What a wonderful place to spend 10 days in Hawaii. We were a little hesitant as we have never booked a vacation rental through VRBO, but from the initial contact with Linda regarding the booking, to the arrival and departure we could not have asked for more. Linda was prompt in providing all keys, codes, passes needed and always was available for any enquiries we incurred. The condo was a perfect location for ourselves and four adult children. The closeness of the amenity centre (pool and exercise room) and grounds surrounding the condo were spectacular. The condo itself was beyond our expectations and we loved to enjoy the outside patio along the the fully equipped BBQ. Nice spacious area with everything we needed. We also enjoyed having access to the Hapuna and Mauna Kea resorts. Mahalo and can't wait to return.

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed your Wai Ula Ula condo. We especially enjoyed congregating on the lanai, to dine, read or just relax. We also were impressed with how nicely furnished (including artwork) the home was. And the convenience of the pool was great. We, our sons and daughters-in-law all had a great time celebrating our 50th!

We stayed at this condo for eight nights in the beginning of January with my parents, my husband's parents, and our two-year-old son, and we all just loved the property, the amenities, and the location. The condo itself is beautifully furnished and very spacious, with lots of patio space and a great grill that we made use of on many nights. My son loved the toddler pool at the amenities center, and we loved that it was only a two minute walk or less, and that is was never crowded. There is not a lot to do right in the area as far as restaurants, shops, etc., but with easy access to the best beaches on the island and the great pool just a short walk from the condo this was not a problem. Our only issue during our stay was that the coffee pot broke, but when we let the local property manager know she very quickly replaced it. All of us agreed that we would definitely stay in this condo again, and we all really loved the location. I'd also like to add that every interaction any of us had with the owner or the property manager was very pleasant and helpful. I did initially think the security deposit was a bit high, but after seeing this gorgeous condo I can understand the amount, and I did get it back very quickly (I think less than a week after we returned home). We had the best time at your wonderful condo. It was perfect for our family. The fact that it is on the ground floor we liked because of our 1yr old granddaughter. The rec center pool was perfect for her, but we all loved the beach!! We felt right at home at your place. Thank you and can't wait to go again!

We just returned from a week at this property. TOP NOTCH! We were there with our two children, my parents and my sister. This unit has plenty of space and all ameneties are well appointed. The pool/rec center is a short walk and our kids spent every second there. Having the ameneties of both hotels is great, but in all honesty, the rec center at this complex is perfect (no need to leave!). Cannot wait to go back! Thanks Linda!

I've stayed in some nice hotels in the past, but now I know that condos are the way to go, especially with small children who nap, go to bed at different times, etc. We felt completely at home and had everything we needed. The condo decor was amazing, so serene and beautiful. Being on the bottom level made everything easier, from moving in on the first day, to letting the kids run through the lawn sprinklers in the back, for instance. And the amenity center was outstanding and a very short walk from the condo. We truly wanted to stay there forever. Thanks for all your help Linda!

This place was "picture perfect". We could not have asked for more. Since we were traveling with adult children, it was important for us to have three separate bedroom and the three bathrooms were equally important. The owner was very resonsive before and during our stay and promptly returned our security deposit. We'd definately recommend this place to our family and friends. We enjoyed golfing at the nearby Waikoloa resort...the Beach Course was very nice. The even closer Hapuna and Mauna Keana golf courses were even more impressive. Check out their websites for great 2-4-1 specials. You will definately need to rent a car. Driving to all parts of the island was not only good sight-seeing but a special time spent with the entire family. Another fun activity was the Captian Zodiak snorkeling tour...also saw pilot whales and spinner dolfins on the this tour.

Linda, your beautiful condo was luxurious in so many ways! Not only was the decor exquisite, but everything associated with it was of the highest quality! Dianna was very helpful with suggestions, and told us not to hesitate to contact her, if we had any questions. Dave and I appreciated your prompt communication with us regarding questions we had prior to and during our weeklong stay. We loved golfing at the Hapuna Golf Club, snorkeling at the Mauna Kea, Wailea Bay, and Kahalu'u Beach, as well as exploring the North side of the island. The Big Island has become our favorite Hawaiin island, and we hope to be back in the near future! Mahalo!

Our week was fabulous! Your home is so much more than a "vacation rental". I agree with all the superlatives already written in other reviews. The attention to detail and comfort is much appreciated. We enjoyed every moment. Additionally, the neighborhood is lovely - a walker's dream. Everyone on site was very friendly. The staff at the Hapuna Prince was wonderful too. We were absolutely smitten with the Big Island. It is our new favorite. We did the whole circle tour - even to King Kamehameha's birthplace! That road produced more laughs than we've had in a long time. We loved Waimea and its restaurants - Huli Sue's BBQ was as good as we've tasted. And the whales were very active all week. The day we went to the volcanoes was misty and cool but we still were awed by the crater. The Beach Boys concert was a delight for four Baby Boomers who love that music. They played all their hits and we danced and sang with them - for 2 1/2 hours we were back in high school! Mahalo to you for opening your home to wanna-be Islanders. We hope to be back some day.

Over the yearas, we have stayed in other condos on the Big Island and elsewhere in Hawaii, but our recent stay in this condo at Wai'ula'ula tops all the others. The condo itself has every amenity -- perfectly equipped and furnished for every facet of your Hawaiian vacation. For our family of four, there was plenty of space for us to have family time, as well as to have our own private time as a couple. The pool and fitness condo facilities are right near this condo and are well maintained. Access to the hotel resort facilities is convenient and easy, making the experience just perfect. For a wonderful Hawaiian vacation, our family would recommend this condo without reservation. We plan to stay there again, hopefully soon!

We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable vacation at this home. For those who know and enjoy the Kohala coast, this is a great base to explore and snorkel. Having parking privileges at both the Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches is ideal. It's also nice to be able to use the hotels' beach facilities and beach towels. Mauna Kea in particular is great for families with children--kids can play on the beach while adults snorkel the two excellent reefs. The Wai'Ula'Ula development is quiet, beautiful, and has an excellent and modern amenity center. The home itself is gorgeous and helps you ease into the relaxing Island lifestyle. Its layout was perfect for kids, us, and grandparents. Artwork, furniture, and styling is all top-notch. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what you'll need to be comfortable and to fit right in. While it's got TVs galore, mostly we passed evenings and early mornings on the lanai watching the ocean--either the shadow of Mauna Kea receding in the morning or the sunset in the evening. We also enjoyed the geckos on the lanai at night. We hope to return again soon.

" This unit at Wai'ula'ula is in a great location, very private and quiet, while still being close to the gorgeous pool and amenity center. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable and the double master suite configuration ensures that 2 couples can have privacy as well as lots of room to mingle. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for a dinner party or get-together. The outdoor spaces are amazing, an entire Wolf outdoor kitchen, seating, lounge chairs and stone flooring. We will continue to tell anyone interested in the Big Island about your unit. We LOVE it!"

Once again, we had one of the most enjoyable, relaxing and memorable vacations that we can imagine thanks to your beautiful Wai'ula'ula home. We had busy days of hiking, exploring, horseback riding and lots and lots of beach and pool time and then we happily retired "home" for delicious dinners of fresh fish from the local fish market and fruits and vegetables from the farmers markets AND those incredibly delicious shortbread cookies that you left for us ~ thank you so much! After dinner we enjoyed some fabulous star viewing from your lawn ~ the night skies were amazing most nights. For our family, having your comfortable and perfectly appointed home as our base for beginning and ending the day is what makes the vacation so relaxing, easy and effortless. You truly have thought of and provided everything that one could possibly need. It is so wonderful to have all the basics (and more) covered from the beach towels, paper goods, shampoos, laundry soaps, to the spices, essential coffee and even all the hot dog/hamburger condiments! We also loved the addition this year of some fun games, great movies and books. What we also enjoy is that your home is not cluttered with things ~ you provide just the right amount of just the right things. There is really nothing that we can imagine that you could change or add to make things any better since they are perfect the way they are! The beds are so comfortable and everything so beautifully decorated ~ did you do it all yourself? We just love it! We think they did everything right in designing and building these units and yours is wonderful. We used the fitness center every day and loved that you are so close to it. The wireless internet worked flawlessly and was much appreciated. Having two very nice master bedrooms is a great feature and makes it possible for two couples to share the unit in equal comfort. Also, the hooded grill and refrigerator outdoors on the patio are a fabulous touch. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

It was a wonderful trip. Your condominium is perfect in every way. We loved the layout of the dual master bedrooms for our group of 3 generations - grandparents and two children ages 7 & 10. The furniture, the artwork, the linens, and all the small touches - the complete cooking tools, the beach towels & toys, the Hawaii books, etc. - perfect. Loved the appliances and BBQ. It was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Our children said it best - not the best trip ever, but the best time they have EVER had. Property manangement was kind, answered all of our questions, keys, codes, passes, etc. all in order and as described and overall good business transaction. We look forward to a return trip and give our highest recommedation to others who may consider the same. Thank You.

"We all had such a wonderful time at your place it felt like home and we really enjoyed the big island. We went to the Volcano National Park and did the Snorkel Fairwind Cruise. Staying in your condo was a great decision! We had a wonderful time, and really enjoyed the amenities....the kitchen was great to use, very well-equiped, as was the rest of your lovely home. We had the best of both worlds.......the nice hotel pool and beach, the beautiful pool in the condo facility which was sooooo close, and the lovely sunsets of North Kohala....our favorite place.

Oh my!!! We had a fantastic time staying in your beautiful condo. It was elegantly decorated, comfortable, plasma TV's in all the bedrooms and was stocked with every possible kitchen item we needed. Wow – what a place! It was exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I brought our 3 kids (ages 12,9, and 6) and 2 grand parents. Even with 7 of us, the size of the condo was perfect. Having the 2 master suites gave both adult couples their space. Having the flat screen TVs in the bedrooms gave the kids choices about what to watch (and cut down on the fights). We ultimately picked your condo for the kitchen and it didn’t disappoint! Of the 14 nights we stayed there, I must have cooked at least half the dinners, and all but 2 of the breakfasts. Contrast this with the last condo we stayed at Hawaii where the kitchen drove us out every meal. Having the AC available was also great. For me, the highlights of staying there were 1. Ideal layout for 2 couples and 3 kids 2. *amazing* kitchen and BBQ (I used the BBQ a lot!) 3. Comfortable enough for us to think of it as a “home” 4. Close to awesome beaches 5. We used the clubhouse and the pool a lot and both were way above par. 6. The details were just awesome – like the fan switches and dimmers next to the bed. The sliding doors to the patios and so on. It’s really obvious that somebody spent a lot of time picking out top quality materials and building it exactly right."
