Couldn't have been more happy with this property! The cool ocean breeze and beautiful blue water was great to wake up every day. Plenty of warm water, comfortable bed, and kitchen utensils. Great entertainment center for a movie or TV. If you pan on cooking, bring whatever you need (spices, condiments, oil, etc). The security guard is very friendly and the place is very secure (need to pass over 4 locked doors till enter property). Direct beach access, just walk down the steps and you are on the beach. The current is strong, wouldn't advise going too deep. The beach is a turtle refuge. You can often see the tracks of where other adult turtles laid their eggs. The apartment complex locks the gate to the beach around 5-6pm, in which cause you would need to walk around the complex and go over some rocks and through a bit of town. Wasn't bad, but was a bit of an awkward walk without shoes.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This was our first visit to PR... we hope to come back! So, it seems to me that you can either go to a big resort, and not see/interact with the local people and businesses, or, you can rent in more local location, like this condo. We opted for the later, and were not disappointed... Rocco was very easy to deal with, his condo is very clean and comfortable, and his local managers were great! We loved the beach right in front - in our opinions, it was better than the public Luquillo beach. The only suggestions we have, is to provide instructions on all the keys, which is pretty minor, and to provide a few sets of keys when we went out separately. Thats it! We loved PR, and loved this condo... we hope to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We stayed in Luquillo from 4-1-2013 to 4-5-2013. Condo was very comfortable for our family of 4. Updated furnishings, spacious and gorgeous ocean views. Waves were choppy when we arrived but Luquillo public beach was a 4 min car ride. Location is ideal for those wanting to visit El Yunque or activities in Fajardo. San Juan is only about 25 mins away. Owner responded to my questions promptly. Id recommend and would definitely rent again!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

I really liked the location of the condo. It wasn't far from the airport, and overall was easy to find. I will say that once you get to Luquillo, the area where the condo is located, it was hard for me to actually drive up to the building because there were many one way streets going thru the neighborhood that is near the building, I also was arriving at night but once you figure it out, it is fairly easy. The neighborhood outside the condo is a little run down and a little shady but the building is very secure, and I was traveling alone with my sister and son and I never felt unsafe. We did not go anywhere around there after dark. The condo itself is nice and clean. I have a phobia of dirty floors and will rarely take my flip flops off on bare floors besides my own home. I took my shoes off to walk around and the floors were really clean, no black feet! Everything was clean and organized. The condo is very spacious. The rooms were nice and big. We mostly slept on the pull out couch with the balcony door cracked so we could hear the ocean. There was a nice breeze and we kept the ceiling fan on. The beach outside the condo is beautiful. It seems private, I'm not sure if it is. We only saw one other family out there. The water was beautiful and not too cold even in March. The beach goes on forever, we climbed over the rocks and walked to the other side where it seemed like there was more locals. I really wish I could of spent more time on this beach but we had a lot of things we wanted to do. The guys at the security office of the condo are really friendly and helpful. There is a nice cafe in the little town in front of the condo that we ate breakfast at a few times and got coffee, Aromas I believe it was called. We didn't really eat anywhere else near the condo as we were always on the road doing things and visiting my family. The location of the condo was great. It was about 20 min to Fajardo, where you take the ferry to go to the islands of Vieques and Culebra. It is also close to El Yunque rainforest but we didn't get a chance to visit. I would strongly suggest getting a rental car, we did a lot of driving and I can't imagine the cost to use a taxi. The condo was great and I highly recommend it!Did you find this review helpful? Hi Rocco, We returned to NY yesterday from a fantastic ten day vacation in your wonderful Luquillo apartment. Everything was so lovely, as always, the constant soothing ocean breezes, the gorgeous views. Thanks you so much for renting us this apartment, which we have come to love and look forward to returning to each year. Barbara J.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Rocco - Sorry it took so long to write and say thank you for allowing us to rent your condo during our Christmas break. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed PR. The condo was wonderful, we found it very clean and comfortable....our friends who ended up staying on the 19th fl were happy too but always came to sit on our balcony due to a big difference w/the breeze. The view from your balcony was stunning....I hope we get the chance to return and its definitely made me interested in buying there. P.S. You were right I left there wishing I had just one more day (especially since I'm back in sub-zero weather). Again-"THANK YOU"-AnneDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was amazing. We could have sat on the balcony the entire time, staring out at the ocean, and been perfectly happy. And to wake up every morning to the sound of the waves was incredible. The location was great in terms of being at the end of the developed portion of the beach - nothing but undeveloped coastline and beach to walk right outside the condo doors. This place isn't across the street from the beach like a lot of other places - it is ON the beach. The neighborhood the condo was in didn't seem to be the greatest, but honestly, none of the neighborhoods where the big condo buildings were seemed particularly great. We never felt unsafe and the staff we encountered at the condo were very nice. In general, we thought Luquillo was a great base camp - close to so many things. Condo was immaculate and Rocco provided all sorts of additional items that were great to have, like a cooler, beach chairs, DVD player, stereo, internet access, as well as numerous restaurant suggestions. If I had been here with my daughter, the beach would have a been a bit tough, in that you can't really swim right off the beach because of the current. But, Luquillo Beach and Playa Azul beach were less than a 5 minute drive away, so it really wasn't that big of a deal. We checked out the other big condo buildings and I was definitely glad we chose this one. Rocco was so quick to respond to any concerns or questions we had. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone else! Great place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
