Les Deserts our beautifully restored cottage is situated on a hill just outside the sleepy hamlet of St Christophe De Chaulieu, and has wonderful views of the neighboring pine forest and Normandy countryside it offers a haven of peace and tranquility whilst still being close to all of Normandy's many attractions, a perfect location for a family or romantic vacation. Les Deserts retains many original features including exposed oak beams and feature granite fireplace which houses a log burner for cooler nights. The very comfortable living area is tastefully furnished and has large comfy sofas with satellite TV and DVD with surround sound and a large DVD library for your entertainment. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped to make your stay at Les Deserts more comfortable with dishwasher,washing machine, gas hob/oven etc. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms consisting of two doubles and one twin all bedrooms have heating for winter lets and floor standing fans for the summer months, all are pleasantly furnished
Please not this is a non smoking house and is only permitted outside

Outside, the south facing terrace has lovely views of the forest. It is a beautiful place to sit and relax, and maybe spot the local wildlife such as Deer, red squirrels, hares and many different kinds of birds, and if you are luck wild boar. There is a gazebo with table and chairs, and barbecue and plenty of lights for dining alfresco. To cool of in the summer months, there is a plunge pool and sun-loungers, and for our younger guests, there is a sandpit, play equipment and a selection of garden games.

Because Les Deserts is on the edge of 3 departments, Calvados, Orne and Manche, it is the perfect location for discovering all that Normandy has to offer. From the Mont St Michel, The d-day beaches and museums, Villedie les poeles and Bayeux are all within easy reach from our cottage.Please visit our website for more photos and information ( follow link at the bottom of the page)
