BEAUTIFUL TOWNHOME - LUXURY, PRESTIGE and RESORT AMENITIES!

Our Villa, Hale Ohana, welcomes you to the Big Island! In a private corner of the complex, you will have a chance to relax and enjoy the best the Big Island has to offer. Waikoloa Colony Villas is a private gated community of luxury townhomes on the South Kohala Coast within the world-renown Waikoloa Beach Resort; the sun shines an average of 350 days/year, rainfall is nine inches/year with an average year-round temperature of 75 degrees. The prestigious Hilton Waikoloa and Waikoloa Marriott Resort are just steps away.

The complex offers ample guest parking, landscaped courtyards, a clubhouse and exercise room. The two-story units are side-by-side; our end unit offers you amazing privacy with no shared common walls to your neighbors. Our Villa has two bedrooms and two baths, totaling over 1200 square feet plus lanais--perfect for families vacationing, couples traveling together or honeymooners.

Casual and Comfortable Decor - Our Villa combines casual yet upscale furniture with an island flavor and whimsical touches. There are warm inviting colors in the living and dining area downstairs. The kitchen has European cabinetry and granite counter tops. Ceiling fans in the living area, as well as in the bedrooms, help keep the pacific breezes moving, or on those really tropical days use the air-conditioning.

The dramatic 17-foot vaulted ceiling in the living area accentuates the ceiling-high windows that looks out on the lava flow with the Mauna Lanai golf course and ocean beyond. Nine-foot ceilings provide an airy feeling throughout the Villa. For entertainment we offer a TV in the Great Room. See our amenities listed below.

Our kitchen is open to the dining and living area and invites everyone to enjoy your gourmet efforts in a well-appointed kitchen. You will find fresh ingredients at the Kona Farmers’ Market year-round in Kailua-Kona on Saturday's and Sunday's. The Master Bedroom is upstairs and has a luxurious king-sized bed waiting for you. The upstairs lanai provides you with a distant ocean view. The lovely tones of the room continue to help you relax. The master bath features marble counters, twin sinks, a soaking tub and separate shower, and walk-in closet.

Separated from the living area on the main floor, the second bedroom affords great privacy. There is a queen bed with accommodations for an additional guest, and a bath with tub and shower.

There are differences! When you rent a unit, you may not get all you want. Our unit provides you with Internet Access along with full standard cable including ESPN, Disney Channel, etc. We offer a television in the master bedroom and the family room. We have fans in each bedroom AND in the family room to stir the tropical breezes, as well as a stereo radio/CD player (we only have a few CD's available, though). Available for your use are: beach equipment, boogie boards, ice cooler, beach chairs, games, and books.

Activities: Two Pools, Spa, Golf, Tennis, Ocean Sports, and More.

When staying in our Villa you are just steps away from the tennis court or the air-conditioned fitness center. The pool with a lava rock waterfall and Jacuzzi-type spa is right next door and is pictured below. Two golf courses are available at the Waikoloa Beach Resort; the Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and the King’s Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf.

Several other world-class golf courses are nearby, including: the Mauna Lani course, host of many past Senior Skins Games with its signature over-the-water 15th hole; the Mauna Kea (a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course); and Hapuna Beach designed by Arnold Palmer. The public beach at Anaeho’omalu Bay or "A-Bay" winds you through beautiful native fauna and past ancient royal fishponds

Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Colony Villas

We chose the Waikoloa Colony Villas because of the residential feel of this complex. The units are not stacked on top of each other and the entire complex sits on 22 acres--the landscaping is amazing. The Villas are designed so that they do not share common walls except at the garages.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

With two pools (there is a toddler pool as well), a tennis court, walking paths, exercise room, and meeting room, the Waikoloa Colony Villas is a wonderful complex for families, couples, singles, young and old. The complex is very new and is close to the Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace of the Waikoloa Resort. We also liked the proximity to many of the Top Ten Beaches of the World from the Travel Channel's selection!

A
Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay)

Great Beach for sunning, snorkeling, water sports

B
Kings' Shops

Dining, shopping, gasoline

C
Queens' Marketplace

Dining, shopping, food court, concert venue, entertainment, luaus

D
Hilton Waikoloa Beach Resort

Dolphin Quest Experience, lagoons, slides, a fun day experience

Owner's Map of Waikoloa Colony Villas

We live in California, but love to travel to the Big Island atleast twice a year, and we have loved having our Villa, Hale Ohana, to share our home-away-from-home with others! We enjoy the variety of beaches on the Big Island and cannot get enough of exploring new places and hidden beaches.

A Tiny Snafu Turns into Fantastic Vacation?? INDEED!

Guest: The Tourist "Wannabe"s (Ferndale, WA USA)
Date of Stay: 10/04/11 Review Submitted: 12/05/11

Aloha Amy! Thank you for ALL that you have done for us in lieu of a tiny “snafu”. My Husband & I were very impressed how quickly you responded and flexible you were with “fixing” and “making up” for the tiny “snafu”. We also appreciate your willingness to accommodate us (which we found to be VERY generous) for any inconvenience we might have experienced. In the irony of the tiny “snafu” is that we had a really nice time getting to know and visiting with 2 very wonderful locals (whose gift is hospitality!). They showered us with many “comps” or “pickles” (in Hilton-eese) and treated us like Royalty! Also, the night before we left, we got the chance to meet with them for cocktails and a very nice visit. We couldn’t have asked for a finer people to get to know. We really were pleasantly surprised with how fully stocked your condo was with all the little details of what a house-hold needs. We were impressed to find plenty of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, matts, snorkel gear, tennis & pool gear...etc for us to use. We also appreciated all the current literature on local attractions and amenities. Amy, please know, because of your generosity and our experience, my Husband & I have told this story to many people and they all agreed that they would love to stay at a condo whose owner was as concerned about their client’s experience as you do. As for the future, in renting from you again, we agreed that we were very happy with your condo, accommodations & location of the condo and that we would indeed love to stay there again and refer clients to you as much as we could. Take care Amy and a warm mahalo~ Juan & Bobbi

Beautiful Vacation Home in Waikoloa Colony Villas

Guest: Tammy (Folsom, CA)
Date of Stay: 09/26/11 Review Submitted: 10/05/11

Beautiful vacation home - located in a very peaceful and tranquil setting. Perfect for couples and families alike. The townhouse is very spacious, clean and well appointed. You can definitely feel at home here. Waikoloa is a great location to make your home base on the Big Island; as there are many activities on the Kohalo Coast. Drive to the Hilo side was approximately 2 hours. We loved coming home after a long day of play and having the ability to cook our own meals. Many services near by including a couple great gourmet grocery stores; where the locally grown produce was outstanding.

Amy, I want to thank you for allowing my family to stay in your wonderful condo at the Colony. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our time on the Big Island. I could not believe how many toys and beach supplies you had here! I definitely would recommend this place to families with small children and would stay here again.

Amazing adventure

Guest: Mauna Kea Beach (Castro Valley, CA)
Date of Stay: 06/18/10 Review Submitted: 07/02/10

That was the most enjoyable stay we've ever experienced! A spacious, clean townhouse with vaulted ceiling! Owners take very good care about guests (very well stocked and maintained), it was a great adventure to live and enjoy our vacations! Highly recommended! Thing to do: 1) Mauna Kea Beach (top ten in US) - tell guard you want to access public beach in the Resort 2) Pololu Valley - walk down 400 feet cliff to access black sand beach 3) A-bay - swimming with the turtles 4) Kahalu'u Beach - swimming with the fishes 5) Akaka Falls - 420 feet drop 6) Kilauea Caldera - active volcano!!! 7) Thurston Lava Tube - tunnel under the rocks (bring your flashlight to travel UNLIGHTED part!) 8) Whats Shakin' - best smoothie near Hilo! 9) Marble Slab - ice cream for kids in Waikoloa Resort! 10) Coming back to mainland - priceless!

Owner response:thank you

A Fabulous Property

Guest: Gord & Cheryl (Winnipeg, Canada)
Date of Stay: 03/27/10 Review Submitted: 04/23/10

A perfect place to stay while visiting the Big Island. The condo is very well equipped -- beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers with ice packs (we used them every day!) books, games, spices, pots, pans, dishes and glasses (including wine glasses). This has to be the quietest location we have stayed in and everyone was very friendly. There are two pools,a hot tub and a great exercise room which were never crowded. This was our first time renting from VRBO and we hope everyone is as organized as Amy. She answered our questions promptly and gave us great directions - everything was exactly as she said and we had no problem finding the unit. We also appreciated her letting us know about the area (Kings & Queen's Maketplace) which you can walk to from the condo and that there was a Costco (cheapest place for gas). The Big Island is a paradise but staying here just completed our wonderful holiday. Thank again,Amy - we will be back.

Owner response:thank you!

Guest: The McCarthys (Tranquility, NJ)
Date of Stay: 09/06/09 Review Submitted: 09/06/09

We made a very last minute reservation using VRBO and were extremely pleased with the results. The townhouse was as advertised and more. It had everything we could ever need to enjoy a stay on the Big Island. It was very thoughtful of the owners to provide items like boogie boards, a cooler, beach chairs and umbrella. The interior was perfect, comfortable, clean and well stocked. The location was also perfect and peaceful. It was very direct to get to all of the Waikoloa Beach amenities. Thanks to the owners the reservation and check in process were simple and easy to follow. Thank you Amy. We would definately stay again.

Owner response:Mahalo!

We stayed for 3 nights (7/11-7/14/09)in your beautiful home. This was our first visit to the Big Island and we had a blast!Your place is so comfortable, spacious and well stocked. We saved a lot of money by being able to cook some of our meals.Internet access, free parking all added up to a lot of savings. At the resort,we would have paid for these. There are so many things to do but sometimes,we just wanted to take it easy, sit outside and enjoy our family time, not doing anything. We loved going to A beach. Thanks for letting us use your cooler, mats & towels. We would recommend your place to our friends & family. We hope to go back in 2 years.Mahalo!
