This beautiful beach front property is located in Palm Beach on the West End of Galveston. Vista Grande is on the beach front and has the largest unobstructed view on West Beach. This property is a great place for families or couples looking for a weekend, week, or month to relax.
After having fun on the beach all day, you can relax on the deck and watch the beautiful Gulf of Mexico directly in front of you on a spacious deck. We have a charcoal BBQ pit to cook the days catch. In the evening, take a dip in the hot tub right on the deck and sip champagne, enjoy the stars and relaxing ocean breezes. If a movie is in order, we have TVs with DVDs,VCRs, and satellite cable. This makes for great entertainment for the kids while the parents relax on the front deck.

My family and I have stayed here twice, the first time it was great, the second was terrible. First of all the ant problem was out of control, I had to carry my kids to the beach due to the countless ants around the property. When we checked in there was sand in the hottub and sand in two of the beds. A poster above mentioned the greese around the sliding door........AMEN to that, it got all over our stuff. The maid had left the hot tub pump thing out and we actually got a call from the owner that week asking us if we had gotten it out.....I guess the help was spying on us. The location is great and the house (besides the sand in beds, hot tub, and greese) was clean and stocked. The kids had a great time, minus the ant bites, and the weather was perfect.
Owner response:Renters left our house in terrible condition. Everything from broken garbage cans ,cigarette butts left all over ,and completely trashing the hot tub. We never heard from them during their stay ,so it must not of been that bad of a vacation. I also find it interesting that they posted this review 5 months after staying there. ????

The worst part of this house is having to leave. Its always fun to see what is new from last years visit. The owner texted me that we got our deposit back 4 hours after we left! Will be back next year. It was the perfect end to the year as hubby had just returned from his final trip to Iraq. God Bless Vista Grande!

Great location, great views of the beach and easy access to City of Galveston, the beach, etc. Furniture and fixtures could use a little upgrading if intending to have renters over for more than a weekend, but for the price, location and size, great value.
Owner response:We put new sofas in our unit this year. We will look at the fixtures and see if they need upgrade. For our price structure , our furniture is appropriate.

We cannot wait to return for our December trip. We did get our full refund on the cleaning last year. I do agree with the pictures not doing it justice. But my point is they arent as spectacular as the real thing. We had 2 beach trips this year to Florida but hubby and I are more than ready to get back to our Galveston beach rental! I dont personally know the owner, nor have I been face to face with him but this is a sweet place to rent.

House is not as nice a pics. Doors didn't close properly and sliding door was so heavily greased that it got on our feet and shoes as well as matt which we were blamed for. Don't expect cleaning deposit back no matter what you do. We spent hours cleaning to no avail. Should have just left it dirty. Homeowner doesn't allow you to park under house so be prepared to have lots of bird poop on your car. Would NOT recommend to anyone!
Owner response:House needs to be as clean as when she arrived to get clean deposit back. It was not even close. This is stated in the rental agreement. Also she left lots of sand in the hot tub and I had to pay extra to have it drained and completely filled. My cleaning person had to come back the next day . She also left dr pepper cans all over yard. We pride ourselves in being extremely responsive. We tell all our clients to immediately call us if something is not working. We never heard from her concerning anything that was broken.

This home is about as close to the beach as you can get. It had everything we needed inside and out. We had such a great time. Highly recommended!
