Serifos: The peaceful island of Serifos was inhabited first by the Venetians, Russians, Franks and inhabited by the Turks in the 1800s. Mythology names Serifos as the island of the Medusa, home of Perseus and Danae and the fierce Cyclops.

Serifos is now well known for its numerous beautiful beaches, the stunning capitol, Hora surrounded in brilliant white washed Cycladic and neoclassic houses. Hora amphitheatrically overlooks the port and surrounding islands. The island hosts one of the oldest iron metal mines in the Cyclades, Mega Livadi. Accessible by car or taxi, the picturesque village overlooks a romantic sandy cove where two family owned tavernas serving local delicacies. Serifos has numerous churches and well kept monasteries. The village of Panagia houses one of the oldest churches in the whole of Greece. Livadi, the islands' popular destination has restaurants, cafes, bars and shops all overlooking the nestled cove of Avlomonas.

The property: The two story maisonnette is built in a small quite complex named "Pleiades" on the highest point of the property with a panoramic view of the port and three neighboring islands. Frequent bus service is accessible on the road below, car and bike rentals are available on the island and the house is accessible by foot where a 15 minute walk can get you to the overlooking port and two popular beeches. The house is furnished in a simple yet traditional style. The owner, Alexandra, an English speaking artist and writer could be available when needed.
