The entire villa and building has just been refurbished inside and out, with new kitchen and laundry appliances, upholstered furniture, bed covers and drapes, and now includes FREE Broadband Wi-Fi Internet access in the villa and hotel lobby. HD Cable TV in the villa, including HDTV for the LCD HD TV in the great room.
Play golf at your choice of three Port Royal courses or 27 holes at Shipyard. The greens fees are included for four daily, although a cart fee (about $37) is required for each player. You can also play with $20 extra fee at Palmetto Hall and Oyster Reef. Play tennis free (one hour per day for four) at Port Royal Racquet Club within Ocean Palms, which boasts 16 courts and is the only club on Hilton Head with grass, clay, and hard-surfaced courts. Take a morning walk or bike ride on the 12-mile open beach, then spend the afternoon at either one of the two pools or hot tub at Ocean Palms, the two whirlpool tubs in your villa or lounge around the three indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub or beach at the Westin Resort. Work out at the Westin health club, then relax in the steam room or sauna (all included). I just spent my third week at 808 Ocean Palms in the past year. This is one of my favorite places that I've had the pleasure to stay in 20 years of vacationing in HHI. The unit is clean and fresh and everything works as it should. The facilities available for use at the Westin and the golf package make this a great deal. It's too far from the beach to walk there easilly but a shuttle will come and pick you up promptly when you're ready to go to the hotel or beach. I'd highly recommend it for a golf vacation with your buddies or a get away for a couple or two who just want to enjoy the island. My only minor change in the unit would be to put larger televisions in the bedrooms and possibly in the living area.

The two weeks in late May, early June were fantastic at this condo. Everything is modern and the furnishings are very nice. If you golf, the deal at the Heritage courses(Port Royal, Shipyard, Oyster Reef; and both Palmetto Hall courses) is very good. You can save about $30 a day on average for one round. The concierge at the Westin coordinated all the tee times and they treated me like a king. Every little change of tee time was accomodated without fuss. It's a bit far to walk to the Westin but the shuttle was there within five minutes every time I called. The Westin facilities are a great addition to this unit. The pool and beach are fantastic and the exercise room is very nice. I used the screened in porch to watch turtles swim in the lagoon just below the deck. It was my first time in Port Royal and I've already scheduled another trip next year.

We've stayed in this unit three times now and won't consider anyplace else in Hilton Head. The unit is spacious and comfortable for our family of five or 4-6 adults. Ocean Palms offers the privacy of a condo community and also the amenities of the Westin Resort. The beach, pools (on-site and at the Westin), spa/workout facility, golf, tennis, bike trails, and local shopping/dining are all easily accessible. Condo management is responsive if needed.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is very quiet, lush and tropical, close to the beach, and safe. We enjoyed the golf and tennis, and access to the amenities at the Westin. The unit itself was very comfortable and well maintained.
