Friendly Retreat is located in beautiful Canaan Valley, WV at the Windwood Fly-In Resort. The Windwood Resort community offers a spectacular view of the Timberline ski area as well as panoramic views of the Canaan Valley area. Windwood has a unique mountain airstrip. The paved runway is approximately 3,000 feet long by 40 feet wide. Windwood offers Amelia’s a full service restaurant and a private outdoor pool. Friendly Retreat is just that, a place for friends and family to gather and enjoy each other’s company while experiencing the best that Mother Nature has to offer.
Enjoy the convenience of the open floor plan the main floor has to offer. The great room features a gas log fireplace and a vaulted ceiling. Right beside of the great room is a small dining room off from the kitchen and the table that seats four. Our kitchen is fully equipped and user friendly. There is another dining table located in a nook of the kitchen that seats six. There is a half bath beside the kitchen.
The laundry facility is located down the hall from the kitchen and next to the garage. The master bedroom, also located on the main floor has a queen size bed and a futon. There is a large bathroom that features an oversized bathtub made for two! This bathroom also has a standup shower, double bowl sink, and a walk in closet.
On the second floor of the home there is a loft area that is perfect for entertaining young children. The loft has a futon, a TV, and games for entertainment. There are two bedrooms also located on the second floor. The first bedroom has a queen size poster bed and the second bedroom has a twin bed with trundle and a set of bunk beds. There is also a full size bathroom conveniently located next to the bedrooms.
Our home is warm, inviting and nicely decorated with a country theme. All of our furnishings are up to date and new.
We also offer a swing set for children that is located in the back yard, just off of the deck. The deck has a relaxing hot tub, a glider, and wooden deck furniture.
