  We stayed at this condo for 4 nights. Upon arrival, the condo appeared to be well cleaned however after closer inspection, we notied there was still sand underneath the decorative rugs so we used the vaccuum to clean the floors ourselves. I do not recommend staying here if you have small children who are crawling. The floor was filthy, mainly the decorative carpets. My son's toes were black from the dirt, we actually had to buy him socks. Also, the bathtubs were completely backed up and would not drain. We purchased liquid plumber which seemed to somewhat correct the problem, however this could be a problem in the future. We also encountered a few cockroaches and smaller bugs that appeared to be fleas. In our opinion, the above items can easily be corrected. If so, this would be a good place to stay on the island. The condo provided conveniences to make meals, do laundry and watch movies as a family. The location of the condo was awesome and close to two beach access areas within walking distance. The TVs and cable channels were a plus when we needed to relax after a long day on the island. The owners provide plenty of extra sheets and beach towels if needed. I would recommend this condo for adults and teenagers but not for families with small children.

  I was told it was close to the beach, but wow, walking distance to two entrances. Pool in the back. Clean and spacious. Owners offered wi fi, kitchen ready for use, all we had to do was buy groceries and have fun!

  My family and I stayed in Ben and Jen's condo for a week beginning 8/7/11, and we had a fantastic time! We are native South Texans, so were already familiar with the island, but this was our first extended stay. First of all, the photos don't do it justice. This condo was immaculate when we entered, and it is bigger than it seems in the photos. Kitchen is well equipped, appliances are newer/efficient, and living area is very comfortable for relaxing. Rooms are spacious with fantastic closet space. Pool is a bit small, but our kids really enjoyed. Fireworks display on Friday night is wonderful and the view from our driveway was better than we could ask for. Didn't even have to leave the condo. Front and back porches are spacious, but not enough chairs. If you want to sit out there for a bit and enjoy the glorious view, I would recommend bringing a few extra folding chairs with you. Walk to the beach was easy and convenient, 5-8 minute walk at the most (wear shoes, sand is HOT!). Lot's of shops, stores, and restaurants within walking distance, and washer/dryer inside condo made it super convenient to throw in your towels at the end of each day. A/C was cold and kept us comfortable during the extremely hot August weather. Also want to add that dealing with Jen was so easy and pleasant. She is super sweet and made us feel comfortable right from the start. So glad we decided to try a rental by owner service. The price was very affordable, roomy, and comfortable . A fantastic time was had by all. Awesome vacation. Thank you Ben & Jen, we hope to come back next year!

  We spent the a week in this condo in June 2011 and really enjoyed it. The unit was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The set up was perfect for our family of 6. This condo is in a great location, within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The pool was also a great amenity, which we all enjoyed. We had no problems and would recommend it without hesitation. We will return! Thanks.

  We stayed the week of August 13, 2010, and our family of 4 absolutely loved this condo! It was beautifully furnished with everything you need for home away from home... When not at the beach, our boys loved to pool. The location is perfect, being so close to the beach, and close to everything else. "Thank You" Ben and Jen for providing such a wonderful place.   Not one single complaint about our stay at Ben & Jen's condo. The walk to the beach is not bad AT ALL! You can drive your car to the closest beach access but there really isn't any point to with the condo being so close. The condo was actually larger than we thought it was going to be. Very spacious and has just about everything you need. We will definitely be coming back!!!

  We spent the first week in July of 09 at this condo and really loved it. The set up was perfect for our family of 4. The twin beds in the second bedroom were perfect for my son and daughter. Both of our kids loved the beaches of South Padre and enjoyed swimming in the pool in the back yard of the condo. If we're ever in the area we'd definitely choose to stay here again. My 9 y.o. son said this trip was better than Disney World! If you're going with kids there is plenty to do for them, the water park, pirate cruise, beaches are all very family friendly during the summer.

  It lived up to all that we expected and more. It was very neat and organized with everything we could possibly need during our stay. It actually became "home" in the short 10 days we were there. The pool is perfect in size and temperature, we actually favored it over the beach (despite sharing it with baby opossums.) We definitely would recommend Ben & Jen's condo and hope we can return soon.
