Palm Retreat located at Pineapple Village on the east end of St. Thomas is the ideal place to get away and relax in the tropical sun while staying on budget. The charming and spacious two bedroom, three full bath bungalow is fully air conditioned and can easily sleep six people. Walking distance to Coral World Marine Park, Coki Beach, four restaurants, and beach activities makes it an ideal place to relax.

Watch the hummingbirds and sugarbirds playing in the coconut palms while relaxing on the overstuffed sofa in the fully air-conditioned living room, or open the wide sliding glass wall to let the tropical trade winds provide natural cooling. Each spacious (18 feet by 16 feet) bedroom has a private entrance and patio garden along with its own bathroom, walk in closet, and air conditioning. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other bedroom has two full beds. The sofa in the living room also converts to queen size bed and a full size crib is available for a small child.

The fully-equipped kitchen opens either into the air-conditioned dining area or outside to the large private garden patio (36 feet by 28 feet) featuring a gas grill and bar stools pulled up to the kitchen bar. The design of the kitchen makes it easy to exchange grilled food from outside with frozen drinks from the blender in the kitchen.

The outdoor living area is complete with lounge chairs, a dining table and a hammock strung between the trees. You can relax in your own private tropical patio or take advantage of the pool and beach. The pool is only a few steps away and features a fountain and attached shallow wading pool.

A short stroll through the lush grounds, past the pool brings you to the beach where you will hear the soothing sounds of the waves rolling onto the sand. Beautiful Saint John and the British Virgin Islands frame the bay as sailboats drift by.

Take your sandals off and soak your toes in the Caribbean Sea as you wander down the beach towards Fungis, the waterfront bar/restaurant serving island casual lunch and dinner. Enjoy the natural beauty of Water Bay Beach while watching the pelicans bob in the bay.

The layout of Palm Retreat, with its completely private bedroom suites, makes it ideal for two couples or a family. It allows for enough privacy along with shared living spaces for socializing and sharing meals together.

Coral Studio is new vacation rental neighboring Palm Retreat. Coral Studio is perfect for two people or can be combined with Palm Retreat to accommodate a large group. Palm Retreat is a great value for a very spacious and comfortable accommodation located on beachfront property. It is very private and quiet. The resort is currently closed which allows for maximum privacy on the beach and at the pool. Fungi's Restaurant on the beach is open serving Caribbean drinks and food with the Agave Terrace a few steps above serving the best of island fine dining. Picaso's Coffee Shop is open for breakfast and throughout the day. Beach activities and watersports are available at nearby Coki Beach, at 5 minute walk from Pineapple Beach. Palm Retreat is located at the back of Pineapple Village, a short stroll to the beach and Caribbean Sea.

  • I stayed in Coral Studio, a studio apartment in Pineapple Village also managed by Palm Retreat. We had a great time! The apartment was a good jumping off point and very reasonably priced. Coki Beach is awesome for relaxing and we spent most of our days there in awe of the crystal clear water. Palm Retreat management was great and everything was super easy. We were checked in and out on time and the business dealings were quick and prompt. The studio is small, but the King sized bed is a welcome addition. Plus, they have direct TV so I was able to catch some of the basketball while I waited for my girl to get ready for nights on the town. Great stay, highly recommended, and a steal for the price!

  • We had a great time at Palm Retreat. I highly recommend staying here. My family and I really enjoyed the privacy of the beach and pool. Palm Retreat was very clean and the air conditioning works great. It was nice to come home to a clean and cool place after a long day at the beach. We have five people in our family and we had plenty of space for all of us. I spent a lot of time looking for an affordable place for my family to stay and we made the right decision to stay here. The owners and caretakers were friendly and easy to deal with. We will be staying here again on our next vacation to St. Thomas.

  • We just returned from a superb family vacation at Palm Retreat. We spent a week at this lovely vacation home with our young son and my parents. We had plenty of room for all of us. We felt like we had our own private getaway with the beach and pool all to ourselves. Palm Retreat has all the amenities of home making it an easy vacation for our family. We grilled on the BBQ every night and took our coffee to the beach for the morning sunrise. It is very clean and comfortable. The owners were here to meet us and were very friendly and helpful with their local knowledge. I highly recommend staying here.

  • The cove beach here was great for my kids and Koki beach had many activities nearby. The location isn't far from the barge to St. John. We liked the air conditioning and the bedrooms were perfect with each having their own bathroom. The owners made us feel right at home and made our stay enjoyable, they were very knowledgable and friendly. The condo had everything we needed and then some- thanks so much!

  • I had a great experience staying here. The condo is very quiet and the grounds are relaxing. There was a short walk to the pool and beach. Plus, Fungi's for great food and drinks. The condo is open and light with good sized bedrooms and living space. The owner was very nice to deal with and I would definitely return again. Nice stay!
