Brand new luxurious mountain home located in the heart of Mount Werner, minutes from the slopes. A private free shuttle will get you there in the winter, or you may choose to walk in about eight minutes to the gondola. Fantastic restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shopping are all within a short distance. Our beautifully furnished home is a four bedroom, four and a half bath, three level town home with views of the mountains throughout. The home boasts western style wood trim and large windows with wood blinds throughout the over 4000 square feet of living area.
The main floor offers a slate entry to take off shoes and coats, along with a half bath. There is a full gourmet kitchen with everything you need to prepare a fantastic meal, including plenty of dishware for all your guests. The kitchen offers brand new stainless steel appliances as well as custom slab granite counter tops and slate flooring.
The living room and dining room feature hardwood floors, an Italian mahogany dining table and a combination of leather and wood furniture to provide plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. The living room has a forty-one inch flat screen HDTV with DVD and VCR, along with a great stereo for your favorite music, as well as a grand river rock fireplace. A covered deck and large windows provide commanding views of the Yampa valley, and views of the Flattop Wilderness area. Grill yourself a nice steak on the gas grill or soak in the private hot tub after a hard day of skiing or hiking.
Upstairs, the second floor has three full bedrooms with three complete bathrooms. The master bedroom has an oversize king-bed with luxurious linens and comforter, and two balconies to view the mountains from the large windows. A fifty-two inch flat screen TV with cable, provides great viewing from bed. The master bath offers an oversized Jacuzzi tub, European style shower and double sinks. Off the master bedroom is a beautifully appointed office with high speed internet which can also be closed off to become another potential sleeping area. A washer and dryer are available on this floor.
The other two bedroom suites have queen-size beds with luxurious linens and mountain views. Each of the bedrooms has its own full bath with a large tiled shower. The fourth bedroom on the third floor is great for kids; offering a beautiful mahogany sleigh style trundle bed with a twin-size mattress below. It also boasts a full bath with large tiled shower that can be entered directly from the bedroom or from the third floor entertainment area. There is also a full-size sleeper sofa located in a separate alcove.
The third level is the social center of the home, designed for playing your favorite games or enjoying movies and sporting events. We offer a fifty-two inch flat screen TV complete with DVD and VCR. You will truly relax in this room when you sink into the soft leather couch or chair with full size ottoman. You may also choose to relax your muscles in the large cedar sauna with plenty of room to sit or lay down. Or, spend precious time with your family and friends over a game of Nine-Ball on a brand new full size Brunswick billiards table. A large tiled bar area completes the third level with rustic alder cabinetry as well as a stainless steel sink, refrigerator and ice-maker.
The home also offers an attached heated two-car garage, as well as radiant floor heating throughout the house, which is a welcome feature when your feet touch the floor on a cold Rocky Mountain morning. The covered front porch offers views of the mountains and protected wetlands area. High Speed Wireless Internet & Free Long Distance calling are available for your added convenience. We stayed in this home during the Steamboat Spring Winter Carnival. The actual place is even better than the VRBO description made it seem. Everywhere in the house an atmosphere of the Colorado Rockies prevails: The love of winter's activities with a casual Western accent. The hot tub, sauna, billiards and ping pong table kept all 10 of us happily busy at one time or another during our four night stay. We had planned to eat in a restaurant one of our nights in Steamboat, but the kitchen made cooking a pleasure with places for for everyone at the dining room table. Each bedroom has its own bath. No waiting! We were surprised that there was a speaker station for plugging in an I-Pod, so that we could hear our own music the whole time we were there. It was amazing to have so many people staying in one place without stepping all over each other. Very spacious! The warm floors are part of that "welcome back to warmth and luxury" after a long day of skiing. The views from this place are beautiful, even under nearly 3 ft. of snow. We talked about what a spectacular place it would be for a summer vacation visit as well.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
