Owner's Map of Crescent Beach
I became a Realtor in 1996 and was top agent in my office for over 10 years. Prior to becoming a Realtor I was struggling financially as a single mom. I have always loved St.Augustine and the beach. I bought my first home in 1996 with my first big commission and rented it by the month. In 2003 I began buying homes for vacation rentals. I loved decorating them and making them perfect in every way for my guests. I had such great success, I bought more, decorated them, installed pools and made them beautiful. I now own five upscale quality vacation rental homes. They all are very well stocked with quality furnishings. I am very involved with my homes and take great pride in them. They are all well kept and lovely.

We have stayed in several VRBO homes across the country, and this was one of the best! Donna's description and photos are true to life, and there are extras like sand toys, baby stuff and pool floats/toys. Everything was super clean, new appliances, plenty of towels and beach towels. I was worried that not being 'beach front' was a drawback, but the inter-coastal waterfront was so cool - the view was always changing as the tides went out and the sailboats and kayakers gliding by were fun to watch from the porches, pool or walls of sliding glass windows/doors. The beach itself was just a short walk away - go past a couple of houses, cross the road and the walkway is right there. Or there are places nearby to park, or even drive onto the beach. Donna called and stopped by the first morning to check on us and was available for any needs that might have arisen. We hosted a family reunion at the house and had plenty of cookware and seating with the extra table and chairs, and all the outdoor picnic tables. The hot tub and pool were spotless, and warm enough to use even in December. Having 2 bedrooms with both a queen and twin bed in them can be good for families with younger kids. The top bunk in the downstairs den is more rustic and a little tricky to climb into. The neighborhood was very quiet, the wireless internet and cable tv worked perfectly. There are 2 large grocery stores 7-10 minutes away and many chain and local restaurants nearby. All in all, we had a great time and would recommend this luxury waterfront home very highly.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate it. Most of all... I am so happy that you all had a great time and enjoyed your vacation home.

We absolutely LOVED this house. We stayed for 8 days and even held our wedding rehearsal dinner there. It was amazing. The neighbors were awesome the entire time! Panoramic views from the back are incredible. The pool and hot tub were awesome. We used them every day, along with the outdoor shower. We were able to bring our jet skis and use the personal ramp for loading and unloading. We also got great use from the private fishing pier! Loved having breakfast in the kitchen and seeing all beautiful views from the second level throughout the day. We spent a lot of time sitting out back and watching all the boats go by. The kids loved the play room and the adults enjoyed the piano. We will definitely be back for another trip and hopefully have a chance reserve this house again! Donna always does an excellent job of decorating her homes with high end furniture and quality detail. She also keeps her homes well maintained and overly stocked. Every room in this house is gorgeous! Having two master suites was so helpful! Thanks again for the wonderful memories!

This Home was amazing !!! We rented this home for a weeks vacation as well as , Had a rehearsal dinner there for 70 people on Friday night for my Son and Daughter-in-law. Everyone that came was "Awestruck" by this home. It has Everything !! If you are planning on renting this home...Just bring yourself! It provides High end appliances, towels, every beach item you can imagine..beach towels, chairs, floats boogie boards, even new kayaks to venture into the intercoastal waterway!! The home was clean and had comfortable beds and TV's in every room..even the kitchen! Donna, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. She had the house and yard immaculate for our party, (even doing some of the work herself!). She was a pleasure to work with. She was available to us 24/7 and addressed every concern promptly. Due to our parties...we had extra garbage...After calling her, She came over and picked it up right away!! This home, located on the intercoastal waterway, has a beautiful pool and hot tub. It is like having your own private "paradise". The sunsets are breathtaking !! And just a few short blocks from the beach. We have arranged to rent this house every summer for vacation. Our family, ages 2-59 enjoyed every minute. There is something for everyone!!

Our group of 60+ ladies (4) stayed here from 7/30/11 to 8/6/11. The overall experience was pleasant, given that we enjoy our time together so much, however, there were a few of disappointments. The cable service was not working properly, and the owner was obviously stretched thin on time, and was difficult to work with on resolving the issue. We finally found our own remedy by bypassing the HD receiver, whereby we were able to get the channels we wanted to watch, even though the picture quality was poor. The pool had sand in it, and the owner said it must be due to us, but at that point we had not even been to the beach. There was also algae growing, but this was never addressed. The pool cleaners never showed up in spite of the description of a mid-weekly cleaning schedule. While we were there we took note of the neglected landscaping and rather tired look of the place. It could be a beautiful home, it is definitely a lovely location on the river. We just feel that the owner is a bit overextended with her time or funds, and is unable to keep up with the maintenance. Note that the last reviews were from 2007, when things obviously looked better. We left the home exactly as we found it, possibly better. I've stayed at many other vacation homes over the years, but I have never been required to do laundry before leaving. Considering the rather pricey cleaning fee, I would have thought this would at least be included. We could have overlooked most of this if at least we felt that the owner took our concerns seriously. Instead, we were made to feel like we were being an irritant. I'm sorry to say none of us will be returning.
Owner response:I am so sorry you felt this way. You are the first to express this. I am always available for my guests 24/7. When you called me I was there. I spent 45 minutes on the phone on hold to the cable company. Then was disconnected. I called again and they shot a signal to you but you had disconnected the box and it could not be fixed. I called your cell phones and no one answered. I called the home phone and no one answered. I went there in person to talk to you since I could not get in touch with you. The cable company was going to come out but you told them not to because you were ok with watching cable instead on the Infinity extra channels I provide. I made the appointment for you and it was fixed. This is not my fault. I was not short on time and never short on time for anyone in any of my homes. The laundry only includes the towels. How hard is it to put towels in the washer? It is very time consuming to wash and dry towels so it is nice to have them started. This home is 4,000 sq. feet. Pricey cleaning fee? This includes all the nice things I have for you which most homes to do supply. I bring all my new clean linens to home so no need to do the linens. You do not mention the lovely beach towels I provide.... about 16 beautiful beach towels that take a long time to dry. This is the only reason why I like the towels started. I do not ask you to fold them. You are the only guests in 6 years that were unhappy. sorry

We spent 3 wonderful months in this lovely home and will never forget it. The house, the views, the pool are all amazing. We have stayed in three other rentals in the area but this was by far the best! The neighborhood is quiet - great for walks & bike rides. The decor is both elegant and comfortable and the layout of the house is fantastic for entertaining. Donna was extremely helpful and pleasant. Can't wait to come back!!!!
Owner response:Thanks so much for writing. You were wonderful guests and it was a pleasure having you. This is an awsome home which everyone seems to enjoy and want to return. Hope to see you again this year..... Donna DeNapoli

We spent three wonderful night's in your lovely rental. We were there to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday and for a goodbye family gathering for our nephew, who leaves soon for the Air Force. The house was very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone. Loved the kitchen & the living area. Our young adult men, spent most of their time in the game room. Why would they want to leave it?...You've provided a spot any guy would relish. The view of the bay is beautiful and encourages relaxation. We enjoyed spending time plundering through the streets of St.Augustine. What a great historic town! Any store imaginable was within a few convenient miles of your home. The pool was large, and though we din't utilize it due to the cool temps., it was pleasant to view, as was the hot tub. Thanks so much for sharing your home with a family that loves to spend time together. It's a lovely and a fun house to capture a nice weekend gathering. Wish we'd had more time! As someone in the hospitality field myself, I appreciated the many amenities you provided. Very accommodating! Bonnie Park

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at this GORGEOUS home in St. Augustine. We had 9 family members meet there as a send off to our son who is leaving for the Air Force. This home has everything you need and more. The owner has spared no expense in quality. There is a TV in every bedroom and gathering rooms as well. We enjoyed the fireplace, pool table, electric dart board & foosball. There's even a Baby Grand piano, if you play. The view from the glass sliders that line almost the entire back side of the house, and the immense amount of decking gave us the opportunity to really enjoy all the yachts and sailboats passing by. Althogh we were there in late January and it was perfect (fireplace), we'd love to go back for a summer stay as well. YOU CAN'T MISS ON THIS ONE !!! Donna, Thank You so much for sharing your home. It was PERFECT !!!!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your response and for taking the time to enter it in this guestbook. Everyone loves this home and has the best time. I take great pride in caring for my home and appreciate you as my guests. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time. I love to hear that! Please return for the warmer weather when you will enjoy the huge pool and can explore the Matanzas River on the kayaks. Donna DeNapoli
