A modern, two-bedroom, sea-view apartment on the fifth floor of a 1920's Palace with stunning views of the Mediterranean, located in the centre of Menton yet within a few metres of the sea front and the casino. This is an opportunity to enjoy a first-rate holiday without the need for a car because in addition to Menton's own charm, the local bus and rail facilities are readily available and Monte Carlo is just ten minutes by rail.
This smart up to date 800sq ft property is accessed by lift to the fifth floor and has two twin bedrooms, two shower rooms each with toilet, and a living room with kitchen/dining area. The seating area has access to a small balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. The mountains to the rear of the property can be seen from the bedroom windows.
The minimum let is one week with additional days on a pro-rata basis and start/finish day is fully flexible (except no Sundays) to assist with cost and travel arrangements.

Why the Owner Chose Menton
We settled on Menton, a small French town located on the French Riviera not far from Monaco and close to the Italian border. Menton enjoys it's own micro climate with the mountains rising to the rear and facing immediately onto the Mediterranean. This small French community enjoys excellent weather and it's usually very enjoyable to realax in the warm sun year round.

We enjoy: The wonderful climate: The relaxed & friendly hospitality in Menton: The range of local bars & restaurants, especially dining under a sun umbrella along the promenade: The first rate local markets: Swimming, gardens & walking. The occasional flutter in the evening in the Casino which incidentally boasts a very good 10 euro set menu in their restaurant.

We own & run a substantial equestrian centre in the UK so life is fairly active. We like to holiday in Europe and some years ago we purchased a property in Tuscany in Italy. This is great but due to the cold winter climate we decided to look for another location where we could enjoy the climate year round.

Peter, What a super flat you have in Menton. That it runs the width of the building is particularly attractive as one can create a through draft in the hot weather. The view is great and there was always something to watch in the gardens below. The Agents were charming and helpful as was the Concierge.

Hi Peter Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed staying at Palais Ausonia. The best of the apartments we've stayed at over the years. Perfect weather and a much needed rest. It's so good to go somewhere where you don't have to be a tourist and can just relax.

Peter, We are finding the apartment very comfortable, and it is perfectly located. I am overwhelmed by the number of patisseries and restaurants just steps away. It is a bonus to have all the modern conveniences in a beautiful building with such a historic feel. And being so high above the street gives it a better view and less noise. I am beginning to think that there could be no better place to while away a month or two every year for the rest of our lives, even if we searched the world over. Lucky you!
