I stayed at Palm Retreat with my family including three small children in August. We were pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the condo. It is really more like your own beach house than a condo. It was great for the kids to play and us to relax. There was plenty of room inside with the air conditioning or outside in the private, walled in patios for the kids to play. We really enjoyed the privacy of the grounds, especially the pool which is very close. The grounds are all flat with an easy walkway to the beach. There is a wagon provided which the kids loved and was very convenient for toting supplies back and forth from the beach and pool to the home. We looked forward to returning "home" after days out exploring St. Thomas and St. John. We cooked almost every meal either on the grill outside or in the kitchen with the window opened out to the patio. The kids loved sitting on the bar stools outside and watching me cook from the inside. It was fun and memorable. We highly recommend staying here. It is a great value for a spacious, family friendly vacation rental.

I stayed in Coral Studio, a studio apartment in Pineapple Village also managed by Palm Retreat. We had a great time! The apartment was a good jumping off point and very reasonably priced. Coki Beach is awesome for relaxing and we spent most of our days there in awe of the crystal clear water. Palm Retreat management was great and everything was super easy. We were checked in and out on time and the business dealings were quick and prompt. The studio is small, but the King sized bed is a welcome addition. Plus, they have direct TV so I was able to catch some of the basketball while I waited for my girl to get ready for nights on the town. Great stay, highly recommended, and a steal for the price!

A wonderful vacation property!! We( 5 family members) totally enjoyed our experience at Palm Retreat. Carrie and Marc were a pleasure to deal with. Their property was equipped to provide a relaxing vacation experience. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Imagine a beach on some days entirely for ourselves. Coki beach is within walking distance, very crowded though. We enjoyed a dinner walk to Fungi's one evening while walking along the beach that was lit up by the full moon. Very close to the St. John's ferry in Red Hook. Nice Restaurants in Red Hook. Only 3 miles away. We loved the Iguanas too!! I would highly recommend this property.

I wouldn't even know where to start about our experience in St.Thomas and this rental. It was fantastic! We went to St.Thomas for a friends wedding and 5 of us had decided to rent a vacation home instead of getting a hotel room. It was one of the best decisions! From the start, the owners Marc and Carrie were wonderful to work with. I had inquired about other rentals before deciding on this one, and none of the other owners replied back to me regarding my questions. Carrie had responded to me right away, answering any guestions I had and worked me through the payment methods. She had also sent us information about the island after a few days of making our reservation. Including taxi rates, a map on how to get to the condo from the airport, and any suggestions that might help us out with our trip. When we arrived at the condo we were in all, we were all so happy we choose this condo, it was beautiful, very clean, well maintained, very cozy and comfortable. There were 5 of us, and we all fit comfortably. There was plenty of space and room, didn't feel crowded at all. Everything we needed for our outtings to the beach was already there, we didn't have to rent anything once we got to the beach. Snorkels, chairs, towels, you name it, Carrie and Marc had it. The boys were also very happy that there was a grill! The outside patio is just relaxing. Every morning when we got up, we hung out,outside for breakfast or coffee, or to lay in the hammock that they had there or just watch some of the humming birds that were flying around. Coki Beach was our favorite out of all the beaches we had visited. And it's literally a 5 minute walk from the condo. Coki Beach had the most amount of fish for snorkeling! We would all like to thank Marc and Carrie for their wonderful place. If I go back to St. Thomas, they will be the first that I call, and it the place is reserved, I think I would wait for it! I have already told some friends and family about the property and told them, this is the place to stay!!!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great Family Vacation

I am rather late in posting this review - our stay was actually in April 2008 (Spring Break), and we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We were actually two families, total of 7, and the accomodations worked very well for us. We enjoyed breakfasts in the courtyard (even made pancakes one morning) and it was a treat to watch the hummingbirds. Carrie and Marc were very kind and helpful with our many questions before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again!

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Very roomy, clean and has all the accomodations you can ask for. The owners were extremely accomodating and easy to work with.They brought in all toddler accessories for our 18 month old daughter which was a huge help. Very private and quiet. The outside,enclosed pation was one of the best features with hummingbirds to watch. We would go back there again in a heartbeat! Fungi's and Agave restaurants are within walking distance.

We had a great time at Palm Retreat. I highly recommend staying here. My family and I really enjoyed the privacy of the beach and pool. Palm Retreat was very clean and the air conditioning works great. It was nice to come home to a clean and cool place after a long day at the beach. We have five people in our family and we had plenty of space for all of us. I spent a lot of time looking for an affordable place for my family to stay and we made the right decision to stay here. We just returned from a superb family vacation at Palm Retreat. We spent a week at this lovely vacation home with our young son and my parents. We had plenty of room for all of us. We felt like we had our own private getaway with the beach and pool all to ourselves. Palm Retreat has all the amenities of home making it an easy vacation for our family. We grilled on the BBQ every night and took our coffee to the beach for the morning sunrise. It is very clean and comfortable. The owners were here to meet us and were very friendly and helpful with their local knowledge. I highly recommend staying here.

Palm Retreat had everything I was looking for in my vacation. Plenty of private indoor and outdoor living space. We felt like we had our own private Caribbean Beach. Fungi's Beach Cafe was perfect for happy hour drinks and snacks right on the beach. Coki Beach was just a short walk away and provided all the socializing and activities we needed. The snorkeling there was fabulous. I highly recommed this property. It is very accurately described in this listing.

I had a great experience staying here. The condo is very quiet and the grounds are relaxing. There was a short walk to the pool and beach. Plus, Fungi's for great food and drinks. The condo is open and light with good sized bedrooms and living space. The owner was very nice to deal with and I would definitely return again. Nice stay!

The cove beach here was great for my kids, as were the many activities nearby. The location isn't far from the barge to St. John. We liked the air conditioning and the bedrooms were perfect with each having their own bath. The owners made us feel right at home and made our stay enjoyable, they were very knowledgable and friendly. The condo had everything we needed and then some- thanks so much!

The cove beach here was great for my kids and Koki beach had many activities nearby. The location isn't far from the barge to St. John.
