Two-minute walk to Cabana Club's three pools, restaurant, Salon and Day Spa, (our view also overlooks kiddie pool) and Camp Fripp (seasonal, but Activity Center is open year round), which offers special arts and crafts and outdoor activities for kids. Beautiful nature trail is across the street from our front door and leads to Skull Inlet-pier perfect for fishing and wildlife viewing. Ocean Creek and Ocean Point Golf Courses just minutes away. Amenity cards may be purchased through owner for guests 13 and older. ($35 a week/sports season and $50 a week/summer season.)

Why the Owner Chose Veranda Beach Bungalows
Of all the coastal locations we could have invested in, we chose Fripp because of its timeless attractions: nature preservation and family activities. The island has all the modern amenities: two incredible golf courses, excellent tennis courts, great restaurants and beautiful pools. But it was the personal contact with nature and the activity staff on Fripp that sold us. I don't know of any other place where my kids can catch fiddler crabs all morning, have lunch with a few deer, go shelling on the "Fripper", and then have Kids' Night Out at Camp Fripp. The greatest thing about Fripp is that as a mother of three, I feel my children are safe to explore the world on Fripp (the island is gated, the Camp Fripp and Activity Center staff are perfect and our home is on a dead end street so no through traffic while they are playing.) Also on Fripp, the kids can get out and explore the coastal tides and nature trails instead of playing video games all day. I feel that we can teach our kids about nature and ocean life in real life not just reading about it in a book or watching it on TV. Neighboring islands like Pritchard's and Hunting were also super bonuses because Pritchard's is an uninhabited wildlife preserve and Hunting is a state park with a historic lighthouse and preserved homesite.
The Unique Benefits at this House
In our home, we enjoy the best of both worlds. Our incredible ocean view enables us to watch for dolphins while washing the dishes or just rocking on the veranda! We can enjoy a rare Atlantic sunset from our windows and then have family movie night on our 47" flat screen TV. During the day take our 4-6 person golf cart all over the island without having to strap a kid into a carseat. When we first came to fripp, I had three kids still in car seats so this was a huge bonus to our vacation enjoyment! We chose our location on Fripp because we are within 100 yards of everything a family needs access to: Camp Fripp, the Cabana Club's 3 pools, restaurant, and salon, the Skull Inlet pier (perfect for fishing, crabbing or just watching the sunset), the Activity Center (where they have many animals, arts and crafts, and daily planned activities like family scavenger hunts) and the 12th hole of the Ocean Creek Golf Course (an easy walk over to meet your golfers while they play.)
The Cabana Club, Fripp's best swimming amenity, is only 20 yards from our home. With its three pools located right on the water, restaurant, bar and spa, your whole family will find something to enjoy.
Kids ages 3-12 can enjoy Camp Fripp's many activities during peak season. Check out the Activity Center for year round Family activities.

Hello Travelers! We are a family of five who fell in love with Fripp Island and felt we had to own a part of it. It has been our family's special getaway since 2006 and we hope to enjoy it for many years to come. I am a teacher of the gifted in Georgia and my husband is a culinary instructor and a musician. Together, we own and manage properties with our Fripp Island property being our only vacation rental.

I was at your home for only a few short days, but in that time I was completely relaxed and refreshed. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable & beautifully decorated. I didn't get to enjoy the outdoor grotto off the master bedroom, which is my one regret. The availability of both bikes and golf cart made getting around easy and fun. It was a quick ride to the beach, followed by a peaceful walk watching the ocean & animal life. The house had all the amenities needed for my stay. I'd love to return for another visit.

This house is great for the wonderful views from the back porch to the added bonus of a golf cart for excursions to the beach or tours of the island. The floor plan is well thought out with the living space on the second level for access to the covered porch that overlooks the Cabana Club pool and the ocean. We will be returning again this year for our 4th time. It is great for one or two families, and the location on the island is convenient to all the amenities of the resort. Try this one and we guarantee you will come back again. We have been staying at Fripp for years and this is the first home we have rented over again each time. It is truly a great vacation for the entire family. Laura

Thanks so much for sharing your paradise with us! The island's peaceful nature was just what we needed. Your location was perfect! We fished off the pier only 100 feet away, the kids went to Camp Fripp right around the corner and we spent every afternoon relaxing at the water's edge at the Cabana Club's pools. Your golf cart was a fantastic added bonus! We spoke to others who had to rent their cart to the tune of an extra $275! Riding to the beach in the golf cart was half the fun for my kids who spotted deer, raccoons, egrets, and even an alligator while on our way. The house was very clean and well stocked (especially the kitchen.) I loved how you had each towel set ready for each visitor. The kids loved playing in the jacuzzi tub on the master's veranda. We watched for dolphins and even enjoyed the colors of the sunset from the living room balcony. We played many games and watched several movies in your collection. The big screen TV was perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. We can't wait to return!

Sorry for the delay in signing your guest book. I always have good intentions but never enough time. Jenny, your house was wonderful. We had a great time sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. The overall trip was great the only bad thing was that stores closed so early that if you needed something after 7pm you were pretty much out of luck. The people were generally nice and polite, but when asking for directions many of them thought we were weird. I guess its more common for people to know their way around the area. The house was nice, but we did have some issues with running out of hot water rather quickly.

Jenny, Sorry for the delay in extending our sincere appreciation for allowing us to stay at your Fripp home. We had a blast. It was the perfect home and great location on the island. The kids loved every aspect of the island activities. Each day we enjoyed the morning ocean tide and the "rivers" between each sandbar, lunch/tv/rest and swimming in the outdoor master hot tub, afternoon visits to Camp Fripp, playground, Hunting Island and Shrimp Shack, late afternoon swims at Cabana Club (kids loved all 3 pools and hot tub), evening golf cart rides around island (golf cart was a kid highlight), and best of all mom & dad relaxing on porch listening to ocean while the kids watched videos. The kids loved the wild and ocean life (alligators, deer, lizards, frogs, turtles, crabs, dolphins, mosquitoes-NOT) and the banana tree at the Cabana club. We will be sure to recommend your home and Fripp Island to friends and family. We hope to return next year. Thanks for the making our trip affordable and most of all a very very memorable experience for our family.

The location of this home is perfect - close to the pool, walk/bike to the pier or just sitting on the porch and watching the tide. The cool weather did not deter us any. The children swam in the bath-like pool. We played games in the house and watched movies in every bedroom. A fun and relaxing time! Can't wait to come back in the summer!

We had the pleasure of spending the Thanksgiving holiday at the Brooks's lovely Fripp beach house. The accommodations were wonderful and our large party of 10 easily fit. Our favorite part was crabbing at the Skull Inlet pier just a short walk across the bridge from our front door. The kids loved the marsh walk along the pier and spotted many different types of wildlife. We really enjoyed the use of the golf cart. It was fun getting places, too! Thanks for a great holiday!
