We just got back from an eight night stay. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Most of the time we were the only ones in the condo building. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We loved the pool- we were the only ones to use it. The breeze and the view were beautiful. The nearest beach was less than 5 minutes away and never very busy. You could hop in your car and drive to nearby beaches depending on what you were in the mood for. Other nearby beaches had restaurants, bars and entertainment. In less than hour you could visit Rincon- for surfing and great food.(we went three times). The restaurant next door was good, too. I would highly recommend this condo - the owners are very gracious and helpful. I can't wait to go back!!!!!

The four of us found this condo to be very nice with a view that demanded much time on the balcony in the morning and evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the condo was equipped with almost anything you could possible need. We cooked most of our meals at the condo but the next door resort restaurant was very good and the local pastries are awesome! There were many travel guides and suggestions on area activities which we found useful. We had the entire complex nearly to ourselves as well as the beautiful beach (in the mornings). The local wildlife is beautiful to watch, especially the birds. The kayaks were fun and we found a fairly good snorkeling area just north of the where the resort is on the way to Combate beach. A few suggestions for those coming to stay here: Shop for your groceries at Econo in Cabo Rojo instead of Walmart in Ponce, buy extra OFF for the mosquitos, bring fewer clothes and use more sunscreen than you think you need! Bob was very nice and helpful in helping us prepare for the trip. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend this condo for those looking for a quiet, beautiful and relaxing vacation.
Owner response:The condo is a special place for my wife, children, grandchildren and me. It is always nice to hear that others enjoy it as much as we do. Bob

We stayed at this condo for a week in late February and found it wonderful. The house itself is well equipped and cute, and the owners are very considerate and solicitous. After the first weekend we had the whole complex almost to ourselves. The nearby beach up by the lighthouse, La Playuela, is truly one of the best in the world for swimming. The surf is just enough to be fun, but not dangerous undertow, and the sand is soft and white, no rocks. The road is bumpy, but then it's a short walk, and you can combine it with a trip to the lighthouse. We also loved the kayaks, and got out every day--there are bonefish if you look closely, and manta rays, good exercise and interesting. Dinner at the resort next door was very good, much better than most PR restaurants. There is also a golf course up near the town of Cabo Rojo, Club Deportiva del Oeste, where we played nine holes for $20 total, great deal. Best of all, this is not a crowded area the way many other parts of PR are. The driving is not hectic, and the atmosphere is perfectly relaxing. This beach house is gorgeous, an amazing view of the sunset and the lighthouse.

My husband and I recently spent a week with our adult daughter at this property in the southwestern tip of PR. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in 10 years. We give thanks for the well-appointed condo, the helpful owner, the proximity of the quiet & gorgeous white sandy beach, the closeness to everything we wanted to explore, and the natural beauty of this region. We kayaked almost everyday, including at the bio-luminescent bay nearby, snorkeled among colorful corals and hundreds of fish, had yummy fresh seafood at El Gato Negro in Joyuda, made our own fun foods, hiked in the bird sanctuary and along the coast, and loved the beautiful sunsets from our balcony. Stopped in PONCE on our way to the condo from the airport, and ate at the Argentinian beef place (excellent). Also stopped at the Walmart near PONCE for provisions for the week (saved us a lot of time). Bought fresh fruits and pastries from the small vendors 1 mile from the condo. Visited several other beaches nearby but still preferred our pretty crescent beach. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

My husband and I rented this unit in May and loved every minute of our vacation. The condo is well appointed and had everything we needed to enjoy our seven-day stay. Because the condo is situated on the third floor on an end, we enjoyed magnificent ocean breezes. A mile and a half away is a gorgeous crescent-moon beach that we adored. We also loved taking the kayak out and exploring the bay, where we spotted a school of eagle rays! Finally, be sure to book a trip to the bioluminescent bay off La Parguera, about a 30-minute drive from the condo. Pick a night with almost no moon and you'll be rewarded with the most amazing sights. I'll be recommending this rental to friends and family alike and hope to return some day ourselves! We just returned from this rental and it was even more beautiful than the pictures show! We felt as if we were in our own home away from home. The owner was very helpful, even for the questions we had when we were there. It was clean and safe and the sunsets were stunning. We kayaked and went to a beautiful beach practically to ourselves. It was off the beaten path and the few weekend neighbors we had were kind and friendly. The seafood in the next town Joyuda was amazing. We saw baby birds hatch in the tree off our balcony! We had an amazing hike up to the lighthouse nearby. We are very thankful to the owners for opening their vacation home to us for a one of a kind family vacation! I would recommend this place for any one who wants to get away from it all. Thank you thank you and thank you!

This condo was great for our needs. The owners have put a lot of thought into questions you might have while staying there and supplied a notebook of things to do in the area, which was very helpful. A couple of things you should know before renting this condo though- 1. Don't be discouraged by the salt flats behind the condo. When you first pull up, you're really not sure what you got yourself into! Rest assured that the condo area is clean and well-kept. 2. This is not an area I would say is "touristy". It really is a get-away type of area. We have stayed several places on the island, and this area is a bit more remote than you might want on your first stay. If however you're looking to get away from it all and relax, this is it. Overall, nice place to stay, friendly neighbors and beautiful scenery!

This by far was our best stay in Puerto Rico! The location was perfect for our interests. The beach was beautiful, very clean, and the water was incredible! We fished every night off the dock, watching the incredible sunsets! The lovely restaurant just up the road was very romantic and the food was delicious. The condo was equipped with everything, as we cooked our catch almost everyday! There was even great books and music to utilize! Our boys loved the pool and we felt very safe and at home! We will definitely be back, We already miss Cabo Rojo!!!!! J Shakkori

This condo is located in an idyllic, ideal location if you want the peace and quiet of a Caribbean island. The kayaking (the owners provide two kayaks) was a dream. In the calm waters of the bay, we were able to paddle around the mangroves and see barracudas, puffer fish etc--- The complex is meticulously maintained by a friendly staff who even worked on Xmas day and New Year's day! The condo itself has all you need and more, which makes you feel at home. You don't have to run to the store for missing items like a bar of soap or toilet paper. It being a penthouse unit, you have spectacular views of the two bays and the magnificent sunsets and sunrises (one over each bay). This is a nature lover's dream, but for nightlife you can walk to the very nice resort next door to enjoy an excellent meal over the water, or have a cocktail and enjoy the live music at the bar. It is also a short drive to places like Boqueron if you are in a party mood. For swimming beaches, it takes ten to fifteen minutes to walk to La Playuela, favored by the locals, or you can drive ten to fifteen minutes to El Combate, our kid's favorite for swimming, and our favorite for beautiful beach walking ( You can walk for miles along this beach). For casual dining, we recommend Luichy's restaurant in El Combate ( rather than Annie's Place, overrated by the guidebooks); for fine dining and paradisiac setting, we loved Agua Al Cuello at the resort mentioned earlier. We never go back to the same spot for our tropical vacation, but we may make an exception for this one, as we liked it so much. We highly recommend it.We have rented houses and condos in other parts of the world, and nothing compares to this one.
