie was wonderful to work with and the whole check in/check out process was easy. We will definitely return and highly recommend this beautiful town home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for being such wonderful guests. We love our location with the best view of the mountain & a short walk or an easy hop in your car....not to mention the ability to use our season parking pass for the covered garage @ the base @ no fee to you! One of my favorite things to do is to cook for my family & friends, so why not offer a full stocked kitchen! We will look forward to your return.

This is a prime unit in the Lakota residential area! The owners have thought of everything and take excellent care of the property - this condo has everything you need and then some! We had two families with 5 kids (12 and under) and would highly recommend this property for vacationing families. An excellent view of the slopes from the dining room table, gets everyone ready for the day ahead. We loved having two master suites - and the kids enjoyed have the whole basement level to themselves. If you are looking in Lakota, definitely snap this one up. Having a parking pass is key! We'll definitely be coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful ski vacation. Not only was the condo a beautiful home and very comfortable, it really felt like visiting someone's home. Beautiful furnishings, decor and so close to the ski area. The view of the ski area is breathtaking from most every window. We appreciated the close attention to the details that welcomed us into their home. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and it was nice to be welcomed by wine and cold beer in the fridge. The extra living room area was great for the kids to play and watch their tv shows. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and great communication before and after the stay! We would definitely recommend to our friends and family.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our group has been getting together for several years now, we have visited Breckenridge, J-Hole, and Steamboat. Steamboat had been the resort of choice thanks to the powder skiing and nice night life. This year several of the "bosses" requested a change of scenery and we all decided on Winter Park. Our decision could not have been more perfect! We were greeted every morning to a bright, picture perfect Colorado sunrise overlooking the resort! Our accomodations were top notch, the Owner's do a great job providing the travelers with everything that they need to have a worry free, fun filled vacation! Being within a short walk of the main lift ensures that every morning the skiers are ready to roll; for those late risers the indoor parking pass is so convenient! The quaint downtown allowed the girls to have several spa days with massages and nice nails for all! Between Mary Jane, Winter Park, and Vasquez Ridge the guys had almost more skiing than they could handle. Almost being the key word! This was such a great trip and we will be returning customers for sure! Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Steve & I met in college, married, careers, children- the all american family thing...we have enjoyed working hard, taking risks & invest some of our success in real estate. We enjoy skiing & especially enjoy the incredible summers in CO. If you enjoy the beach, we invite you to visit our Hilton Head Island Villa in Sea Pines Plantation...our other paradise....just find the link on this page.
Why the Owner Chose Lakota:
After my husband & I had spent numerous ski vacations with our family @ destination ski resorts we followed the advice of local coloradians....'Before you buy, look @ Winter Park'. We did....& haven't looked back. Winter Park is a small friendly town with a World Class Resort! We purchased our town home because we are walking distance to the resort and we have a $1M VIEW....we couldn't find the same high quality or type anywhere else!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
